    I needed new furnace and a/c. The installation went very smooth. I am writing this review after using the furnace over 4 1/2 months. Everything runs perfect. My heating bills seem to have gone done even though I had high efficiency before. If it matters to anyone I had the 96% efficiency with 2 stage. I wouldn't change anything after running it almost 5 months. The best part of the process was the honesty and low pressure sales presentation. I am also impressed with the service department. Before I had this furnace and a/c I had another Trane installed by another company that they serviced about 2 or 3 years. They check some items the other company didn't (e.g. carbon monoxide) and if there is a problem they have you look at the defective parts or look at meter readings. They don't just tell you something needs replacing.

    I rarely bother to write reviews because I'm rarely very impressed or overly disappointed. My experience with River City Heating and Cooling is a definite exception! Outside of getting everything for free, I couldn't be happier. River City didn't give me the lowest bid but they did give me the highest comfort level right from the get go. Jeff Ladwig really knows his stuff and made the whole process incredibly simple. He explained and explained and wasn't bothered by any of my questions. I never once felt like he was trying to oversell me and I was pleasantly surprised when he actually talked me out of wasting a few hundred dollars on doing something completely unnecessary that other companies convinced me needed to be done. Jeff was at the house when Brian and Jose arrived to rip out the old and install the new. Brian and Jose were very polite and professional and didn't seem bothered at all when I wanted to sneak a peek at what was going on or ask the occasional dumb question that they probably get asked on every single install. The old stuff was ripped out and taken away and the new Trane stuff was installed in what I think was only about six hours! Everything was left nice and clean and I was shown how all the new stuff worked including the sweet new wi-fi thermostat. I highly recommend paying the extra few bucks for that! Jeff set up a time to come back out a couple days later to do a final inspection and go over everything with me again. He also explained the annual maintenance plan (no brainer, get it!). The new Trane units are so incredibly quiet compared to the old stuff which was a big deal for us. And the temperature in the house is much, much more consistent from room to room and even floor to floor. I'm more than glad I went with River City. I can't imagine ever calling anyone else for anything HVAC related. Every single person I dealt with from initial call to final inspection was polite, professional, responsive, and a pleasure to speak with. Each is an asset to the company as far as I'm concerned. River City does things right!

    Steve Came out and talked with us about the type of unit we needed. We went with the 16 seer unit. He told us about the OPPD rebate which we received. We also noted a $50 a month savings in our OPPD bill. SOS was very prompt and the technicians were courteous and clean. Great Job SOS Thank You. I will always use SOS for all of my HVAC needs.     The install team arrived on time and performed their tasks in an efficient and friendly manner leaving no mess behind. There were 2 teams there at the same time; one doing the A/C and the other team doing the furnace. They made sure that we understood how everything worked and exactly what we needed to do to use it all efficiently. They obtained all permits for us so we didn't need to bother with all that. We were able to use both the furnace and A/C within the next few days and they both worked as advertised. The final inspection showed everything working exactly as it should. We couldn't be happier with our new systems and all the services we received. We have many thanks for all those on the River City teams that made this happen. We were treated like we were the only customers they had, but knew we were only one of many. We will continue to use River City going forward as we are very happy with them. p.s. Didn't add the cost of services since it'd be totally contingent upon what system you chose.

    They came out and underbid their competition significantly. They did basically same day work.  I don't think they were the cheapest around but I thought they did a good job and they did it quickly which was of interest because it was hot. I got 2 other quotes and the other guys were more expensive. They were excellent on responsiveness. I wanted it replaced that day so they called a guy in that was already on overtime and he did it that day. They were very responsive. They did a good job.

    Called owner after hours, paid an after hours fee, but I think it was more than fair for the quick service, and it was Saturday so I didn't want to wait until Monday. The technician was here in an hour and a half, quick fix thank goodness! He had the part on hand and we were in bed with cool air by 10:30!! Very friendly service, even after hours. We will definitely go with them when it is time to replace.

    Our technician, Brian, was fantastic. Very helpful and professional. It happened to be the most expensive, single part on the unit so I wasn't thrilled about the price of the part. But once he showed me the board, I understood. I think the thing I liked the most was that I didn't get any salesmanship about trying to upgrade my whole unit. That's what you get from all those other big name companies in the area. I would definitely use Controlled Comfort again and I have already referred a friend to them.

    My A/C went out on June 30th and my warranty's provider could not get to me until July 7th. I called Wichita on July 3rd and they came out within 3 hours, right on time as promised. The service rep, very professional and service-focused, diagnosed and took care of our problem and we had cool air again. I did not want to spend the July 4th holiday without A/C. Although the repair was not covered by my warranty company, it was worth paying out of pocket for my family's comfort. Thank you Wichita for your quick response.

    Last spring, when we had our air conditioner checked, a problem was found where the unit was slowly leaking Freon. We decided to replace the unit instead of fixing it. Long story short, everything went well except for the experience with the sales person. She was all over it in making the sale but afterward it seemed like we didn't exist. There was a problem in getting receipts emailed to me. I simply wasn't getting them. When I asked her about this, she stated that they are automatically sent so I should have gotten one. I had to call her twice to get the receipt with the correct dollar amount and she was irritated that I called, both times. What I found out later from a tech when I asked the same thing was - the email address had been entered incorrectly. You'd think this would have been checked when I initially stated that I was not getting email but it never was. Overall, Aire Serve has top notch techs and service is outstanding. The experience with the sales person really irritated me however especially when I found out what the problem was, a year later. It still irritates me to this day. The sales experience led me to believe that once I bought the unit, the sales person dropped me like a hot rock and from that point on, I was someone else's problem. I'll keep dealing with Aire Serve in the future as long as I can deal with someone else in the event something needs to be purchased in the future.

    When the technician showed up I had already started my furnace so I could not duplicate the issue. He came and looked at my furnace and said sorry everything is working nothing I could do. I explained to him what was going on and what it did but didn't know what to do. So he left within about 15 minutes. I called a Service One technician 2 days later with the same problem and situation. He showed up, furnace was running and I explained to him what was going on and he knew right away what was going on. He said that my pilot light igniter was dirty. He cleaned it off and put it back together and I haven't had any issues with my furnace since then and he was there about 10 minutes longer than the River City Heating and Cooling guy.
