Hvac Repair reviews in Exeter

Jordan Signature Heating is a great company with very professional and dedicated employees. They do a very thorough job for maintenance and repairs, they came couple of times on very short notice in rough weather to restore the heating in our home. Very reasonably priced, they are looking to establish long term relationships with customers. We now use only them for our heating needs.

When you are used to settling for average or even poor service, it is nice to know that there are still companies like Main Stream Mechanical that excel at what they do. From the first contact to following up on the results, MSM promised and delivered. Their techs were prompt and thorough, explained the process and made sure that all systems were functioning properly before departing. Brenda was nothing short of spectacular in her communication and ability to get HVAC techs and electricians to us when convenient and promised. I could not give them a higher recommendation and hope they will be there if ever needed again down the road.

Doug returned an emergency call in the evening within five minutes and was on-site the next morning. He and his crew fixed a broken copper heating pipe and purged air from the entire system, taking care to make sure the boiler and three zones all were working well. Very professional, very personable. I'll hire them again for sure.

Our furnace had been intermittently failing to ignite for months. Tried three different contractors and none could figure out the problem. One replaced the pressure switch ($200). Another replaced the inducer ($450) and then it failed to light a few days later. They came back ($150 service call) and just shrugged and said we need a new furnace. Quoted $12K for it. I laughed and told them I'd look elsewhere. Problem went away for a couple months and then, of course, stopped working during a really bad cold snap. Had yet another contractor come out who managed to get is started but then it stopped running later that day. The next day I called Mainstream and they said they were very busy but would call back. Several hours later they called and I told the tech (owner?) the symptoms. I'm somewhat knowledgable about mechanical things and told him that I tested the pressure switch, checked the vent and that the furnace was able to start with the firebox cover removed. He said "the intake vent is blocked, I guarantee it". I told him I looked inside the vent and he said "then it's blocked somewhere where you can't see it". He said that often times leaves get sucked in and are trapped by a small screen right at the furnace entrance. While I had him on the phone I removed the intake pipe and sure enough there were some leaves in there. Cleaned out the leaves and the system fired right up. I've spent over one thousand dollars over the last few months trying to get this problem sorted out and this guy figured it out over the phone. Told him he just earned a customer for life. Most of the HVAC contractors around here are either incompetent, dishonest or both. Mainstream is the real deal.

This guy is a crook. Sabotaged my A/C unit. 2nd floor A/C unit stopped working. Came out and said the whole system needed to be replaced. Did a lousy job of that and it doesn't even blow very cold. Kept telling me the 1st floor unit needed to be replaced too due to "strange readings". Next day (coincidentally) the 1st floor unit stopped working. He kept calling pressuring me to replace the 1st floor unit. I got suspicious so I called another contractor to look at the 1st floor unit. They said the system was bone dry and that it looked like someone had drained it. Run, don't walk away from this company. Too top it all of he massively overcharged me for the 2nd floor unit. Over $8000. Most HVAC contractors around here are either incompetent or dishonest. This guy is both.

This company is either incompetent or dishonest, they charged me to do the same repair twice in a six month span, on a 12 year old gas boiler. Plenty of alternatives to DF Richard. I won't be fooled a third time.

Excellent - Erik took the time to explain everything to us and actually listened to our questions. He made recommendations based on our needs and was within budget. He and his team were always there when they said they would be. They completed the job efficiently and always cleaned up after themselves. Highly recommend this company.

I am very impressed with Cal's air conditioning, and so happy I hired them to replace my home central air system. The work was absolutely perfect ---- very clean and professional. They were on time, extremely courteous, and have a level of expertise that exceeds that of several other companies I received quotes from. HIGHLY recommend this company. Thank you so much for the great work you did.

Called for service this morning, the nice lady in the office said she would try to fit me in this afternoon, or tomorrow. At 3:00 pm a very friendly and professional technician, Jim Allsop arrived and quickly repaired my 26 year old unit.

Jeff arrived on time and completed the work explaining everything done.  He noted an issue that we needed to address concerning the chimney cover and installed our new "NEST" thermostat.  When we called this morning (Saturday) with a question regarding the installation of the thermostat, he replied in a prompt and professional manner.
