Pain Management Treatment reviews in Fargo

    Meritcare Pain Clinic
As an antidote, my wife who has been treated by Mayo in MN for years went to the same Dr. I saw one year after I went to see him, he didn't recognize me....and my wife told him that she has been smoking since she was 18, and he told her that she should try at some time to cut back on her smoking, but went on to offer her a spinal implant device. We left there with lots of colorful brochures and could we have been treated so differently by the same doctor? Anyway she got a second opinion from the specialist she had been seeing at Mayo clinic for years (the doctor she saw there has been practicing for over 30+ years) and he told her that the advice she received at Sanford was grossly negligent and strongly advised her not to go back, but when we don't have any insurance but disability through Medicare our options are limited in Fargo. Sanford essentially has a monopoly here in Fargo. I personally know 2 doctors, a physicians assistant and a pharmacist who resigned from Sanford as a matter of moral conscience, citing principally that the Administrators are telling the doctors how to treat their patients, setting standards for how many people per hour they must see and putting profits ahead of quality and effective health care. They have beautiful and heart wrenching ads on TV all the time, but the reality - just like in politics- is nothing but an empty shell. Personally my wife and I have to move from Fargo just because of the substandard health care provided by Sanford, my heart goes out to those who cannot move to a better location. I could say much more, but I think I have spoken enough in this forum, but I would strongly suggest investigating with an open mind, talk to doctors who use to work there, people who had serious health issues, chronic pain issues, etc ... Before you choose to go to Sanford for any serious medical issue.
