Randy and his crew did an excellent job installing my doors, insulating the attic and putting up new walls and ceiling.  In 2008 I used Randy to do an addition to my house and build the garage which was now damaged by a fire.  I highly recommend Randy Pfaff Construction!

We were given a bid price by RG King construction for an approx price of $50,000. The bid price was grossly underestimated and we are in a costly legal battle to settle this matter. The work on our shop was so unprofessionally done, it would be laughable if it hadn't cost us so much. We were left with a broken window, sloppy work, and not to mention a bill that has yet to be resolved.

Buyer beware--especially women! I had been calling this business all summer long in order to receive an estimate.  When I finally was able to schedule an estimate, the contractor started asking me questions about whether I was single and how much money I had received from my insurance for the repairs.  The price that he quoted me on site skyrocketed the next day to almost double when I spoke to him on the phone.  He then dropped materials at my home without my consent.  When I told him that I did not have the money to afford his outlandish bid, he claimed that he had somehow spent several hours of his time already on the project--although all he did is provide a quote and dropped a few small boxes at my home (which I instructed him to pick up).  I'm waiting to see if I receive a bill from him and plan to turn it in to the state attorney general's office if I receive one.

They told us they would level the lot and seed it. When we called to ask when they were going to do it, they said they had already leveled it.
The interior of the home had a lot of thin spots of paint where you can see through to the texture.
They left all sorts of garbage in the house and never did a cleaning when they were done.
The worst is the shingles on the roof. Shingles were laid too late in the season and they didn't all seal. We called the first year we had issues and they told us to wait for a hot day and they'd adhere. 5 years later, we are awaiting an estimate to address multiple leaks.
Overall, its shoddy, rushed, cheap material, and they are incredibly hard to get a hold of unless your meeting at the bank.

Builder does not care once home is built. There is no quality control and they do not follow through with warranty. You will be blown off if any issues arise. Worksmanship of their subcontractors is poor. Chesp materials used and corners are cut!

Kent was a great person to work with. He answered all our questions quickly and accurately. He also answered the phone calls and when he was not able to, he called back quickly. I would definitely recommend Kent Jacobson to anyone looking to build a home.

He showed up a few minutes late for the proposal part, but our house it a bit hard to find so that didn't bother me. He was friendly and knew what he was talking about, but on a few things we wanted done didn't seem too excited about performing the tasks, like tear down, which would have cost an extra $300, and putting up the lattice work which we ended up having to do ourselves. We chose him because his estimate was about half of what another estimate was. He showed up on time and finished the deck in a timely manner. It was good quality but I was not overly pleased that he used cement blocks to hold the deck posts in place instead of digging down and pour cement. The blocks did take away from the look of the deck and looked less professional, but now that the lattice work is up you can't notice them anymore so it isn't so bad. Our trailer court  was running deal that if you spent more than $4000.00 on the outside of your trailer you would receive 3 months free in lot rent, which comes out to more than $800.00. I told him I needed a receipt but the original receipt he gave me at the end of the build was only for the final payment, it did not include the $2000.00 down payment we had already made, so if we would have turned that in, the trailer park more than likely would have refused it and not given us the lot rent credit. So from the end of August to the end of OCtober I tried to get ahold  of him to get a more accurate receipt that showed the full payments of $3900.00. He did not answer my phone calls, e-mails, or messages until the middle of October. When I told him what I needed he said he would get it in the mail the next day. I still didn't receive for over 2 weeks. Since there was a deadline to turn it in with the trailer park, I ended up having to go to our banks to get our cashed check copies and send them in so we would receive the credit. I can't even count the number of phone calls and messages I left him with no answer or response. Since it was so much money that we were going to get credited by the trailer park, and since I had told him why I needed the receipt, I was rather frustrated that he couldn't simply send me a receipt, and after all the calls being ignored, I realized I wouldn't hire him again, as that whole situation made him look unreliable.

Thanks to James my backyard was transformed from a dreadful blah area to my own private haven. I have received so many compliments about the fence form neighbors walking by and my friends absolutely love to come over and lounge with me in my new backyard sanctuary. I will definitely be calling James again for any work that I need done, he seems to do it all. He as nice, polite, prompt and most importantly affordable!

Scott, the contractor, started out where we thought he was a nice guy and did quality work. Our first mistake was when we questioned to floor plan and Scott’s response was, “oh, you’ll like it” or “wait until it’s done.” If we questioned anything he got upset. He said, “Since you insulted me I’m really going to sock it to you,” and he did when he hit us up with $20,000 of overages on closing day. I would need another 3-4 pages to tell you about our experience. Scott is a stubborn bully, dishonest and won’t stand by his word or contract. He was also very unprofessional, swearing when he was upset. Everything on his website is untrue and dishonest. If I can prevent even one person from enduring this painful experience then I will feel I succeeded.
