    MIKE'S QUALITY CAR CARE
Very professional, neat and clean facilities.  Job is completed by capable technicians.  Issues are brought to your attention for discussions and decisions.  In this case the decision was made to change to synsetic motor oil.  The manager goes over the bill with you when the job is complete and the car is parked outside ready for you departure.  The vehicle was not returned with oil and grease spots on the cab or on the body of the vehicle.

    SANBORN'S AUTO REPAIR
As I said above - all work is done professionally with no hidden costs or gouging. I trust Ralph 100%. I love my car and want it to last as long as it possibly can since wagons like that are no longer available. Ralph isn't trying to make BIG SALES --- he's always candid about what needs higher quality and what other things will be fine with less expensive parts. Customer Service is not a meaningless phrase!

SpeeDee Oil Change and Tune-Up of Sturbridge
I was on my way to an appointment in CT from New Hampshire, and I pulled in to SpeeDee after finding them on my GPS. At about 8am I had noticed that my muffler was becoming very loud, and guessed that I probably had a hole in the muffler or tailpipe. I pulled into SpeeDee and left my truck and went on my way in a rented car. Nick called me and told me what the issue was and told me that the fix would be about $65. Instead of replacing a bunch of things that didn't need it, or somehow charging me outrageously because I was in a bind, from out of state, and not able to check what he was quoting, he as TOTALLY HONEST and fixed the problem perfectly at a very fair price. I also asked him to change the oil, and he checked and filled all the fluids that needed it. If you are looking for a HONEST and FAIR mechanic, I'd recommend him without reservation.

    SECOND CAR CENTER
It's a used car place. They charge more or less the regular auto shop rates like $65 an hour or $75 an hour. They charge whatever is the going rate. The guy over there has on several occasions saved us money by saying that I didn't need to do it then. He does the work that needs to be done. He tells us when it's not worth it. He has helped us out on numerous occasions. We are satisfied with the quality of the cars that we buy from him. He gives assistance after sales service like maintenance of the cars and repairs. We have been using him for several years. He is our first choice when we need to do something related to cars. The last car that we bought was a little over $4000 and it was a used car. It was in a good condition, but it only lasted two months. However, that wasn't his fault. They sell used cars. I don't think they do auto body work or detailing and I think they contract that out to others; at least major auto body work. I am not sure if they do transmission. They do regular maintenance and they fixed the radiator when I had a problem with it. I had a problem with my anti-lock brake sensors on one of my cars. I took the car first to the dealership that sells that type of car because I figured they might specialize in that and know that. Then the guy over there looked and said that he had to change the whole assembly which would be $800. So, I took it to the car center who sold me the car. The guy looked at it and told me that it would be a maximum of $120. He said that he would take out the part, change the one bad piece and put it back together. That's the kind of guy he is and that's why I go back to Second Car Center. I would recommend him to other people. I know I have to go out and look for another used car, but he may not have what I need. However, I would always give him the first opportunity to sell me something. I would definitely use his services in the future too.
