    I recently had superior auto install a block heater in my van but because they couldn't find a block heater that fit my van they instead installed a 100W silicone heating pad which was totally inadequate for the weather we experience here. the block heater they/I wanted to install was a 600 watt block heater so clearly the 100w silicone pad which is on the outside of the oil pan wouldn't be adequate. I didn't find out they had installed a part that I hadn't asked for until after I called to let them know that the part wasn't adequate for the weather. When I told Mike that I didn't ask to have that part installed he insisted that it was a block heater over and over and also stated that the box says it's a block heater when infact the box does not call it a block heater it calls it a silicone heating pad. Mike was extremely rude to me on the phone and we ended up deciding to have them install a larger wattage heating pad. when they installed the new pad they upcharged me 51 dollars for a part that I could have bought myself and would have installed myself had they called me when they couldn't install the block heater that we had originally discussed. In short I would steer clear of this place they will just try to argue with you if they do something wrong and possibly install a part you never asked for.

    Bullet Transmission
    Had a transmission rebuilt(took 2 weeks, pretty quick considering parts had to be ordered). The transmission began to act faulty again within 1 month of rebuild(not good). Brought vehicle back since rebuild was gauranteed for 18mos(Good). Vehicle remained at the shop for over a month the 2nd time(dissapointing) . Ultimately they were able to trouble shoot and figure out what was wrong and vehicle has been trouble free for 4-5 mos sofar(HAPPY).

    My trans started acting up while traveling through Grand Forks. I called them after getting the number from my insurance company. This was late in the day, and they took the truck I right away. Then gave me a ride somewhere else to wait for a ride home. They are very nice, and great prices. They found the minor problem, repaired it and DoD NOT try to just rebuild the transmission like was recommended over the phone by their competitor. After the fix, they tested it fully to ensure no other damage. Great business.

    They know like what is going on with Volkswagen like not very many. Like they are the only place in Minot that knows about Volkswagen and they do really good job like getting your car Accu-power. I have not had any issues at all.

    I had previously taken my 2007 Toyota 4runner to the dealer for repair they cleared the codes and sent me on my way after a charge around a $100. This did nothing to help. I took it back and left it with them they called me within 15 minutes of leaving to tell me that my transmission was shot and needed to be replaced at the tune of $4000. I did some research and found out it could be a solenoid in the transmission so I ordered one and replaced it for $85. Unfortunately, I still had the symptoms. I then took it to Ron's to get an estimate on replacement compared to the dealer. He checked it out and found that I hadn't filled the transmission correctly. 
    He could have easily charged me for a transmission for now I was convinced but he didn't. He refilled the fluid and drove it for two days to make sure it didn't have anymore issues. Still runs great.

    Although the wait times are always very long due to how busy the auto department is....the service technicians are very polite and helpful.  It would be helpful if they were able to hire more service techs and have a larger garage but for what they have they do very well.  In addition, the price of their oil change is much cheaper (for full synthetic oil) than any other place around.  Will definitely recommend to others and will continue to use them in the future.   The only other thing that would make the company better would be to carry oil filters for more models (they don't carry a Volvo one so I have to purchase one and bring it with me).

    I wanted to have the sarter replaced, but the technican told me that my particluar model of car has problems with a coating that prevents the current from getting to the starter.  He removed the coating and its been starting ever since. $21 vs. $250

    Went to the dealership for replacement blades (Toyota). I was given MOPAR (dodge) products. I requested Toyota brand parts and was told and quot;Really, they are just wiper bladesand quot;. If I wanted just wiper blades, I could have went to Wal Mart.
    If you want Dodge parts, this is the place. If you want Toyota parts, pre order them so you can get what you want.

    I was a walk in the first time; they told me it would be a 2 hour wait, and the service would take about an hour and a half. I waited over 5 hours just to have them tell me a half hour before closing they wouldn't be able to work on my car that day. I then made an appointment, and they called me the day of, 20 minutes before my appointment to tell me that a walk in from that morning was taking longer than they thought so I would need to reschedule again. Terrible customer service, I don't have time to sit around and wait to see if my car will even be touched that day. Prompt cancellation would be appreciated, and knowing how much time things are going to take.

    Went well, they were the least expensive and told us what the problem actually was, and then fixed it and it worked  They have done other repairs for us and we have always been pleased, and will not hesitate to go back to them.
