  • We could not be more pleased. Shawn came out to do an estimate right on time and his price was more than fair. We agreed on the price and he said he would be in touch early the next week. He was true to his word and came out right when he said he would. He worked hard and did a terrific job and cleaned up everything before he left. Highly recommend MacDonald Tree Service for both tree trimming and removal. We will definitely use him in the future.

  • I was sued by Accurate Landscaping & Plowing, LLC of 720 East Industrial Park Drive, #8, Manchester, NH for posting on a closed Facebook Mother’s Group that I thought their quote to me for landscaping was “outrageous.” More specifically, I had posted to a Mom’s Group looking for information about average costs of landscaping services. After seeing the responses, I believe the quote I was holding from Accurate was out of proportion. I posted, in part, “Literally the quotes I got were between 3 and 5k. For a yard w no leaves to clean up, weed, edge beds and mulch.” I later posted, “Well just in case anyone wants to know, the most outrageous quote I got was from Accurate Landscape.” Accurate Landscaping’s owner, Preston Ezzideen, then contacted me and asked me to remove the post. He argued that by stating the quotes were between 3 and 5k and then calling Accurate’s post outrageous I had made a false and defamatory statement. I disagreed, as obviously a quote could be outrageous for any number of reasons. It may be that the quote is too high, it may be because they spent only seven minutes at my property. However, in an attempt to appease Mr. Ezzideen, I did alter my Facebook post to read, “I realize that I may be asking a question with no real answer, but what’s a reasonable price for spring cleanup/mulching from a landscaping company? I am holding a $3400 quote which seems really high to me.” The later post then read, “Are you all leaving off zeros? And if not, who are you using. For example, I was quoted $3400 by Accurate Landscaping for a yard under an acre w no leaves to clean up and for weeding, edging beds thatching and mulch.” I did not delete my previous post where I called the quote “outrageous,” as that was my opinion. I was then contacted by Accurate Landscaping’s Attorney. I was threatened with a lawsuit if I did not remove the post. They claimed my post was inaccurate because it did not describe the scope of work, although what I specifically requested was a “spring clean-up” and that is what is noted on the quote. However, again in an attempt to appease them and avoid being sued, (and also within the deadline imposed by their counsel), I modified my post to state the exact language, word for word, of Accurate’s quote to me. This did not appease Accurate Landscaping and they sued me. I have spent thousands of dollars defending myself against this lawsuit. I believe it is my First Amendment right to render my opinion of a business in any forum. As such, my opinion is that Accurate Landscaping is not a company I would want to do business with. In my opinion, they sued me because I gave an opinion of their company that they did not like.

  • Mike and his team were very safety conscious and professional. Mike came to our house Sunday evening, and his crew was here first thing Monday morning to remove the three trees. The job was completed quickly and safely. They did a great job and I would highly recommended them.

  • Estimate went great. Showed up on time and answered all my questions. Day of service.. never confirmed, but early one day opened my blinds and there were a bunch of men in my yard. Went out to speak with them and very awkward exchange but confirmed what I needed done and left as I had to go to work and didn't know they were coming to plan around it. Ended up hacking wrong tree. Very unhappy with the work done. Spoke with office, very understanding. Still need to have stump grinded as that was part of initial quote and explained issues with crew showing up unanswered and how important it was especially after this that I be home (to make sure it's correct tree and also as I have pets). Wasn't able to answer phone when they called as I was at work, so they showed up and if they could have gotten in my yard again would have again done project unannounced. Moving forward will go with another company, perhaps pay more, but hopefully correct trees will be trimmed (or in this case, hacked!) and communication will be better.

