    H.Q. Asphalt
    we agreed to the price and when they came, instead of filling in several low spots they covered the entire area with about one inch of asphalt. The asphalt covered about a 12 foot by 12 foot area. All this did was cause the water to form puddles in other areas next to the asphalt. When we told them about the problem they said that was going to happen. If that was the case then why didn't they tell us before doing the project. All we wanted was a little asphalt in several low areas. When told about the problem, that there was now more standing water than before they said they would remove the asphalt. Then they decided to walk away from the problem. There was another area where we needed to have about 3 feet of asphalt next to the garage door so water would drain away from the garage. They did that but did not put the asphalt next to a brick wall. Besides it was very rough and not smooth. When we showed them the problem they told us to go to Lowe's and get some sealer to fix the problem. I thought that was why we had them do the job.

    Behrens Restoration Services LLC
    "They came Friday for a consultation and he stated he will spray on the sealer I already had. They came and did some sealing of the expansion joints on my driveway. I did not see him physically spray the sealer. He also had to clean out the old caulk from the edges of my driveway. I noticed on Sunday morning that there was a crack on my driveway. They were using some sort of drill to clean out the old caulk. Since he put the sealer on Saturday there should have been a beading up of the sealant. There was no beading up on the driveway. I spread some on the driveway using a paint brush to see if that caused the sealant to bead up. It did not, so I went back to where I purchased the product and have them checking to see if the material is a bad batch of sealant. I am waiting to hear back from Logan Contracting before I make any accusations about the service provider who applied the sealant." regarding experience with Behrens Restoration Services LLC, no reviews;

    I called and talked to them a couple times, asking for somebody to come give us a bid for a parking lot repaving. Never heard back from them. No salesman. No bid. No explanation. No nothing. I guess they're not interested in my business.

    Brown's Seal Coat
    Mr Brown gave us a verbal estimate.   He put nothing in writing.  Did not measure anything.  He came out on a Tuesday wanted to do the job the next day.   We were expecting movers anytime between Wednesday and Friday so we wanted to put it off until the next week.   Since we had that hail storm on April 9, 2013 the company that was coming to do the roof brought the shingles by today [Saturday] They said they would do the roof on Tuesday.   The Gutter Truck asked if we could postpone the driveway for a day or two so there would be no damage to our newly sealed driveway.   I liked that idea; I'd hate to see the newly fixed driveway damaged on the second day.   Mr. Brown had said he would call on Sunday to confirm.  While The Gutter Truck was putting the shingles on the house I called Mr. Brown to let him know we'd like to postpone the work.   I thought I was being courteous by giving him as much advance notice as I could.   When I spoke with him and told him the situation he became very gruff and abrupt and said he was not going to do our driveway.   He told me he didn't want to play that game where we keep changing the date of service on him.   I found it very strange when he was so pushy to get a date even sooner than what were ready for.    All in all; I'm glad this happened if you are that unprofessional before the job is done, I'd hate to deal with him if we had any issues with his work.

    HQ Asphalt
    I spoke with Jerry at HQ Asphalt regarding my driveway. Since I have a longer drive, I had trouble finding a business that would provide residential asphalting in town. He was very professional and was able to estimate my drive within a few business days. He was available within a week of estimate and his team was done in one day. He asphalted the whole length of my 150 foot driveway one car width with adding a double car width at the top of the drive for approximately two car lengths. The work was exactly as I expected, done well and efficiently. I was instructed to not park on it for at least 24 hours and '48 hours would be better with the heat'. It has since withstood the hot summer well with expectations of asphalt. Jerry called a few weeks later to check on work/drive and offered that he would come back in November before the winter to seal the drive. Great work.
