    After many years working for the same organization, I knew I wanted more that just a resume editor to help me with my resume and on-line profile. I needed an independent and experienced professional to help me with how I presented myself and with whom I could discuss my background and what I wanted in a future role. I found this in Mary. I started working with Mary on a long phone call where she reviewed my resume and discussed a plan and the services that made sense for me. I paid using PayPal and we immediately got started. Using some sample templates, we had several rounds of emails for various resume drafts. I ended up interviewing for three jobs and got her input on how to tailor my resume for each. She also provided a very helpful interview guide she authored that is full of practical advise and how to answer typical questions. Having her guidance gave me the "boost" to keep working on my profile and keep pursuing the goal of getting a new job. When I did get an offer for a job I was very happy with, I had new knowledge and confidence to negotiate another 5K to my new base salary.     I was very pleased with the services of Your Signature Resume, and with the exceptional quality results. Mary and her resume writing team are very professional and after a pleasant and thorough process they had produced a very impressive resume. The process: First Mary had reviewed my existing resume and gave me some good and effective comments and suggestions. Then I have sent my resume and example positions to my resume writer, Josh, and had a lengthy and thorough conversation with him regarding my professional history, the positions I am interested in, and my expectations from the resume. The phone interview was scheduled quickly and Josh had accommodated my request to speak on a weekend. The phone interview was as long as required, and I felt being listened to and not rushed. After two editing iterations, another helpful conversation with Josh, and a peer review process by Mary and her team I got a resume that I am very pleased with and which I found impressive.     It was an overwhelmingly positive experience.  Unlike other posters, due to the positive reviews here on Angie's List, I had little apprehension about paying up front.  I also wasn't in a rush- my main concerns were finding the right person who would truly customize my resume, and finding the time to get the job done. Mary worked around my crazy schedule.  After our initial telephone interview, at my request she agreed to correspond by email throughout most of the process, although I got the sense she would have preferred a more personal approach.  Mary has a wonderful, sweet disposition, and I'm, well, Boston.  I felt a little badly about it but I truly didn't have the time!!      Over the course of two weeks, we traded emails and a couple of phone conversations and came up with a comprehensive resume that highlighted my strengths and cross functional abilities.  Mary then went to work on the cover letter.  Before it was even completed, I had sent the resume to four potential employers and received three responses.  In less than a month, I landed a new position in a different industry after almost a year of attempting to make this transition.  Better yet, no concessions.  Even though I had told Mary I was so motivated to make a move I was willing to step down, nothing in my resume reflected that.  She forced me to focus on my accomplishments and found the words that conveyed them along with my strengths.  The process was like career counseling and resume services wrapped into one.  I feel more confident, and I couldn't be happier with the results!

    Mary and Josh were great to work with, and I found the questions Josh asked about my experience helped me define the kind of experience I had in much more concrete terms than I would have done on my own. The technical skills and terms on the initial draft were a little boilerplate, but we tuned them up and I have a narrow technical speciality with lots of jargon I wouldn't expect someone outside the field to be familiar with. There was a longer than anticipated lead time in starting work on the resume and getting the first draft, but I had made it clear I wasn't in a time crunch so they could prioritize people who were out of work and needed help much more urgently. The final product was superb and with modest editing on my part I am proud to distribute this resume.

    I contacted MSR by e mail and was contacted with an hour by phone. I secured what I wanted via the on line ordering process and with 24 hours was assigned a writer (Josh.) He was excellent.  We spoke on the phone for quite a while he made sure he knew what I wanted and within a week I had the first draft of my resume. I only had a couple of minor changes to it and within a day it was finished. Then he sent me the first draft of the cover letter which was perfect. The process was complete. I am very satisfied.
