    D & J Farley Construction
Over a period of 4 years, D & J Farley Construction has repaired and revitalized my 100+ year old home that was in poor shape when I purchased it. Everything was done to the highest standard and the costs were reasonable for each job. All jobs were completed in a timely manner. I will continue to use their services as additional work is needed. The next projects will be a remodel of an additional bathroom, and renovating a study.

    Premier Exteriors
Our experience with Premier was excellent. The house, outbuilding & fence were trashed by the storm 6/3/14. Randy was on the job from the 1st phone call. Dealing with the insurance, mortgage company, and always willing to make the not so short drive out here to handle things with all the workers.I was able to trust all was being taken care of. Whenever we had questions/concerns someone was always on it right away. Our home is even more beautiful now than it was before the storm. I couldn't be happier!

    Outback Fence & Stain
He does great work. We are a charity and he gave us a great discount. He did a wonderful job, and he was here on time and he’s just really good. He put up a 6 feet high fence, gave us the best price, and did it on time when he said he would do it. The quality in their work really stood out and the fact that the fence was perfect that I asked for. We have rescue dogs nailed to the fence and it was imperative that this fence is escape proof. He nailed it to the ground and because of this the dogs are not getting out of here. I highly recommend Outback fencing and I would use them in the future.

    Central Home Construction
Mike Duester (of Central Home Construction) built the home we purchased in 2007.  Immediately after we purchased our home, we had him install a privacy fence for the house and then a year later we had him finish our basement.  Any issue we have EVER had related to home improvements we call Mike to come and help fix it.  He is very reasonably priced, he is honest, incredibly hard working, punctual and backs up his work.  The craftsmanship of his work is wonderful and our home is a joy to live in.  He worked with us on a variety of different pricing options for finishing our basement to help keep it as cost effective as possible for us and he told us all the specific materials we would need so we could cut down on costs by ordering and picking up our materials ourselves.  He is so wonderful, that he has become a close family friend and is the FIRST person we call for any housing related issue because we know he will give us his honest opinion, even if it is a referral to a specialist in electrical work or plumbing.  We trust him 100% and have always recommended him to anyone who is looking for a great contractor or general handyman.  We also have two kids and when someone is working in your home, that can sometimes be a concern if you do not know them well.  The kids always wanted to watch him work on the basement and he let them, explained what he was doing and why to them, and answered all their questions, they always loved when Mike would come over!  This is a man I would have no problem handing my keys to and allowing to do work in my home while I am not there, he is that trustworthy and honest!  I give Mike and Central Home Construction my HIGHEST possible recommendation!

    Chuck MacLean Homestead Fence
It went great.  Chuck gave me a very detailed estimate using a spread that listed the materials he would need down to the bolt, and then the cost of his labor.  I called Menard's in Lincoln and ordered all the materials needed and paid for them.  For $75, Chuck picked them up and brought them to Table Rock, which is 70 miles away.  He also went to two other businesses in Lincoln to pick up a few things that Menard's did not carry, which he did not charge extra for. Bottom line -- he made not a penny on the materials. Chuck then installed the fences. His fee was simple.  $5.50 a foot to install the fence and $15 for installation of each gate.  I think there was a small fee for mileage as well; he lives in Wymore, which is a bit of a distance. At $5.50 a foot, he was a smidge higher than HomeAdvisor said was the going rate. However, overall, Chuck's estimate was substantially lower than the only other fence company that would come to me to give an estimate. The other company did not break out their costs, just gave me the bottom line cost, so I don't know where the difference was.  Maybe their fee was the same or more, or maybe they were making money off the materials, or charging more mileage for coming the 70 miles from Lincoln, I don't know.  He brought a small bobcat that he used to get started.  Some of the fence line was pretty uneven and he leveled it out.  He dug most of the posts by hand.  He spent time getting our gates to be just right -- took a lot of pride in that, which was well deserved.  Ever tried dealing with a crummy gate in a chain link fence? Ye. ou'll know this was an important point.  He ran lines tight to where the fence and posts would be and had me come confirm things were good before he started digging.  He worked with a level, and was otherwise meticulous.  He said that's why he likes to charge a flat rate for installation, so he can take the time to do the job right without worrying about it.  The project took longer than expected, but we had no deadline.  He said he can't put the long hours in that he used to when he was younger, so came on multiple days.  We had quite a bit of rain, which delayed things in the course of the project so the days were not always consecutive.  But he worked steadily and carefully.  There was an issue with a sidewalk with a ramp and the swinging of a gate but he came up with an elegant solution.  I add that he is a very nice, gentle soul!  I learned a few things when we chatted after the job was done.  He says he has been doing fences for 18 years; his wife helped him, but died a few years ago.  Before that he spent about 30 years working for the Department of Agriculture, including as a conservation agent.  His kids have turned out well, it seems, one being a retired Lt. Colonel in the Airforce, another a lawyer, another -- don't remember...  Anyway, he is a man who is happy with his life and proud of his work.  We are VERY happy with our new fences, and it was a pleasure knowing Chuck.  I had called three people for references before hiring him and they gave glowing reports.  I have to add mine.

    VanPelt Fencing
I put down $3000.00 on a 10,000.00 fence project. They ordered the wrong size and I was told that is what I ordered and it wasn't I had the order and showed it to them, they supposedly reordered the fence and I requested to see it prior to getting it installed. I was told I did not need to see it as it was correct. I couldn't get an install date, and this went on for over 3 years. I asked for my down payment back and was told they couldn't do that as they had t the fence and couldn't return it. I kept requesting my money to be returned and was told they had to sell the fence before I could get my money back. This was denied again after I was told he had to sell the fence for a loss. Truly a case of service not provided. I was just out $3,000.00
