    Altru
Altru Hospital is good. The staff is friendly and courteous. If you have any problem, they'll adjust it for you. They were pretty good, they tried to work around to fit in my schedule. They're pretty good with the billing.

The surgery went very well. It was an unusual tear but it didn't phase him. I think he is very competent, easy to talk to and explains what is going to happen. He is open to questions. I felt comfortable the first time I saw him.

    Wynkoop, Dr. Walker
I went to Dr. Wynkoop because he was the only orthopedic doctor in a tri-state area that wasn't booked out weeks in advanced.....that should have been my first red flag.  Staff and nurse for this physician were WONDERFUL, it was only the physician himself who provided sub-standard care.  After trying to explain the problem to my knee (with several inturruptions by the doctor), it seemed he knew EXACTLY what was wrong, and never let me get a word in edgewise.  His answer was that I need to be more "fit" (I admit to being 30 pounds over my ideal weight) and my knee wouldn't hurt.  When explaining that any form of impact exercise caused pain, his response was that many athletes work through pain and I should be able to also.  But since he must have needed the extra cash, he decided to bully me into getting a synvisc injection, since that would help.....HA  HA!  I have never encountered a physician so full of himself and ignorant towards his patients in my life (and I am a registered nurse who has worked with some doozies in my day)!!
