Being new to the area, we kind of went on blind faith. We got several estimates and went with UCA. After they did amazing remodeling, we contracted them to do a customized deck as well. They proved to be honest, fair, and their talent is endless. Highly recommend for any constructive or asthetic remodeling.

My wife and I used Mike and his crew to completely remodel our kitchen as well as the bar in the living room. We purchased kitchen cabinets from IKEA, and had their contractors submit a proposal which ended up being more than 2x what Mike offered. Mike's crew were all extremely knowledgeable, very professional, and highly efficient. One of the guys supervised IKEA's installation crew to make sure they did a good job, and i think that made them work extra hard. In the end we ended up with a completely remodeled kitchen and bar, with a total cost near what some people pay for just the cabinets alone. We are very satisfied with the overall quality of the work, communications along the way, velocity of the project and the final cost. Highly recommend Jeff for any remodeling projects large or small.

    CertaPro Painters of Concord/Manchester NH
It went great. First, they came out and looked at my house within a couple days of my calling them, and they were able to start pretty soon after that (about a month). I thought of a couple other things to do when they started, and they did them with no problem and didn't add to their estimate even when I said I'd be fine with that. (Yet they subtracted from their estimate when we decided to throw away our fake shutters, instead of painting and rehanging them.) I'm pretty picky (as a teenager I worked summers for a high-end house painter), and I found a few touch-ups near the end, but that's an inevitable part of the process, and they did them all with no problem. They also cleaned up and removed all of their carpentry and paint-related mess. So, no drama, no nickle-and-diming, a very professional job.

The only thing that surprised me is that the carpenters left multiple bags of trash (cuttings from new trim) in black trash bags. I am pleased they nagged the materials, but would have expected them to take the waste. In fairness, this was not specified in the contract, which I will be sure to do in the future.

    Your House Remodeling LLC

Mike came and met with me on the date and time he said he would.  He took numerous photos and notes relative to the items I wanted quotes on.  All of his quotes for each item were reasonable except power washing.  I sent him a note that I had a quote for quite a bit less, and he said he would match that quote.  He sent an updated quote, which I signed and mailed back to him with a deposit for the work and materials.  He set date a date a few weeks ahead as he had to order the two windows that he would be replacing.

With Memorial Day being on May 26th, Mike said he would have his crew here on the 27th.  Low and behold one of his employees arrived at 7:40 AM on the 22nd to power wash the house, deck and garage.  Not expecting anyone, the family hadn't all taken showers as of yet, so I had to ask the employee to wait a half hour while showers were taken, since running the water from the outside spigot would affect the flow of water in the shower.  He was very polite and understood.  I sent Mike a email stating I wasn't pleased about the surprise visit and explained about the water.  He replied back quickly and apologized, stating he didn't consider the shower situation, and that he had dropped the ball on notifying us.  He promised it wouldn't happen again.

On May 28th, two employees arrived and got right to work.  They worked most of the day and had to come back for a couple of hours on Wednesday to finish up.

I was pleased with the workmanship and the price.  I would hire Mike again based on my experience with him.

    Cinderella Painting & Maintenance Inc
We hired Cinderella to paint 5 rooms for us.  There was serious water damage in one area that the painters took extra care to repair and make sure the water stains did not shine through.  I had read a lot of great reviews for this company but there were a few that concerned us.  But after meeting the estimator, his professionalism, reasonable price and sincere desire to satisfy us we hired the company to do the job.  This was the best contractor decision we have ever made!  They worked with us to select just the right colors to flow between rooms.  They showed up on time.  They were curious and personable (if that's a word).  Perhaps the biggest thing, they respected our home and  our family.  We learned that they provide many other home services.  They gave us a very reasonable price to replace an old electrical panel that was rusted.  The electrician offered to do a quick safety inspection of our home  while he was there.  We found a bad (one of those plugs that kicks off by itself) in the half bath and he replaced at no charge.  Love these guys.  We are planning on having them pressure wash and re-stain our deck and maybe fix the siding on the garage once the weather turns warmer.  You can't please everybody but boy they sure pleased us!!!!

    Chad's Painting
Things started well and he was on time and started to do work May 10, 2013.  Then started asking for more money.  Then his equipment broke. Then asked for more money which we were happy to provide thinking he has done a good job in the past and had done a lot of work in the neighborhood. June he showed up twice, July once, August not at all.  We had repeated phone calls, emails, promises to show up and finish.  He never showed up when he said he would or finish the job. It's been an embarrassment in the neighborhood to have a half finished fence.
He then promised to return all money due to the amount of time it's taken and to do the right thing. True to form he never showed up, and now won't return calls, or emails.
Con artist. Fraud.  He took all the money and left us stranded for 3 months waiting for him.  Finally had to hire someone else just to finish power washing the fence and putting sealer on it.
If you hire him, good luck!! DON"T PAY IN ADVANCE NO MATTER WHAT STORY HE TELLS YOU!