  • Jake at Deep Green Landscaping was hired to do several things and it was a costly job for us but we had saved up and were excited to do it. The owner appeared to be honest and dedicated to doing this job well and reassured us that we would be very happy. The fence was first which he installed UPSIDE DOWN. He also did not bring the need equipment to get it done right causing it to take a long time. We had the manufacturer come out and take a look. Thats how we found out it was done upside down and in their words installed very poorly. This contractor argued that he did it that way on purpose because it would be stronger and he was not going to fix it. Later when we knew we had no other option we hired another contractor to flip it right side up and fix it. Deep Green laid down sod that was infested with fungus and our entire lawn had mushrooms. This caused rashes on my dogs and with that vet bills. When we complained about the fungus he said that we should get fungus killer and put it down as if were our responsibility to fix the new diseased lawn he installed. His foreman was on the speaker phone in our yard with the sod company and we heard the sod company say all the sod was "under water and diseased". He knew this but did not take care to fix it. The foundation rocks Deep Green put down were done so carelessly that I had to ask them to try and make the line straight. It was the sloppiest work I had ever seen. They were just dumped and in mounds. They also destroyed areas of my clapboards because they dumped huge piles that hit the boards and broke off chunks of wood. They dropped mulch off outside my upside down fence and left it there and never came back. This was last summer. I attempted to contact this contractor several times and got no response. HIs own crew was angry with the way he was dealing with our job and others customers too. We saved and were looking forward to this huge investment in our property. Our lawn is completely dead and as I mentioned we had to pay to have the fence done over. The mulch was never put down and this contractor never came back, answered or returned a call or text and did not attempted to fix this. DEEP GREEN = 14,000.00 DEEP DISAPPOINTMENT

  • From the beginning i felt comfortable with John and his team. He showed up on time to the estimate appointment and went over all my option with me for my patio project. Instead of just throwing out numbers at me like the other appointments I had from other companies he went over color and design options with pavers, concrete , colored concrete, and even a patio cover and artificial turf. John also went over the construction process and time frames for everything and made it seem easy. I was very pleased that John and his crew can do everything to upgrade my back yard. The cost of our project was well with in our budget and i was pleased that John didn't hard pressure sell us. We ended up going the Pavers for my back patio and installed a patio cover. The paver crew that came out was fast and very efficient. They showed up early and stayed late to get my project finished by our deadline. The Patio cover crew completed my patio cover in about 5 hours. I thought it would have taken a lot longer to get my new back yard due to past experiences with other contractors. I look forward to working with John and his team to redo my drive way and front entry.

  • It worked out well, it?s just really expensive. I liked them. It?s just that there were a couple of things that they did that I did not realize that were not part of the program that they had. It runs about $700 for the season and then you have other little things that they do.

When I signed up, they basically gave me the top of the line program, which I didn?t expect. So, I had the mosquito treatments. The aeration, core aeration and the over seeding, those were an additional amount of money. That was like a sick shock to me. They are a good company.
Sometimes these companies are a little too big for their britches, because they don?t give you all the specific information, and that?s one thing that I didn?t like about them.

I think that there were a couple more treatments in the fall that I ended up having to pay probably another couple hundred dollars for all together. We are talking $700 for the service and then these additional little things. If you have the money, they are a good company, they really are. I was really happy, especially with the summer being what we had last year. They had 2 different types of programs. They had one that was even more expensive that was like strictly organic.

I was happy. I just would have liked to known up front. These guys took a little longer to come out. They would always give me an email or a heads-up call. I probably would not use them again, because of the cost. I tried working with them and we tried to reduce certain things and it just wasn?t going to work out with their program. It wasn?t really easy to modify this plan that I wanted. I went with somebody totally different this year.

  • They did it, I wasn't home. I saw the little pellets on the ground when I came home. I have them under contract this coming year too. I did last year talk to them about pricing because I left them and went to another service for a year and then we did negotiate down a better price. This year Christmas was so busy I didn't have time to think about it, I just went ahead and did it again. It is higher than a lot of other places.

  • Shawn was very professional and showed up when he said he would. He removed 8 trees and did a great job with the clean up. He completed the work within a few days. I had several estimates and he came in with the best price well below all the others.

  • We had a tree removed that was extremely close to our home, as it stood about 2 and a half times higher than our house, it was a danger.

The estimate we got from Shawn at Trees Are Us was about 1/3 lower than any other estimates we got from other contractors.  We verified that the business was insured, since they would be working so close to our home, and agreed to have Trees Are Us remove the tree.

Shawn and his crew were very thorough, they completely removed the tree, hauled away the debris, and cleaned up the work site, all for much less than any of the other contractors who had given us an estimate.  We would use them again.
