Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital
Business Description: The practice was first located at 9015 Ohio Street in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Bashara worked as a single practitioner of veterinary medicine there until 1981 when he hired his first associate. As Omaha grew, so did the need for veterinary services further west. Dr. Bashara opened a second veterinary hospital in 1985 at 120th and Blondo, which was then called Candlewood Animal Hospital. After a few years, and substantial growth, a third associate was hired. Both hospitals kept three full-time associates very busy for the next few years, and in 1997, Dr. Peter Bashara, an Iowa State Veterinary Medicine graduate and the son of Dr. Bashara, returned to Omaha and joined the family business. Omaha's continuing westward expansion once again required the need for veterinary services, and construction began to build a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital on the outskirts of the city. In 1999 the Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital was opened by Dr. Robert Bashara and his son Dr. Peter Bashara at 153rd and Maple in the Torrey Pines shopping center. The business continued to grow and currently has 44 professional and non-professional employees. Additional DBAs - Mapleview Animal Clinic PC, Candlewood Animal Hospital.

CRALSTON VETERINARY CLINICI had been using this clinic for 6 years. They have taken good care of my pets and were usually pretty responsive and usually on time with the appointments. What made me change clinics was I had setup an appointment for my dog's annual shots. The vet tech called me back, took my dog back and took his stats and said the vet would be with me shortly. After 45 minutes and no one coming in and it is now 7 pm (the clinic is closing), I walked out of the room and let them know I was leaving due to be forgotten in the room. I heard the vet on the phone returning calls to other patients and at no time did someone come to check on me and get my dogs shots taken care of. I let them know how unhappy I was when I was leaving and they said to wait they would get me waited on. At this point it wasn't worth the wait. Someone from the clinic called to see what had happen and the vet sent me an email. The vet had always taken good care of my pets, but it was unacceptable to have my dog wait that long to be seen. In the past I would have given them an average "B" rating, but after this they dropped to a "C". I do miss my vet, but I have found another great vet that was recommended to me that is taking care of dogs now.- Traci B.

ARockbrook Animal ClinicIt went fine. He likes them. He has been going there for years. He knows the vets there. They are good and they are conscientious. They make sure they look at everything. He tells me since he's older what may happen in the future and what to look for in case he gets some of the things that his breed are prone to get when they get older.- Tom B.

ABEST CARE PET HOSPITALIt went quite well. It was one of our pet cats that had gotten hurt. Hes an outside cat and they were able to get him in and take care of him and it all came out okay. I like their ability to diagnose him and to treat him so that he could heal.- Carol M.

ABEST CARE PET HOSPITALWe have been using them for probably like ten years. Scheduling is very easy. Its very easy to get the pets in. They send you reminders so that helps. The vets I go to, not a particular vet, but all the vets there are very concerned and very knowledgeable and communicate very well with us regarding our pets.- Carol M.

AMOBILE ANIMAL CLINICHe comes to my house, and he's great! He takes care of my English bulldog. I will use him and long as I have the visits, I will use him. He really likes bulldogs, so it's like two old friends meeting. My English Bulldogs are real big on people, bulldogs are notorious people lovers.- RICHARD J.

ACHANCE RIDGE VETERINARY HOSPITALReally love Chris, she is a great vet! She's very helpful and professional, but we saw the owner on one appointment and we didn't like him so much. He had a heavy hand with our cat and also charge us more. So ask for Chris she's the best!- Tyler And tarra B.

AUrgent Pet CareHe is an excellent surgeon, after three hours of surgery, which was his longest surgery, he successfully saved Mondo's life. I should also note that Mondo could still have squeakers in his stomach, but Dr. Yonker double checked other areas of the body and removed several more in his stomach.- Robyn L.

AWalnut Creek Veterinary ClinicWalnut Creek Vet Clinic is wonderful. They are very personable, and they really do care about the pets. They took the time and walked me through everything that could be done, and what they thought I should do and gave me the options. Very attentive, and they follow up very well to make sure everything is okay. It is a very simple place, it is clean and everyone is personable and friendly. And you do not have to sit and wait forever.- Stephanie B.

AUrgent Pet CareThe stall at the Urgent Pet Care in Papillion were amazing. I can't say it enough. I wish this was just a regular vet too, because I would go back. We had to bring our dog in several times to get drains removed, stitches and staples removed, and for check-ups. We were only charged the one time, and I felt that it was a very reasonable charged compared to the Pet Emergency Room that we have. The facility was also very clean.- Stephanie G.

AFurry Friends Animal HospitalThey are very compassionate caregivers, caring and recognize that your pets are family members. So, I really appreciated that. I thought they were very professional and very gentle with the animal. They are reasonably priced. We never had to wait over a few minutes.- Albertha T.