    Cinderella Painting & Maintenance Inc

I have read some of the great reviews this company has received from customers.  At first this is why we choose them.  Also, being woman owned. I liked that! They are "awesome!"  When we contacted Cinderella for an estimate they were prompt and courteous.  A time was set at our convenience. They did a walk-through of the work we wanted done.  We were not rushed and all of our questions were expertly answered.  The next day we received our estimate in email.  The price was noticeably less than all the other estimates we received.  And by far Cinderella was the most professional we encountered.  It was an easy decision to make.

The painters took great care covering furniture and protecting our floors.  There were a few damaged areas on the walls which were repaired.  Today you would never know they were there.  The rooms came out spectacular!!!   The fresh ceiling paint really brightened up all of the rooms.  Jerry helped us select just the right wall colors for each of the rooms and they used top quality Sherwin Williams paint.

We asked about having our exterior  front door repainted while they were there.  The crew had the exact black semi-gloss paint we wanted, in their van.  They called Barbara to approve the extra work and to our surprise she had her crew do it at no charge. One of the reviews I read about this company said something like,  It's like doing business in the old days.  They are friendly. They want to help you.  They really care about you.   They make sure you are satisfied.

Finally, we decided not to wait another winter before pressure washing and re-sealing our deck.  Jerry scheduled this over a number of days working with the October weather.  First it was pressure washed, weather wasn't a problem for that.  He allowed the deck to throughly dry before applying the clear sealant we choose for the deck.  The next week it rained.  Our whole family stood at the window watching the water bead up on the deck instead of soaking into the wood.

We can't say enough good things about our experience with Cinderella Company.  We recommend them highly.  Very highly. Their price was great.  Their work was impeccable.  They are nice people who really care about your home and you. Thanks Cinderella!  We'll be calling to have our exterior painted this summer.

    Tuxedo Painting LLC
Contract says: cover all windows / doors with plastic, tarp surrounding shrubs / bushes and cover any lawn furniture. No plastic was used, no tarps were used and I ended up with paint on my vinyl windows (had them come back 3 times to clean windows) paint on my lawn(after a seal blew in the airless sprayer), paint on my brick front walk, driveway, garden hose reels, a/c unit and new front door. Waste paint was dumped just off the lawn behind the bird feeders and fallen tree branches were used to stir the paint and just thrown to the side. Cigarette butts were  strewn about the property along with some trash. All these concerns were addressed with the owner of the company who really did not seem to care (he did address some of the problems). Painting took place in October/November  and I addressed my concerns as to the late time frame of the painting but was assured by the owner of the painting company it would be fine as they could paint down to 35 degrees. Decks were done with a semi-solid stain  the following  year as it was to late in the season to have them stained. (I have since re-stained the decks twice since they were done because of peeling).  When it came time for the touch-ups the wrong paint was used which left shiny spots all around the home (house is a flat latex stain and foundation is a satin latex paint). Within 9 months the home started to peel and the owner of the company was notified. He sent out the person who painted the home (sub-contractor with a poor attitude) who spoke with my neighbor and said he could touch it up with a Q-Tip. He was told not to touch it and to please notify the owner as to the problem. The owner of the company came out to look at the home and gave my neighbor (as I was not available) a poor excuse as to the problem. After a couple months of no contact my neighbor submitted a complaint to the BBB. The owner of the painting company tried to defend himself by saying my neighbor was trying to ruin his company and if she would drop the complaint, he would fix the peeling paint !   The home is a condex and two parties are involved. I have paid my half and my neighbor has paid her half so she is just as much involved as I. I have never heard from the owner of this company again. He has been given ample opportunity  to contact me (e-mails, registered letter, phone call) but has not. I contacted the area paint representative to have him come out and look at the home (did not tell him who did the work) and he said it was a combination of poor preparation, improper application, and improper time frame. He then took a paint sample of peeling paint to have analyzed and said it would be several weeks to get the results back. At this point I told him which company did the work  and he was surprised as to the outcome of the finished product. Said he would contact the company owner (as he knew him) to try and get him to repair the peeling paint. Never heard from this Paint Rep again despite several phone calls to his voice-mail. After the job was complete, the painter even left me the empty paint cans  which I had to dispose of ! $8,800 dollars for a paint job that lasted 9 months is unacceptable. This company has left me with a mess and now my home needs to be re-painted. This company needs to step up to the plate and take responsibility for its actions. It is my hope that perspective clients will see this review and think twice before spending money with this company.
