  • What she thought had happened was something got pulled down there. She checked for a lump, she checked to see if it was herniated, she did everything. The swelling and stuff went away. We were really pleased. They got her in within a few hours. We got one of the three Vets we requested. She was very thorough.

  • We had a vet that seemed to be new and we overheard him asking questions regarding the procedure. it is a large animal veterinary clinic versus a small animal veterinary clinic. I didn't feel as comfortable there. We were there a couple of times and it just didn't seem like they were prompt.

  • I was no there physically with the pet but I was there this week to pick up some stuff. I have a dog that had food allergies. She was miserable, I was miserable and was at my wits end. At least the eating is under control and she's not miserable any more. They do take time when I have concerns. Its getting harder to get in. They will not do C-section on my dog if I decide to breed her.

  • Tim is always very glad to see us.  He took time to answer all my questions and did his best to keep my pet calm.  Not easy with a cat!

We have been going to Tim since the late 1970's and have always been impressed with him.

  • We have gotten 2 previous pups from them. One 10 years ago and one 2 years ago and are getting another one in a few weeks. The dogs are great around our kids. They have great temperament and are very health- no allergies. If you are looking for a German Shepherd puppy-they are great and reasonably priced from what I have seen on the internet.

  • It went great, it was our adopted dogs' first visit to them. They do a wonderful job in making sure the vet visit for our pets is always a good one. I have been taking my dogs to Dr. Frenette for over 20 yrs and I would never take them to anyone else. I love all of the staff and my dogs love them too.

  • Female spay went fine, however, vet neglected to read intake notes on taking a stool sample while pet was asleep. They didn't know what I was talking about when they called to let me know she was awake and doing well. Had to take the sample when she was awake - it was positive for bacterial overgrowth.
Male was not mature enough to neuter, however they did not check this (a simple procedure) before they put him under. They gave him all of the anesthetic and pain meds before they checked if his testicles had dropped.
I am disturbed by this lack of thoroughness on both of my pets, and expect a higher quality of care from a veterinarian.

  • we've used Absolute several time in the past year that we discovered them. The staff is so friendly and genuinely care about the dogs. My dog is high energy. He needs lots of exercise and they provide that. We have had trouble in the past with kennels because our dog doesn't not potty in a kennel. He is trained to only go on grass and they accommodate him with no issues. I would never take my dog to another kennel in Bismarck!

  • A friend at work refferred me to a mobile vet in the area to do the job.  The mobile vet suggested "Tannis's Curbside Kutz".  I called Tannis and we set the appointment. She was gentle with the cats and she knew what she was doing.  If your like me and you are affraid to trim the nails on your pet, Tannis is the one who can do the job.  She told me she travels all around the Bismarck area so just give her a call and ask her if she will come to you.
When the nails get longer I will be calling her again for sure.

  • My 12 year old tabby Tommy had been exhibiting classic diabetic symptoms: excessive urination, extreme thirst, rapid weight loss etc. for a while. Then he began to deteriorate so rapidly that I became terrified. It was clear that he was not himself and needed immediate medical intervention. Feeling desperate and being very worried about not having enough money to treat him, I knew that doc's would be the least expensive option and was relieved when they got me in promptly. When I arrived, the clinic was extremely busy, noisy and smelly. It had an overall feeling of chaos, and It seemed the staff was being stretched very thin. However everyone at the clinic was warm, empathetic and willing to help in anyway they could. I would take this any day over a sterile environment with rude staff that overcharges for everything. A few minutes into examining Tommy I was told that instead of a blood test, we could use urinalysis and that this way the test would be free. Otherwise, I was told, blood would have to be sent to Sanford hospital and the test would be very expensive. All of this seemed perfectly reasonable to me and I appreciated his candidness about prices. Doc instructed me how I could then take Tommy home and collect the urine myself. I was very confused. He then said they could keep him there for the day in a kennel and collect the urine instead. I went with this option. A couple of hours later I returned and was given the grave results. Tommy had a kidney infection along with kidney failure. Also , full blown diabetes. He would need insulin injections twice daily for the rest of his life to survive. Antibiotics were prescribed to treat the infection. However, Doc was leaving for vacation and so would refer me to another vet that had reasonable prices. Because of this no insulin was prescribed that day. I left the clinic feeling confused, grief stricken and frightened about what to do next. Somehow I had gotten the impression that Tommy didn't have much longer to live. Overall, there wasn't enough time to address the entire situation which was understandable given that Doc would be on vacation. I think it was responsible of Doc to try and help me find someone to manage the diabetes, and I appreciate the time and effort he did spend doing what he could. I would return again for anything that would be considered and quot;routineand quot; or even for more serious problems. If he hadn't been going on vacation I know they would have handled the diabetes as well. I currently have found another local vet to address Tommy's diabetes and I feel confident in my choice.
