Glass Repair reviews in Omaha

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • They were professional and prompt. About a month after install, one of the basement windows cracked, I called them and they came out quickly and replaced the glass at no charge. Great company to work with!

  • The original installer (Elkhorn's technician) told us they had miss measured our opening. After 4-1/2 months. four service calls (one including the owner of the company), and many many commitments made and NOT followed through on, our door still does not operate correctly. We have asked for a full refund and removal of their door so we can go elsewhere and get one that works from someone else. Tonight (December 7th) on the phone, the Owner of Elkhorn Glass, RIck Stehno, called me an 'as**ole' and called my issue a "frigg'n mess". After I told him I did not appreciate his language, he hung up on me. I have also found out his business is NOT licensed, and NOT bonded ... user beware!

  • Dan provided the cost proposal. He was very professional and was very clear what our alternatives were. The glass enclosure was custom made so that took a few weeks but then the installer came and did a first class job installing.

  • Metro Glass did a great job on my replacing my windshield. They were professional, friendly, worked with my insurance and made it a painless process. High quality workmanship. While other places may be cheaper, Metro Glass uses original equipment manufactured for your vehicle not aftermarket products. Using OEM equipment is required to keep my car covered under its warranty.
I recommend them and would use them again without question.
**The approx Cost of Service is my deductible cost. I only have my receipt and don't recall what the estimate for the work was. I just know it was much more than my deductible.

  • Initial visit went well with bid coming soon after. When the replacement glass came in I was contacted to set up an appointment to do the install. The installers showed up on time and completed the work quickly and cleaned up any mess they made.

  • Castle Glass is an outstanding company. I have met with Brian on 2 occasions for services and appreciate his professionalism, creativity and honesty.

We are very pleased with the mirrors and frameless shower door and will always call Brian first.

  • We had a window in a dining room that had the seal broken. We could no longer clean it due to the residue between the glass.  We called several places and no one offered that service, just new full windows.  We called City glass, gave them the measurements, they quoted the price and we picked it up within a week.  It fit perfectly, my husband installed it.  Saved us a lot of money!

  • JW Builders did a complete bathroom remodel and installed flooring in the bedroom and a loft area, as well as painting the bedroom. The master bath is extremely small. It was a horrible little room with an oversize shower that took up the bulk of the room. JW Builders completely gutted the bathroom, reduced the size of the shower and installed ceramic tile in the shower, on the floor and baseboards and custom built a vanity and storage closet.   Due to the shower?s new, smaller opening, positioned next to the commode, Jason designed a three piece sliding shower door to give me more room to get in and out. It is a spectacular addition to the room, stylish as well as practical.  All along the way, he had great design ideas that made the finished room so much more than I had envisioned.  Jason is conscientious, trustworthy and very talented and I can?t say enough good things about him.  He always showed up when he said he would and I was very comfortable leaving him alone in the house. Whenever something came up that wasn?t in the initial contract Jason was very obliging standing the task to the job or repairing the problem.  The whole project was completed in just over 3 weeks.
I waited a long time to do this bathroom remodel because I wasn?t sure how to even get started.  I used the design deal JW Builders offered on Angie?s list and after meeting with Jason, I liked his ideas and I got a good feeling from him and went from there. I?m glad I waited. He was exactly the right person to do the job.  I?m a novice at remodeling and he was patient and helpful all through the project.  Having found someone of JW Builder?s caliber made the experience so much less stressful than I had anticipated. With changes and add-ons to the original estimate, I ended up paying what I expected for a complete bathroom remodel and floors in two rooms.  I absolutely love my new bathroom and floors and I would definitely hire JW Builders again in the future for other projects, and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a good, honest general contractor.

  • It did not go well at all. They broke the dash and there was also glass inside where they took out the old window. They did sloppy work and the glue ran onto the headliner and the plastic trimming. They used an excessive amount of glue and it looks like an obvious  repair. There is a huge glob of goo on the headliner and it got on the hood as well. I complained to them about this and the lady said they do not need to clean up my truck or do anything about it. I would never use them again.

  • This is the third time we've used Greg Peterson's services. The first two times I worked with him every thing went well. The last time I worked with him for the bulk of the bathroom repairs, I was taken back by the helpers he brought into the house. They would vary from day to day. Some were people I would not normally allow into my house.
Greg put the tile on the walls then took off to check on another job and left the grouting up to one of his day laborers, who was unable to complete the job due to inexperience in fact he walked off the job and left the grout to set where it was on the tile. When the and quot;helperand quot; walked off the grout was on glass/stone tile so it ruined the look we were hoping to have. He was so quick to leave he left the bucket of grout to harden in the bucket where he left it open in the tub.
Greg is very difficult to pin down for work times. He will tell you he will be here Sunday morning....and you may not hear from him for days. He was not very good at returning calls either.
The real kicker was for me was when we went shopping at Menard's to get ready to do my second bathroom. We did this while he was just getting started with the first bathroom. He ordered a shower and base and ordered tile. I also saw at check out that he ordered an item for $299. When I asked him what this was he just said you need this. I was concerned because I did not see the $299 price on anything to do with the shower. After Greg finished up with the first bathroom he said he would contact me when the items came into Menard's and he'd pick them up for me. I waited, and waited, and waited....and heard nothing [which is a blessing] I went to Menard's to pick up the items since I had the receipt to do so. What I found made me loose all trust in Greg Peterson. The item he ordered for $299 that I paid for was for a bathtub. There was no bathtub going into my house. So If I would have left the shower stall for Greg to pick up, he would have also picked up a bathtub that I paid for and questioned him about. Since I picked up the items I returned the tub and other items he over ordered and walked away with almost $400 in my pocket that would not have been there if I left it up to Greg. I will not hire him again.
I paid him for the bathroom on 8/19/14. The special order items were to come into Menard's on 8/30/14. Today is 10/6/14 and I have never heard from him since he took his check and left my house. Nor do I care to hear from him again.
