Chimney Cap Repair reviews in Omaha

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Our driveway is steep and narrow, it was no easy task for Cory and his crew.  They arrived as promised, cleaned up all debris throughly (and there was plenty!) When weather or circumstances delayed their progress, Cory always communicated with us.  We do Highly recommend these respectful, hard working men to preserve, protect and beautify your home.  A + service!

  • Janie and her crew were friendly, efficient and professional--and we were happy with what they charged for the job they did. Janie worked solo on a very high and steep roof without scaffolding. She went up by ladder, tied herself on to the chimney, and created "eagles nests" on the roof around the chimney on which to do her tuckpointing work. We had a local bat specialist (one reason for having the work done on the chimney was to try to stop bats from coming in the house) go up after she had done the tuckpointing, and he commented on what a good joy she had done. When the new chimney cap came in, Jamie safely installed it and completed the job. We are more than pleased with the work that Alpine Chimney Sweep did for us and with what they charged us. It was both a pleasant and professional working relationship. We highly recommend Janie Rickord and Alpine Chimney Sweep Inc.

  • I selected Keystone based on reviews on Angie's list.  Of three estimates I received, Keystone Masonry fell in the middle.  The first mortar Mark Rabuck used on the wing wall was the wrong color so I had him redo it.  He  made a mess leaving mortar residue all over the brick  and did the same when he repaired the chimney.  I did not say anything because I assumed it would wash off.  My mistake!

Then, in May of 2015 (18 months later) the flowerbed started falling apart and I called and explained what the problem was.  After a series of excuses on his failure to come out and look at my flowerbed, Mark Rabuck finally sent me an e-mail saying the warrantee was only one year and I would have to pay for any work he did.  This was not stated anywhere on the paper work or  between us personally.  Being concerned about the quality of work, I sent my son up on the roof to check the chimney cap and find out he did not repour it as stated on the invoice but just filled in the problem areas with synthetic cement.

At this point, I took Mark Rabuck and Keystone Masonry to small claims court in August and won judgment.  Mark took me back to court and I won again on October 15.  Mark Rabuck has yet to pay me the judgment amount and has not replied to two e-mails inquiring  what he intents to do.

If you would like to see pictures of the job he did contact me at and I will  send you pictures.

  • Janie and Ryan came to my home promptly at 8:30 to service our woodstove.  Janie made sure to remove her shoes before she entered my home.  I heard her tell Ryan, to be sure to treat each client's home as if it were his mothers home.  They asked what issues we were having with our stove and immediately set to work.  Janie removed the pipe from the woodstove and took it outside to clean it.  They then went about cleaning the chimney.  Plastic had been laid down to catch any soot or creosote.  Once that had been completed they went to work on the woodstove, thoroughly cleaning our stove and even cleaning the glass panels.  Once the stove was put back together, Janie gave me some tips on keeping the gaskets around the door and windows in shape.  Janie and Ryan were courteous and professional.   She also entered information about our woodstove, make and model into the computer system, in case we need parts some time in the future.  All the information will be right there for her to access.  More than pleased with the service that Alpine offered.  Definitely will use them again and again.  Thanks Janie and Ryan!

  • I accepted the quote and attempted to have the vendor schedule the job.  Vendor made a number of promises on dates of service that weren't kept.  I gave up on this vendor and opted to go with another one.

  • The Alpine team was awesome. They examined the fireplace and determined the fireplace and chimney was in good working condition and gave me several items to check when we use the fireplace I.E. Firewood needs to be split and 2 years dry; or does the smoke build in room when the high efficiency furnace kicks on. When they were here I also asked if they fixed gas values on fireplaces; I had a second fireplace that we hadn't been able to use because the value would not move. They immediately took a look and discovered that it was only dirty. When they left I had a working gas fireplace and corrective actions to use when using the wood burning fireplace. I would highly recommend them, especially if you want to understand the environments that effects the proper use of a fireplace.

  • Very thorough inspection and sympathy for my loss. I was so relieved to know about the past fire and grateful that I hadn't used the fireplace and caused another one. I felt lucky that I called Alpine Chimney Sweep and appreciated the service. I was advised that they could work with my insurance company to let them know that they had condemned my chimney. Instead of getting a new fireplace, I am considering replacing the chimney pipes and cap. I'm planning to use Alpine Chimney Sweep for this. I highly recommend them.

  • I called requesting an understanding of the services they provided and left detailed information for the services I was looking to receive.  I left my address and home and mobile phone information with a request to call me back.  They never did.

  • Ryan came out and gave me an estimate with several options to choose from. I liked that he had a very easy going and relaxed personality. The work was done very well, and he coordinated with my roofers to get the job do. Would definately do business with again.

  • They completed the work very quickly, and the technician told me some work that needed to be done in the future, but not right at that time. They were all very good to work with and I'd recommend them!
