Appliance Repair reviews in Hampton

  • Paul returned our call immediately and came to our place to scope out the job that day. He had to order some replacement parts and returned to compete the job once the parts came in. He was knowledgeable of the appliances and was very personable to chat with during the repairs. I would definitely recommend Paul to anyone needing appliance repairs and actually need him again for our dyer.

  • Technician diagnosed the problem quickly and efficiently. He had the part with him and had it installed and working within 30 minutes. Fair, reasonable and courteous. I would highly recommend this outfit to anyone.

  • Rod and Connor quickly found the issue and confirmed it was damage caused by the flooring contractors, and mitigated the repair work needing to be done after they fixed the punctured pipe in the wall. Would hire again for sure and recommend to friends.

  • I called Tom Lynch for my pellet stove problem. He returned my call promptly and scheduled a visit only a few days later. He thoroughly cleaned my pellet stove, and was able to show me how to clean the air intake myself between annual cleanings. He saved me from installed a new auger motor by showing me that the necessary cleaning was the true cause of my problem. He was prompt, professional, explained things well, and was reasonably priced. Will plan to hire Tom again for my pellet stove needs.

  • He did not come at the arranged appt time or day so I called for another time. He arrived at this appt and said the refrigerator motor needed to be replaced. A while later, when the motor came on again ( and he had left, saying all was fixed), I noticed the noise was still there! I called back several times before Phyllis, who manages the phone, finally called me back and scheduled another appt. By now it was Fall, 2015, After waiting weeks and making several calls to find out where the motor was, he returned and put new motor in and immediately left without obviously checking to see if noise was gone. By the time I went to check the noise, he had driven away

  • Matt was prompt, professional and courteous. I had an over the range microwave/convection oven that was not getting any power. I had called Richard's Appliance, to diagnose the issue and they said it needed a PC board and relay board, which would cost over 500 dollars. I paid 79.95 for the service call and decided that even though the unit was 1200 dollars new, it was 8 years old and it would be better to replace it. I purchased a new one at State Street Discount and was given Matt's name at Euro Appliance as an installer that they work with. He picked up the unit and when he showed up to replace it he asked if he could check something with the old one. He removed the panel and within 5 minutes diagnosed the issue as a blown overheat sensor, a twenty dollar part. He was able to make a temporary fix and ordered the new part and returned the new microwave for me that I no longer needed. I would use Matt again in a heartbeat. State Street was also great about taking the other microwave back for a full refund. I would not use Richard's Appliance again. The worst part about Richard's was that I told him I had researched the oven I had and there were a lot of complaints about blown TCOs. He assumed me that everything was working and that it needed the PC board and relay board.

  • The oven was installed in 2005, but not used very much due to this being a second home.  The repair technician took the front panel off and checked some fuses and diagnosed the problem as being that the P/C board and relay board were blown and needed to be replaced.  He said it would cost approximately 500 dollars to replace those parts and it may not be worth it even though to replace the unit with a similar model would be approximately 1200 dollars, which is what the unit cost new.  I agreed with him and purchased a new unit from a State Street Discount and they gave me the name on an installer they use (Matt at Euro Appliance).  He came to install the new unit and asked if I mind if he check the TCO (overheat sensor) on the broken unit and sure enough that was all that was wrong with the appliance.  He replace the 20 dollar part and I was able to return the new unit to State Street for a refund.  I called Richard's Appliance to provide feedback to them directly and they took the information but were not willing to issue a refund for the service call.  I would use Euro Appliance again in a heartbeat but not Richard's.

UPDATE:  I received a check in the mail refunding the amount of the service call in addition to the cost of the part that needed to be replaced.  It's good to see a company that will admit their mistake and go above and beyond in making up for them.

  • I was asked a series of diagnosis questions on the phone, which all pointed to the fan having broken. When they got here as described on the phone, they didn't have the exact part they needed but they have jury rigged a fix so we can use the fridge and freezer again until the part is in.
It took about a week and a half to get the parts, they came back and fitted the new fan and the fridge is working great. all in all a great experience.

  • Called to give a quote on installing new appliances and plumbing for them. Was out of town and sent son. Son arrived almost 1 hour late. Went over everything we wanted and would get back to us with a price. Three weeks later we called to see if a quote was available. Father wanted to come and check out for himself. Made appointment for next day at 10am. He did not come and did not call. He also will not get the job.

  • Dishwasher did not drain. I pulled it apart, cleaned everything, checked all hose lines for blockage, replaced the pump. Still would not drain. Tech found that some debris was lodged in the right angled connector of the hose under the machine. Replaced hose. Dishwasher back to normal. Extremely happy with service and tech's knowledge.
