Mold Removal reviews in Omaha

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • We paid $1300 for tear out of part of a wall, taking out a wall-length workbench, tear out of ceiling drywall where the duct work was, and mitigation. We paid $1700 for the remediation. The insulation/drywall contractor did a great job. I would give her a plug, but can't remember her name. I did have to buy a higher quality paint, though, since the contractor's choice wouldn't cover the hideous pink garage walls we had. While Alan gave the estimates, Terry supervised the work. I am satisfied with amount and quality of work for the price. We needed the work done ASAP and they complied.

  • We had a roof leak and mold in our attic and had several roofers out to address the problem, only to still have the same issues. We contacted Everlast Exteriors and found out that the mold in our attic was caused by improper ventilation. Everlast replaced the metal around our chimney, added bathroom exhaust vents as well as soffit vents and remediated all of the mold from our attic. We haven’t had a single issue since! Everlast Exteriors also backed their work with a lifetime warranty. They did a great job for a reasonable price and we were very impressed with their knowledge and the quality of work. I will definitely recommend Everlast Exteriors to anyone looking for exterior home repairs!!

  • The tester arrived on time and was very professional. He looked throughout the entire basement and garage. He said he would email us the report within a couple days. He asked for full payment when he left our home. A week later when we had received no report, I contacted him and received the report within 24 hours. The report was detailed, thorough, and well-written. 2.5 weeks after the examination, I received an email asking me to write them another check because they had no record of payment. The check had cleared my account a week earlier. It was another week before they could furnish me a receipt for insurance purposes. The impression is that they know their business well, but are very poor managers.

  • Ritch came out and looked everywhere for mold.  He checked under the carpet, at the base of the wall boards and as many places as he could.  He didn't find any sign of mold, thank goodness, so we didn't need to hire him to mitigate any issue.  However, he took a long time explaining the entire process of mold, mold testing and how I could deal with the carpet and base boards in my room.  He's very knowledgeable and informative, without trying to sell anything.  Thanks Ritch,

I highly recommend Dry Hero and if I ever need this type of service, he's the one I will call.

  • First of all let me preface by saying that I purchased this home on foreclosure and it had been neglected for several years, including the gutters which is what caused the leak in the foundation wall.  Because the problem was allowed to continue for so long it had spread to all of the drywall in the basement.  A-1 came in and removed the bottom two feet of drywall, vapor barrier, and insulation from all the exterior walls of my basement they also removed a few rotted spots of the framing and painted a couple small patches with a mold and mildew resistant paint.   The whole process took approximately a week and the did an excellent job of cleaning up after themselves.  After the crew left we noticed a couple patches of the block that still had mold stains on them, when I contacted them about this they came out again and painted the block in those spots.  Maybe I am naive about this, but I think that it would have been prudent to paint all of the exposed studs and blocks to hopefully prevent any future issues.  The workers that came to my house were barely out of high school, but they were professional although I don't know how experienced they were. Overall it was an unexpected expense so I am not happy about it, but they did an ok job.  I still think they were a little overpriced, but I didn't have time to get multiple quotes.

  • One of their representatives spoke with me about it on the phone for about 30 minutes, and then someone came out to my house to check it out. He was very thorough in looking throughout my whole space and then talking through a number of concerns I had. He said that he could not find anything immediate needing to be done that I could not do myself (antibacterial solution to wash the concrete, etc.), and after making sure I was clear on everything, he left without charging me for his time.

  • They scheduled the appointment the next day after I purchased from Angie's List. They arrived on time on the day scheduled. We had had other water damage in our home, and I asked for him to check for mold/mildew. He looked at my basement ceiling and kitchen floor--where the water damage was and said since it was so recent (approx 3 weeks) there was probably no mold/mildew buildup. He did test the moisture content in the kitchen floor.
I requested the name of someone he would recommend to do the ceiling repair and re-texturing. He told me he'd let me know as soon as he got back to the office. It's been seven weeks....must be a long trip to the office. I've never heard back from the
For this reason alone, I will not consider them in the future.
Did I get what I paid for? I don't know. I don't know how to check for mold/mildew myself--that was why I purchased the service.
Do I felt it was money well-spent? No. He was more worried about the job another company was doing replacing my floor, than actually what I had paid for him to do.
    Satisfaction? nope.

  • The team was great at answering all my emails where I was asking question after question really trying to understand what they were going to do and what products they would use etc.
It was a two day process: day one was insulation extraction, day two was remediation
The team showed up on time and was courteous and professional and patient as I asked even more questions as they were here doing the work. The extraction went well and the attic was very "clean" after almost 50 years worth of insulation, debris and "gunk" was removed.
I'm no expert, but the mold remediation looks great to my eyes - the fungicide they use goes on white so it's easy to look anywhere in the attic and see the result.
The crew did a great job sealing off my house using zippered plastic "doors" so we could get to our bedrooms at night. The idea was to isolate the attic from the house using negative pressure and that went off without a hitch. Their cleanup afterwards was great too - I didn't find any bits of insulation or debris anywhere in the house.

  • We had a water problem with mold and they put in a drain about 5"down on two sides of the home to divert the water around to the back. They also removed any mold and walls with mold and replaced them. They also replaced the garage door. The process has taken a couple months. They are not totally done. I will let you know if I am still satisfied in the the next couple of months.

  • Looked at what we thought could be mold we found under some carpet.  He determined that the 35 year old padding had deteriorated.
Jeff Spidle indicated he would be glad to clean up the deteriorated foam padding, but indicated we could scrape the black deteriorated foam from the floor and treat it as tough it had been mold (as small amounts of mold can be and usually is found in dark poorly circulated places).
Jeff suggested we scrape the floor thoroughly, wash it with soap and water, wipe on a
borax solution, let it dry and we would be 100% OK.
He saved us from a $2000 mold remediation expense that we certainly did not need to spend.
Jeff professional, honest and well spoken.
I recommend him to anyone that thinks they may need mold remediation.
