    Protek Painting & Roofing
I worked with Kevin to pick out new colors for the trim and siding and I couldn't be happier with the results. Protek replaced several trim boards that had been gnawed on by squirrels on the front gables of the house and replaced siding and trim on the back of the house that had been damaged by the previous owners' dogs. The crew was very professional, cleaned up after themselves very thoroughly, and completed the job very nicely in two days. I've recommended Protek to friends and family since they completed my project.

We moved to Alma NE in October. We had contacted James Bowen to give us an estimate on a remodel of the home we purchased. We wanted to put in a new front door, remove 2 bedrooms walls which also involved removal of a supporting wall. We were removing the 2 bedrooms so that we could have a open floor plan that worked with kitchen. The laundry room was behind the kitchen which we needed moved to the current front room.  James looked over the supporting wall to make sure that he could remove the wall and told us that he would probably have to brace the wall with a beam which would appear in the middle of the rooms.  James then explained that he would not be able to start the remodel until after Christmas. He also stated that he would understand if we went with another contractor because of the time frame, but he was not going to start our project and then leave us hanging while he finished his other projects.  I was very impressed with him for being so up front and honest stating the fact he could not start until after Christmas as we have had other contactors start and maybe 6 months later they would come and finish the project after you have called them several times. James and his helper showed up every day until the project was finished. James would continue to ask us questions during the process to make sure he was following our request and explaining the procedure it would take. James would also make suggestions that could save us money if the procedure was a little different than what we wanted.   What should have taken 6 to 8 weeks to complete, James completed in 4 1/2 weeks! WOW! He worked late in the day to finish a project before going home and there were times he worked on Saturdays in order to finish then job quicker. GREAT person to deal with!

Bear of a project!  Hardware on doors is quite dated, hard to find replacement parts, everything is hard to get to and crammed in small spaces but he got the door fixed!

    Aten Construction
They started with careful planning and inspected everything so they did it right the first time. I was given a copy of the plans and even from there it didn't seem possible to create this bar from what they had to work with. Initially progress wasn't apparent due to all the work done in the walls. However, the finished product made this stand out with the additional outlets and light switches to turn lights on that illuminated the bar to help show the attention to detail. Then wood work started and each day was a new surprise. While they worked, I asked a lot of questions which they had no problem answering and didn't bother them. With this, it helped me to appreciate the detail that was going into the work. Honestly, they cared more about this project than I did and this helped to realize the potential of this project. At one point while talking with them I joked with them about doing body shots. The next time I talk with them they had increased the durability so it could be done. The wood was stained which gives it more of an exotic wood grain look instead of the factory, cookie cutter work of most counters. It turned out not to be just another bar in a basement but an elegant addition to the living area. The guys of Aten Construction are very professional, trustworthy, and passionate about their work. After seeing what they have done, all other remodels that I have seen just come up short. If you really care about what is being done with your construction these guys are the only ones that should be considered and will definitely be used again in future improvements on my home.

I had Chuck do a similar job last year, and you can't even see where the repair was made from the ground. All tasks were completed in a timely fashion, at a very reasonable price. Good skills with facia, sub-facia, framing and trim.I hope to use him on a much larger project very soon!!

    Worthey's Construction
The job was bid at $3000.00 for the electric and $4000.00 for the livingroom and was to be done in 2 weeks. The job ran over by 2 days caused by not knowing that there was 2 more walls behind the existing wall. You can never tell what you have with a 100 year old house. Mr. Worthey and his crew worked professionally and quickly to complete this job. I like to be a part of the process so Mr. Worthey gave me a list of the materials he would need and I went to the stores of my choosing to purchase the materials. Because I purchased all the matieral Mr. Worthey did not ask for any payment until the job is completed to my satisfaction. He reminds me of Mike Holmes and takes great pride in his work. The electric work was done with little to no interruption to my life in the house. My husband and I have already asked Mr. Worthey for a bid on a new bathroom for next year. I know he is trust worthy and will complete all aspects of a project on time and with great care.

We haven't done it yet because it's so expensive.  They were very professional and seemed very knowledgeable.

The experience was far beyond what I'd hope for.  To take hundreds of pieces cabinetry with nothings more than a list of what pieces went in each room, graphics of where the big cabinet pieces went and throw in bunches of trim boards for each room and the rooms cabinets looking like fine woodwork when done was amazing!  He was very creative and good at solving problems that popped up.  The semi-custom cabinet provider who has sold cabinet for years thought he fee was very reasonable.  I did get him to reduce his start up fee of 1/2 the project fee to $1000 until he had worked a couple days so I could make sure his skills was up to the job's level.
