We had a plumbing issue that required us to remodel our powder room and replace the flooring in our foyer, powder room, and living room. Champ was the lowest bid by far of the 3 bids we had received and he could do the work quickly. When the work was first done, we were very happy with the work, and patting ourselves on the back for saving ourselves so much money. Soon after the install, we noticed some of the bamboo flooring started buckling. It was this summer when the floor really started to buckle in multiple places. We tried to contact Champ to ask him to come look at what was wrong with the flooring and he replied by telling us that the problem was with the wood not with the install. We had 2 other carpenters come out and look at the flooring, and the issue was that he had not installed it properly, he had not removed the baseboards when he installed the flooring, nor leave space between the flooring and the baseboard and applying shoe molding to cover the gap. In one room of the house, we had to have flooring replaced, and in our living room had to have the entire edge of the room dremeled to allow for expansion. When we Champ was done with the initial work, he was supposed to be working on building builtins for our living room so he kept our house key. I had to contact him multiple times to find out that he "was no longer at our service," and has not responded to my multiple requests to return my house key. I will now need to rekey my house. As it turns out, I am incredibly grateful that Champ was unable to do the additional work for us as we worked with a professional cabinetmaker who did the job of a true craftsman.

Bottom Line Up Front: Excellent experience! Tremendous job and I am very happy with how and what they did.

My small barn that had been built on a slab several decades ago needed to go as I had repaired it many times over and it was now literally falling apart around me. I contacted Keep Dreamin' Carpentry (KD Carpentry) and had them come over to give me an estimate on what I wanted torn down and what I wanted built to replace it (a much larger facility of my own design). Their experience at other places helped to enhance my original design.

They gave me an estimate and worked with me to reduce the cost. It came in as I had estimated so I was already happy. Demolition of the old structure and taking away all the material was done quickly. Then, ensuring everything was to code, they began the work of digging a real foundation; pouring the concrete; framing the new building; and ensuring everything was ready when finished; these guys were the best. All their sub-contractors (electric, concrete, etc.) were not only excellent but also said KD Carpentry was the best company to work with in the area. Not one bad comment but any delivery person who brought material as well.

Throughout the process of building, they would consult with me to make sure I was pleased and everything I wanted was taken care of. When problems came up (such as a huge boulder in the way of the foundation) they immediately came to me with solid recommendations and ways to adjust to make the new structure the way I wanted it.

Once finished, my neighbors came over to admire the building and to say they wanted something similar. My new structure is my hobby workshop and my wife says it is my new "Man Cave" and as long as I am happy, she says, she is happy.

Best money I spent on my property and more than worth what I paid for it. I will likely hire them to re-do my kitchen and bathrooms in the near future.

We must have paid close to $500 for the whole kitchen and an additional amount of $400 may be for doing the ceiling.  We’re just estimating because we don’t know the exact amount.  They were very professional and they provided an excellent contract initially.  So we knew exactly what we were getting and what we were paying for.  They were here within a week and had the job done.  Their price and punctuality were excellent.  We will absolutely use them again in the future.

The outcome was better than we imagined. Dan came in and took measurements, gave us some ideas of design, materials and colors. After listening to what we desired, Dan presented a quote to us within a couple of days. Work started on schedule and was completed within the budget and and the end result was just terrific! If we had questions along the way, his workers readily answered them and both Dan and Irina were there to assist whenever possible as well. The work area was always kept clean and they even vacuumed when they really didn't have to. My family and I, highly recommend Kitchen Tune Up for any job in the Kitchen or Bath!
