    Boston's Plumbing & Heating
Mark Repaired and Straightened my main water line and shut off valves after having another company work on them. I like many home owners can be particular as our home is probably the largest investment we make. To say Boston's Plumbing & Heating was a pleasure to deal with would be an understatement! Mark provided superior work for what I thought was a very reasonable price. I have definitely found my Plumber in them and would not hesitate to use Boston's Plumbing & Heating again. Did I mention they were always right on time and guarantee their work? I know this as a fitting installed was cracked and had a very slow drip, called them up and Mark was more than happy to come back over and replace it free of charge. I tried to tip for this great service but Mark refused telling me "I can't take that we guarantee our work" Wow!!! Try to find a nicer, more professional and on time plumber, I dare you or just skip the frustration and start with them to begin with. Thank You Mark and Boston's Plumbing, should I need work done in the future we'll be talking.

    Minot Plumbing & Heating
Corey came by from Minot Plumbing & Heating Co. We could see the leaking valve, but it was way beyond my skill set to repair it. He came by (as scheduled) and fixed it. I've hired them before (for the last 8 years). They have fixed 2 toilets, replaced the kitchen sink, replaced a blocked main waste pipe, replaced a water heater, and now replaced this broken valve under the kitchen sink. They are the only people I hire for plumbing jobs. Very professional.

    Innovative Basement Systems
Someone came months earlier and looked around. He told us what would need to be done. We sat down and went over the cost for the company to do what was necessary as well as tried to come up with a rough estimate of what the plumbing and electrical bills would be so that I had a rough estimate of how much this project would cost. He mentioned potentially having to replace 1 or 2 tiles (ceramic grout tile) around where the sump pump would be and I said that was fine. He failed to mention WHATSOEVER that the crew would need to completely rip up the tile around the walls (about 2 feet all around). Not only were the tiles removed - they weren't removed on the cut. They were just chopped up jagged so that half a tile was left as well as cement that was completely rough and jagged. In order to fix this, a flooring crew would need to cut all the peices correctly and sand all the cement down before it could even be re-tiled. None of this was brought up in our initial costs. It will cost thousands of dollars more than estimated due to the floor and I was given no warning for this. By the time I knew it was too late and there was no going back. It was deceiving and costs us way more than we can afford. The work was done just fine, the crew was professional and polite. But the estimator was deceiving and I would never trust them with a job if there was another option.

    Boston's Plumbing & Heating

I have been using Boston Plumbing for the past couple of years. I  needed several projects taken care of,  and was at my wits end with other companies outrageous bids and downright dishonesty. They provide exceptional service and are extremely reliable. The prices are very reasonable. Thank you Boston Plumbing!

The contractor himself and the helper that came out had a fair amount of general knowledge of home improvement.  He was kind of jack of all trades.  My experience with him was good.  They were eager to work around my schedule for the most part.  They wanted to get the job done right.  They paid attention to detail.  Most of the work was through our insurance company and they paid for it.

    Ralph's Plumbing & Heating Inc
Ralph's plumbing has speedy service and very friendly and professional staff. We called and someone was able to come out the very next day. Before they arrived we received a courtesy call to make sure someone was home before they showed up. We ended up not needing any work done except a bathroom drain replaced in which they supplied the drain we couldn't find in stores ourselves. I do think they are a bit pricey for labor charges ($100+ to attach hardware in bathtub) but they came highly recommended.

    Minot Plumbing & Heating
The plumber who was sent out was very punctual, and covered his boots with booties to prevent mud from getting on our carpet. The Positive comments end there :) He preceded to the basement where he attempted to use a drain snake to unclog the tub. After about 15 minutes of trying, he informed me he was unable to unclog it and he thought the problem was that the sink drain pipe was too small. We live in a very old house, but most of the plumbing has been redone in the last decade, so I was surprised by his solution. He said he needed to come back when he had more time (he said about a half a day) and tear out all of the galvanized pipes in the wall then replace them with pvc that's 1/4 inch bigger than they currently are. He quoted me $600-$700 for this job!!! Keep in mind, my call was for a clogged drain! That's got to be the simplest plumbing issue ever! He called into the shop and rescheduled a time to come back out the following Monday. After he left, I spoke to my husband (who you can imagine was very upset about this) and we decided to get a second opinion from another local plumbing company we have heard good things about (please see other review:). What's more frustrating is this is the THIRD time they have done this to us. The last time, they insisted the entire main drain line to our house needed to be replaced and it was going to take an entire day and rack up a bill of over $1200!!! Another plumbing company came in and fixed the problem in less than an hour. While I understand the importance of doing things properly (which often costs more), I am convinced that it is Minot Plumbing and Heating's practice to over quote things and do completely unnecessary work to make a grossly high amount of money on their jobs. We all know the economy here in Minot and how many companies are taking advantage of it. To me, it's evident this is one of those companies. I feel like they have no concern for people's hard-earned money. I am so disappointed. AND, despite the fact that the plumber accomplished nothing and actually made matters worse by dropping a screw down the drain (requiring me to purchase a new over-flow cover), I'm sure I will be receiving a bill in the mail soon requesting me to pay for what turned out to be a huge waste of time and a giant inconvenience for our whole family.
UPDATE: The plumber who came out to our house returned (unannounced) today because he thought he left his drill in our son's closet. This time, he did not cover his boots, but took them off inside our house at the door instead. BUT, only after he left muddy boot prints all over the rug at our back door. I don't think the mud will wash out, I will probably just have to replace the rug. SO, this experience has ended up costing us the charge they will send us, the new over-flow cover, and now a new rug for the back door...sigh.

    Ralph's Plumbing & Heating Inc
This is the 3rd time we've used Ralphs plumbing and have been overly pleased every time. This time Rusty was sent to our home. He called to give me plenty of time to be home and ready for him to come over. When he got here, he removed his shoes at the door and preceded to the basement where our plugged drain was. After trying to use his drain tool for a few minutes, he realized it was a drum trap (not sure what that is:). He said he his auger wouldn't work but he thought he could fix it with something else. He fixed it in about 5 minutes along with a slow draining sink that I hadn't even included when I called in. He cleaned up after he was done and all in all was here for about 30 minutes.

He's a general contractor. He does really great work and does a lot of different things. He always gives us the bottom line. He helped us a lot with getting our house sold because of the work he did to our home. His prices are reasonable.

We called our apartment manager and were told that we would have to pay since it was our fault and the toilet would have to be removed in order to remove the car. He gave us the number to Ralph's Plumbing, we called and the lady who answered was very polite and sent someone out the next day (we called on a Sunday.) The guy came out and had our bathroom full functional within one hour, and for parts and labor we were only charged $74.00 we were very satisfied!
