    K-WEST CONSTRUCTION
Great company to work with! I have a daylight walkout basement and wanted a patio cover installed over the entryway. Ken came out and talked to me about my options, and had great suggestions. The company did a great job of communicating with me about when the job would start, how long it would take, etc. I am extremely happy with the results. The entryway is beautiful, and looks like it's part of the house. Several neighbors didn't even realize we had added a cover to the entryway - it looks that much like the house! Very happy with the quality of the work done.

    Tru-Built Construction LLC
They're so big they don't really care about what they call small customers, that was what the one guy kept saying was, you know, blah blah, $500000 homes, blah blah, and it's like hello you're insulting me, I mean it was like over $100000 to work and I don't think that's nothing, you know, that was a big investment and for them to kind of put it down was not polite.  That wasn't Tru-Built so much as it was the young guy they had doing the overall contracting.  See they have workers/people in their company come out and do them.  It wasn't the owner himself.  It was due to the owner that I decided I would use them because I liked what his attitude, the young man they sent out was having all kinds of personal problems and his mind was not on the job.  They were here probably 2013, so it's been awhile but I've been at them for the floor heat problem and they just haven't, they just flubbed me off basically and the grout failed, the tile failed.  I don't think it was the grout guys fault, I think it was the fact that Fenton Electric came out and were testing for heat and turned the floor heat on before the grout was cured.  I'm like, shouldn't you know that?  I was so frustrated.  It's a really beautiful room, truly lovely, I had a full basement put underneath it and that's where I'm getting the rain.  The young man, he really worked hard, I mean he did work hard, and I know with these big companies that they have subcontractors and they don't always get them out like they should so I was a long time with my old part of the house just boarded up with plywood like a month and it was not pleasant.  I realize part of that is due to weather and I know they can't help that.  The main complaints were with the Fenton Electric that they subcontracted with and whoever did the measurements, I don't know who was responsible for not measuring my laundry thing right, I mean, I guess I know it was Jared, that he wasn't paying attention to having the kitchen bump out for my big refrigerator.

    Willet Construction Inc
I am in the middle of a 2-phase project on my 113-year-old house. Willet has completed the first phase which was framing and enclosing a 50 sq. ft. expansion of an existing bedroom, and creating a platform for a deck above that first floor addition. The second phase is removing the existing hip roof and replacing it with a gable roof sllowing access to the new deck and more space on the second floor. | |Eric, the project coordinator, estimated one week to complete phase 1, and Jeremy with his apprentice Kevin completed it in just over a week. The overage was mainly due to the surprises you always find when you open up a house of this age. Jeremy was very professional and knowlegable, and obviously enjoys working on older houses. It turns out he lives in a 1930s vintage house. | |I am looking forward to tackling phase 2 with Willet after returning from a trip to Florida.

    Tru-Built Construction LLC
Still in progress. Contractor is great and his subcontractors also. I'm not into story at the present time as I have too much else to do. My beef is with Angies List itself. I have made repeated requests for various services and have gotten NOTHING but requests for information on services i have used. So I surely would NOT recommend Angies list to anyone in the Lincoln area.

Mike was very clean and always left the house picked up at the end of each day. He made sure that I was happy in the end and I appreciated that!

Champion Windows and Home Exteriors of Omaha
    1. The salesman from Champion, Geoff Shinn, was well versed regarding the windows and patio doors I wished to install. He was courteous and helpful to assist me in purchasing exactily what I wanted. 2.  He personally measured each  window.  My orders and requests were professionally completed in a timely manner.   3   The installers left no messes for me to clean up. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Champion Windows Company . Their courtesy, professionallity and timely service was excellent!

    Carlson Projects Inc
On a Sunday afternoon (with Monday as a Holiday), when high winds damaged our roof, Mr Carlson came out immediately and put an emergency roof patch on, then after the Holiday, when the insurance adjuster (Allied Ins) came out and looked, they told me that Carlson Projects Inc was one of their best contractors and they gave me a check to pay for a new roof. 2 days later they started the job and finished in 2 days.

    Carpentry & Home Repair
I planned what I wanted, called Terry for input and discussed my options. Upon his advice, we made several changes to the project. He refigured the pricing and changes were made to the contract. Work progressed as planned. He was very neat and took great care to see that nothing was disturbed, putting things into place at the end of each day. The job was finished as promised and on time. We are very pleased.

    JL Exteriors
Lance of JL Exteriors did an outstanding job during a long and complex deck/sun room project. One vendor managed to ship the wrong custom French door and sidelite unit - wrong color, wrong opening (would block the deck stairs when open) - AND the wrong patio door (wrong side opened).  These units were nearly $10 grand worth of hardware; Lance took care of it all and made it right.  What could have a disaster (and a court fight!) turned into a routine delay instead when the vendor took back the incorrect products and replaced them with the correct units. He also made sure that the final details of both the deck and the screened-in sun room below came out right in both appearance and function. Highly recommended.  This project is featured in JL Exteriors current TV ads and made our comfortable but somewhat cramped 1979 brick ranch with walkout basement into our dream home.

    Remodel Nebraska
Work done was excellent. The problem is the President of the company who does the selling and bids the job. He misleads the potential customer by alluding to things being in the contract that are not. He offers materials at his "cost" and then enters their cost into the contract at prices over local retail prices. When questioned about these practices, he resorts to threats to get his way. When asked for a compromise on the final cost, concerning the add on price, he would do so only if I signed a waiver to my right to publicly review the job. Needless to say, I did not sign his proposed waiver.
