    Kokkeler's Jewelry
Our family had called before the funeral.  The jewelry store had said not to worry about it and that they would work with us afterward.  No straight answers of what options were available were made.  Afterward, when we went in to the store, it was made clear that no returns happen.  Our choices were to hand over the ring or make payment on it.  There seemed to be little record keeping on their end, one sheet in a binder, and luckily we had our receipts with us.   We paid for it and will set it aside, but I would like to warn others about the mechanical treatment we received.

    FIRST NATIONAL PAWN
My overall experience was Terrible. I went to First National Pawn to get a cash loan by pawning my desktop and monitor, for which I was offered $160. My desktop was in "tip top shape:" as it was only 2 month old, no scratches and feet were all present. After business was concluded for pawning my desktop I informed the pawn broker to take care of my system because it was my "baby". I pointed out to him that there was nothing wrong with any of my components and to take extra care of it. He agreed and commented on the excellent condition of my desktop and monitor. I returned to FNP to get my system out of pawn. I was under pressure to get business done and return home, which is 65 miles away, I did not look over my items i had just paid for until I got home to set up my desktop and monitor. While doing such I notice that 2 feet were removed from my tower which made it wobbly. I then noticed that there is a huge scratch along the side of the tower also. I then overlooked the monitor for damage and I observed a deep grooved scratched along the length of the top of the monitor. I also saw that a thin scratch was on the monitor screen. I called FNP to complain about my predicament. I was informed to return my items to FNP for their inspection. I did so the next day. The manager happened to be there that day so I spoke with him. The manager insisted that the damage was present when I brought my system in to be pawned. I informed the manager that I had discussed and pointed out to the pawn broker who serviced me that day of the excellent condition my items were in. The pawn broker concurred with my statements and informed the manager of our conversation the day I pawned my system. The manager immediately tried to dismiss my claim by accusing me of doing the damage when I got home so I could get something out of his business. I replied to the manager that that was ridiculous and asked why would I damage my own property. The manager accused me of trying to get money out of his business as a possible reason. The manager then tried to make amends by offering me half my money back as compensation for the damage but immediately rescinded that offer. The manager then told me that he was "blacklisting" me from his business and that I could not bring anything else to for any reason. He also told me I could not come in to purchase anything either. The manager went a step further and even barred my significant other from doing business there also but he changed his mind about her a month later. So I still have my system with the horrible scratches and missing feet that render my tower lopsided.
