  • Cameron told us that this roof would last a lifetime. Done in 2011. Started leaking weeks later. I have run in to his mother 3 times, gave her my phone number, with no response. Very unprofessional. The amount of damage to our ceilings and walls is massive. Paid 14k, and worse than our old roof. Getting worse day by day, will call again tomorrow, if no response I will seek legal counsel.

  • The family and I were relocating to North Dakota for my job. Before relocating to North Dakota, I spoke with a co-worker of mine who lived in the area and asked him about the cost of having a home built being that he had lived in the area for some years. He advised me that the cost to have a home built was relatively reasonable and that he even had a construction company that I might consider doing the work. I called the company (Snowden Construction LLC) and explained what I was interested in having done. They assured me that they could do what I wanted within my requested time frame with a 6 person crew to keep the cost down.

I flew out to North Dakota six months prior to relocating and meet with the owners of Snowden Construction to view some of their work in person and to show them the blueprints for the house. The meeting went very well and so I employed the company to build mine and my family's home. The construction began in July 2015 and was done a month later. When I flew back to view the completed work, I went through and thoroughly inspected every aspect of the house and was very pleased with the work of Snowden Construction.

  • Snowden construction LLC did exactly what they said they would do ! Loved there quality work and dedication ! Even though my architect screwed up on some measurements, snowden construction had no problem fixing and adjusting things to make it work ! What most impressed me was one contractor that handled all of my needs !!! I didn't have to hire a bunch of different companies because snowden construction did it all ! I would definitely use them again on anyone of my projects they are very honest and very understanding and lenient ! I am a developer and I used snowden construction on commercial and residential jobs ! Nothing to big for them they do a good job!

  • Tollberg uses very cheap materials. They brag about the Pella windows they put in which are horrible. Pella is usually a good brand but Tollberg gets cheap vinyl windows from them. They are hard to open and come off the track all the time. We have crank windows upstairs and the pin falls out of the crank all the time so the cranks fall off. They cannot put bifold closet doors in properly and every single one keeps falling off when you open them plus they were cheap as well. Their taping and texturing job was poor. The laminate wood flooring they put in was the least expensive they could find and was also put in inproperly. It buckled in several spots. They did not finish the counter backsplash and did not come out to finish it even though they received repeated calls to do so. We have replaced the flooring and cabinets since. The cabinets they put in were also bottom of the line and when we took them out we realized most of them were not even screwed into a stud more than once. Our air conditioner did not work when we moved in either because it was wired up wrong. I believe Tollberg has their own electrical contractors which are not good either.

I would not recommend hiring Tollberg for any remodeling jobs or buying any of their homes they have for sale in the Minot area. They use cheap materials and their work is subpar at best.

  • When the gentleman arrived, he looked around the house.  Right away he was rude.  He even went so far as to tell us that no other contractor in Minot would touch what we were needed.

  • Hight's own personel were very good at what the did but the subcontractors they hired could not seem to do the job correctly the first time and were required to come back several times to fix their mistakes, some of which were never completely fixed.

  • I was involved with FEMA and SBA trying to secure low interest federal disaster financing due to flooding and Red Door Homes was very patient with me during that process.  They were very thorough and it was important to them that my wife and I were involved during the building process (framing, drywall, final walk through).  The also provide a 1 year home warranty and they honored every item I brought to their attention (all were very minor).  I would do business with them again.

  • The roof in my entryway started leaking around the begining of May 2013.  The extent of the leak was approximately 80 cups of water during the spring rain.  I called Mindt Construction.  They sent Jeff and crew to my house while it was still raining to evaluate where the water could be coming from.  Jeff informed me that a metal "kick out" piece was needed where my roof met up with my siding.  The rain was coming in right under my siding, sliding into my entryway and finding an exit through my entryway light.  I had to send the roof shingle and siding selection from the original construction to Jeff so they could complete the repair.  Lucky for me I had that information on hand.  I was able to get the required "kick out" within a week of Mindt Construction evaluating my roof.  Additionally, Jeff and crew installed other kick outs where needed and thoroughly inspected the installation and sheetrock to ensure there was no further damage or mold.  I have already recommended Mindt construction to some co-workers and Jeff will be coming by our house again for another job next week!

  • Tony was hired us a sub contractor for his customer. We spent $1,473.85 in labor, $800+ in parts, and when we presented him with a Quoted $2,200.00 bill he ignored it. AFTER 90 days, we finally got a hold of him. He argued us down to $1,615.51. He said he couldn't present a bill for $2,200 to his customer. Also he said the "Neighbors" of the customer told him that we were not there for the total ammount of hours we billed him for.We agreed to lower the bill because we wanted to get the Invoice OFF our books.
Then he said he wasn't responsible for the bill at all! That his customer needed to pay us. Even though Tony ordered the work and all the billing infomation was for him, and he was the one to haggle us down. Essentially, he argued this bill down for nothing.
When I finally got ahold of the customer, I explained that this bill was overdue and I apologized for the fact that Tony never presented the bill to the customer. The customer said he said verbatim "Tony always has issues he is difficult to deal with."I simply told the customer that this bill was seriously over due, and that we needed to be paid.
Between the labor, parts and time spent running down this payment we lost money doing this job for him.

  • Mark, Dan, and Alex are punctual, hard working, and, most importantly, extremely attentive to the details.  They don't move on to the next task until everything is just right.  They framed my new house, installed windows and doors, did siding, and will return to help me with the finishing details inside.
