  • Extremely disappointed with this company after reading such great reviews on Angies List. We picked G.M. Roth for our project because of the reviews we read on Angies List but would never work with them again. We met with our designer to finalize our contract/numbers on March 16th (all product including tile had been picked out by this point). We put a downpayment of approx $14,000 and didn't hear from anyone for many weeks. After several weeks passed I sent many e-mails/inquires as to when we would be starting our project. On May 1st, our project supervisor contacted us (nearly 6 weeks after giving our deposit), and we were finally given a project start date of 5/8. We were told that our project would take approximately 2 weeks to complete, minus the shower glass which would take an additional week or two to come in. Our project ended up taking over 2 months to complete which is a far cry from 2 weeks. The only surprise during our project that caused a delay of any kind was a small area of rot in our subfloor which took 1-2 days to replace. There was also an incident with one of the subs where we lost a few days due to an illness, which was completely understandable. They ran out of tile on 3 separate occasions which caused extreme delays, often 1-2 weeks at a time. We ran out of floor tile, accent tile, grout, and pencil edging tile. Each tile shortage came at different times which caused such frustrating delays. The company then proceeded to present me with a bill for over $1,300 at project completion for a tile overage. The fact that we ran out of every kind of tile shows a complete lack of competency. The fact that they then presented me with a bill for $1,300 for tile overages after this disaster of a project (particularly the tile part of the project) was extremely petty and in poor taste. Our main contractor who ran the project was great to work with. Very pleasant to deal with, friendly with our pets and kids, and communicated everything to us in a timely manner. The subs that they used were all respectful and cleaned up after themselves. We are happy with the final product, but couldn't be any more disappointed with how the project went. I would never even entertain the idea of hiring this company in the future.

  • Both workers were meticulous in their work. They made the unit fit perfectly and took great care to ensure we were pleased with the end result. After each day they also cleaned the workspace and were punctual, pleasant and polite.

  • We worked with John and Mark for what we thought was a simple renovation for a second bathroom. Well, one thing led to another and it ended up being much more complicated than we originally thought - I take all the credit for the complications! John and Mark were incredibly flexible and patient! We are so happy with the outcome! Every time I walk by that bathroom, I smile at how beautiful it is!

  • Went well! The electricians were very clean, no damange to property. They did the job well and were very friendly.... they even took the time to point out an unrelated problem and offer solution to it (wrong wire gauge going to generator... potential fire hazard! Not part of the job scope but definitely glad he mentioned it!) Steve Moore is a good guy and willing to work with his customers. I was very impressed with the worksmanship and what these guys can do without needing to rip open walls and ceilings!

  • First of all, this is a glowing review. If you don't want to read through the details, just know that these guys are great! Steve and his team (Ray, Tom, Wayne, and another I can't remember) were all very professional, quick, efficient, and got straight to the point. I'm very happy with the services and would highly recommend Granite State Electric.
    I have had a total of 4 house calls with Granite State Electric. The first time the work wasn't completely completed in one day, so we had to reschedule for a few days later. Luckily (for me) there was a cancellation the next day, and Tom came back out to finish what we needed. 
    When we went to install the bathroom vanity lights (the electricians added the light boxes and we were going to finish them) we had an issue with our master bathroom. We also had a toe kick heater installed, but the power wasn't reaching the box. We call Steve back and he sent Ray out to troubleshoot for us. He spent several hours trying to pinpoint what the problem was, and in the end it was homeowner error. Ray was gracious enough to show us the problems and we were very happy in the end.
    The last house call was for a dining room chandelier that was throwing the breaker every time we turned on the switch. Rewiring of the dining room was one of the first house calls that the team had performed, so I contacted Steve and he sent Ray back out to fix our issue. It took him less that 20 minutes, and our chandelier was working.
    Having just moved to New Hampshire, I am very satisfied with finding a quality electrician that I can count on when I am unable to figure out the problem.

  • Honestly the guy came out.  He was nice enough.  He was not able to really come up with a plan.  Seemed very limited in his thinking/scope.  I am not even sure we got anything from this company in the end.  I ended up calling a kitchen designer to come and provide actual drawings...

  • His work is meticulous. I bought the kitchen from Home Depot, but I didn't want them or any of their subcontractors doing the work. He used to do Home Depot installation, so he knows how the kitchen clicked. He does really good work and can be a little pricey. I thought he overcharged me a little bit, but he did some cabinet work that I thought he undercharged me for. It kind of all worked out. The workmanship is really, really good. He's pricey but does good work. You get what you pay for. The job got bigger and bigger, as we went on.

  • It was really excellent.  The results were in a national magazine.  They company was excellent to deal with.  The designer, David Arnand, was wonderful.  I had very specific requirements, plus we were dealing with a historic home, so there were a lot of issues to overcome.  The cabinet workmanship was fantastic.  The customer service was great.

  • I had contacted the company early in the week and scheduled an appointment for Saturday at 12PM.
    I sent lots of photo's and measurements prior to our appointment so that the designer would have a good idea of what we wanted.
    We arrived on time for our appointment and to our dismay the designer had booked two additional appointments at the same time and started working with one of the other customers.  We were passed off to a sales person who was inexperienced.  We left after ten minutes.

  • Overall, I was delighted with the work and the men who did the work. There was one time I wasn't sure who was coming and when, but that got cleared up and I never had an issue with it again.  Luc kept things on track and was very easy to work with.  I can't say enough nice things about the guys who worked here and the work they did.  I had a couple of appointments and felt very comfortable leaving them alone in my house. I was only going to do the bathroom, but then decided to do the other two rooms as well.  Of course it cost more, but it was well worth it. That price for 3 rooms is not bad due to the fact the the house is old and not quite square or level in some spots.  I would recommend Queen City Remodeling to others, in fact I have recommended them to a neighbor.
