Five Tips to Get the Most From Your Electrical Inspection

Electrician reviews in Merrimack

Art and his team(Josh) came into our home to install some recessed lighting in our family room. They were a pleasure to work with. They were reliable, extremely professional, efficient, great communicators and very tidy. Like most homeowners, we had a 'couple' of other things we asked about while they were here. We had a couple of electrical issues that needed to be diagnosed/fixed and had an extra outlet put in the hallway. He did all of this at a very reasonable price. We also noticed he serviced Generac generators and he fixed an issue we had with that as well. We do feel we have a great electrician that we can call and highly recommend!

We had a bathroom remodel done by Charlie and had several major issues. The plumbing on the tub was not installed correctly which caused water damage to our kitchen ceiling the first time we used it. Charlie did "repair" it but it was poorly done. I ended up withholding the last payment of $400 to put towards hiring another contractor to repair correctly. The $400 did not cover the cost of the repair and the full ceiling repaint that was required. The tub that was installed squeaked since day one and has not been properly fixed. To have the tub re-installed correctly is would cost around $2,000-$2500 based on two quotes I got. Charlie's solution was to cut a whole in the bedroom closet wall to shim the tub. With all the issues we had I told him I would rather have some else repair it. He said he could fix it for free or give me $200 towards fixing it. The tub still squeaks two years later every time we use it. Almost 1.5 years after the bathroom remodel we found poor electrical wiring in the attic for the bathroom vent. Charlie did apologize and paid to have Custom Electric come and install it correctly. I am just glad we found the issue before it caused any damage. There are other smaller issues as well but you get the idea I went with Charlie and Granite State General Contractors based on all the great reviews and ended up with a lot of issues so please take this into consideration when making your decision.

He was very good, he did a good job and was reasonably priced. The price was not outrageous considering what he did. He was very good, he was prompt, did what he was suppose to do and was pleasant while he did it.

He's coming back ion two weeks when I finish with the cement block work to do some more lighting, plugs and so forth since I had to redo the area. He always gives me a hard time. I give him all As all the way down the line for showing up, being competitive, finding that weird part that nobody else needs. Somehow he know where to get it. He's collecting some lights for me and stuff to put in to make this new storage area lit up and fun to use for people.

Jerry was very prompt. He showed up right when he said he would. He went over every detail with me and answered all my questions. He was always easy to get in touch with. If he missed my call he returned it quickly. He's going to be coming back in a few weeks to install a bathroom vent fan for me. He'll definitely be my go-to electrician, and I completely recommend him.

Called Evan based on the reviews here.  I was worried that I had a short in one of my electrical lines.  Evan answered my called, provided some quick feedback, asked some questions and gave me an estimate.  After seeing the photos I sent to him, he followed up with a call to verify the issue and set a time to come over....the same afternoon.  We set a time of 4pm and at about 3:55pm he texted that he would arrive by 4:20pm.  Much appreciated knowing you were running late, as so many people do not provide that simple courtesy.  Upon arrival and with a quick inspection, my issue was resolved quickly and efficiently.  Evan was personable and friendly.  Cost of work was as quoted.  Would recommend and will use again in the future.

I called JW Chick and got a return call right away.
He was very responsive, handling a number of electrical problems I had with a home I was preparing to sell.
He did a great job and I couldn't have been more satisfied.
I would definitively use him again.

Even's team was friendly and very polite! They arrived on time and didn't mind navigating around my two very busy toddlers, who on more then one occasion asked them questions or to "watch a trick". I was very pleased with the excellent work and the way that they cleaned up when they were finished! I will be using Evan Jones Master Electrician again in the future!

Don originally came to the house for a free estimate.  After receiving the contract, he gave us a start date contingent on finishing other work.  He arrived the morning that was originally given.  By the end of the first day, one wall was removed, and new supports were in place for the removal of part of the weight-bearing wall.  We were so impressed with his work ethic, the quality of his work, his respect for our home and the quality of the electrician he recommended to do some of the work.  He is a true professional.
As an aside, while he was working on our home, our water heater died.  Don did the research, gave us a quote that evening, and replaced the heater within two business days.  We had called another provider, not knowing that Don did this work, they had given us a date a week later, and at a much higher price.  Don mentioned that he was able to replace water heaters and we were grateful to be able to go with someone whose work we really appreciate.

I called Granite State Electricians in a panic after discovering a bunch of power lines with no slack blocking installation of a 100" in-ceiling home theater projector screen.  Chuck from GSEP arrived punctually and ready to work at the agreed upon time and got right to surveying the situation.  There were a few ways to resolve the issue of four 20A and one 30A power lines directly in the way of the screen installation.  After consulting with Steve (boss), he decided to go with UL-listed AMP-connects to extended the four 20A lines and install two accessible boxes with panels in the ceiling to handle the reroute of the 30A line.
Progress was slow, but steady, and after 6.5 hours, the job was complete and functional.  During the whole installation, Chuck was pleasant, friendly, professional, and willing to explain the options available.  My only minor complaint is that he seemed to take his time doing the work, especially compared to two other contractors working at the same time.  I asked Steve about this and he explained that working around other contractors can slow down progress, and electrical work always takes longer than initially expected.  These are reasonable explanations, but my casual observation as the morning extended to mid-afternoon was that Chuck took his time, almost to a fault, to get the job completed.
I'm still extremely grateful that Granite State Electricians were able to immediately respond to my dire need, and will use them again for any one of a number of services they provide.
