    One was free because they gave us two years free oil changes.  They got us in as soon as they could. We were concerned that there was something wrong with the 4 wheel drive on his pick and he took it down because there had been a lot of ice and rain and the guy came over and checked it and said nothing wrong, it was just ice buildup. So they were very nice, professional and they didn’t charge us for it. So I give them an A for honesty and professionalism. I was quite impressed with them.

    I have been going to Lauer for awhile now for auto repair. Very friendly, honest, fairly prompt, polite, and dare I say reasonably priced, compared to any other place in town I've used. There are some real dishonest and shady places doing service in Bismarck and this is not the case with Lauer. Highly recommended.

    This was a fabulous experience. My salesmen David Boehm was amazing. I forgot something in the car I traded in and they dropped it off at my house before I realized it was missing! I test drove many cars, several more then once, but never felt pressured to buy. After I bought the car he spent more then 45 minutes making sure I was comfortable with all the new features and how to manage all the technology. I love my new car.

    Don't go there. They figured I wouldn't know that the date is on the battery (it is) and that I wouldn't know a serpentine belt is supposed to have cracks in it. Tried to sell me products and services I didn't need, scare me into thinking I wouldn't be safe in the winter. Women, don't go there unless you can say NO. Or the owner will try to scare you into buying safer tires or winterizing all your fluids. It's BS.

    It took them 7 weeks to fix my car. The first couple of weeks I received no communication about the status of my vehicle and the repairs. I had to keep calling and asking when they would start repairs and when they think it would be fixed. The first estimate was 10 days. After they began repairs, I was told at least 4 or 5 different days my car would be done. They kept pushing back the day when the car would be completed. I understand situations arise, but 7 weeks and that many times I had to try to rearrange my schedule because I thought I'd need to pick my car up that day got very old. I heard a sick mechanic was to blame, then they ordered the wrong part, then it was hard to get my car into service to get realigned. It was just overall a very stressful and time consuming experience. They then left a box of suspension parts in my backseat. It's been a week since I got my car back and the person trying to coordinate the pick up has still yet to come by and get them from me. He says he'll call when he can come by but never shows. 
    They at least paid for my rental car for the days past when my insurance would no longer cover it, which I appreciated. However, they shouldn't have had to do that if the car was fixed in a timely manner. My service manager taking care of my repairs once they were started was pretty helpful, but the manager also told me he'd call the rental car agency to take care of the bill under their account but when I called to get a total from the rental car agency I was blind sided saying that although he did call, they informed him I had to pay the total and they'd reimburse me. He never called to tell me that this was the case. He left me with the impression it was taken care of.

    The price was awesome. Best price I could find. They did the job with any complaint about me supplying the parts and the installation was done very quickly. It was done and ready when they said it would be. I would go to them again for any work I needed on a vehicle.

    How'd it go? Not well at all!!! We took the car in early in the morning, and they said it'd be ready that afternoon, and they'd call us. No phone call! We called them, and they then said it'd be the next day before finished. (They didn't call us to inform us about that!) No phone call from them the next day; so again I called. They said they would call when done....which they did do...at 5:30PM!!! They had to come and pick me up, as I didn't have a ride that second day. I picked-up the car, got about 6 blocks away, and the "check engine" light came back on again. It was "rush hour", so I continued home, and went in and called them. Jon (one of the owners) said, "I thought that'd happen." Bring it back, and we'll "check the codes." I took it back the next day; they found their codes, but admitted, they had no idea; but would check and call us back. After a WEEK of waiting for a call-back, we gave-up. They called back about 3 weeks later, asking when we were going to be bringing the car back.....we told them "never again!"


    They charged over $800, ($17 per spark plug-4 of them; and $64 LABOR to change 4 plugs, which would take about 15 minutes "tops!"


    When Capital Heights first opened by Bob Berg...service, price, quality work, and an HONEST owner, we were loyal customers of Bob's for over 20+ years. Then his son & a partner bought out the father....and it went down-hill FAST! Jon (Bob's son) is in "way over his head," and has excessive charges; poor quality of work (the last oil change in his "quick lube," they forgot to clean the passenger side of the windshield, and forgot the "mileage sticker") No, it's not like when the father owned it! We will never take any of our cars back to Jon again! (We found an "A" rated shop here on Angie's List, and have been very pleased with "their work & prices!"

    Car would not start in cold weather. Weather warmed up and I drove directly to the shop. I thought it was that I was using flex fuel.  Provider called with progress report and next steps in service. No codes showing. Reset something and told to try it and that it would reprogram itself.  Still using flex fuel and car starts every morning even below zero degrees.

    Didn't get giagnosis correct first, had to take vehicle back. Apologized and got it right the second time. Very thourough and explained reason both parts needed to be replaced. Provided loaner vehicle second time around. Bent over backwards to make it right. Only complaint was the cost but they gave me as much of a break as they could. They showed it to me on paper (the breakdown of costs and the help with keeping price down).

    wish they would do what you are there for and not try to upsell so much
    changed oil
    rotated the tires outside on a jack, not a lift.
