Pool And Spa Cleaning reviews in Wilmington

Real People ~ Real Reviews ~ Real Results

  • Jordan, project manager, was thorough and precise with price and products. I had a pool installed much faster than I dreamed in September, 2017 !!! After completion, Jordan is only a text away with a quick response. Just today, over a year later, Jordan delivered salt and adjusted the light schedule in response to my text request late yesterday. Now that's service !!!

  • My wife Kelly and I just moved from NJ into a new community in Wilmington, NC. Soon after moving realized how hot it gets down here and decided to get a pool. Driving through our development we saw a bunch of Prestige Pools flags in peoples yards. So we scheduled a consultation with Jordan and by the end of it we realized why there were so many of their pools being put in around us. Jordan did a fantastic job explaining to us all our options and the whole process. And not just on the day of the sale, but ANYTIME we had a question for him he was there. Even after the build is done he still checks in if we have any questions. The process was a breeze and I felt very comfortable having my back yard in their hands. The finished product is perfect!! Beautiful pool and surround, we use it everyday we can and LOVE it! Definitely recommend them to everyone who asks.

  • Our family has had a challenging and unpleasant experience dealing with Prestige Pools of Wilmington. There were so many problems, every step of the way, and the main issue was their communication.I couldn't possibly explain it all on this review. It would turn into a novel. If anyone has any questions please contact me directly and I will explain more in depth: 1 star reviews from unhappy customers either don't show up or are removed from google reviews. We realized this after speaking with other unsatisfied customers whose reviews are no longer there. Where are all the yelp reviews? Jordan is sneaky and lied about pricing. Took advantage of my husband and increased the price from 75k to 100k when my husband was unaware of what was previously discussed with our assistant, for the same pool. Had to speak with owner Shane-he honored original quote but pushed back completion date in contract. Sold waterfall kit that was an extra 25k. We are pretty sure no pool in Wilmington costs 125k, which did not include additional sqft of concrete, landscaping, new sod, fence repair, and new fencing around pool and equipment. We were told only bad weather would delay the pool finish date-not the case. Many beautiful days passed by with no workers here. The waterfall ordered arrived in the wrong color (not sure whose fault this was...Prestige or RicoRock). The person they hired to install the waterfall (we accepted wrong color to speed it up) was unqualified, lacked the skills needed, and SLOW. He spent 5 days (at about 2 hours a day only) doing poor work. RR said it would only take 1-2 days, Jordan did as well. Excuses-we were told he was old and we had to be patient with him. After a week we asked for him to be removed and a qualified, skilled mason to be put on the job to remove all the rocks and mortar, and start from the ground up. Come to find out, this man has been kicked off many jobs before for being nasty, rude, lazy, and even called a woman an obscenity we found out through talking to others in our position who had similar bad experiences. The best part is that they keep hiring him for jobs knowing his workmanship. Why?...we still have no idea. Was told concrete was included but in the end had to pay $7000 for 170 extra sqft and shell concrete instead of stamped, even though the cost of both is exactly the same with the concrete company who we hired to finish our backyard on their own. We were threatened that if we didn't pay the money today the job would be delayed and that would be our fault. Sold a "$2500" landscape light but when it came (After asking many times through text, phone calls and in person) it was 2 little lights and my husband found them on Amazon, each for around $150..What a ripoff. After receiving $100k in the first week and excavation, they disappeared. It was a battle to get in contact with either of them. Jordan became defensive whenever we asked a question. In the beginning he said he was the project manager and would be on site most of the time which he was not. He led us to believe everything was done in house-it's not. The spa wasn't hooked up until the very end and didn't work properly. Had to get fixed by another pool company they work with. Positives: The subcontractors were great. Special props to T&T concrete, Blake and Eddie did amazing work, were easy to communicate with, and are highly skilled. Yogi, the mason hired to fix the waterfall also did a great job with that and should have been the one hired from the start. The men who dug the hole, and the men who cleaned the pool were hard workers and great assets. In the end, the pool does look nice now and works properly (at the moment), however, dealing with this company was not easy at all. I wish it would have been a more enjoyable experience for my family and I wish their communication was better. These were the things that ultimately led to encountering way more issues than were necessary.

  • Excellent. The entire team at Ocean Blue Pools are professional and provided my pool and pool house as we had discussed and planned. The pool, deck and pool house are first class. I would definitely recommend them to my friends and family.

  • Kevin was the best working on the design, layout and the various obstacles we encountered with fencing since we were on a raised patio. He was very responsive and patient with me as there were some changes along the way and some delays with inspectors, etc. Overall a very good, professional company and great to work with the owner Kevin and his wife Pauline. Highly recommend.

  • Ocean Blue Pools was fantastic from start to finish! They are honest, friendly, clean and professional. Ocean Blue spent a ton of time with us selecting our pool and making sure we were comfortable with the layout before installing. During install, they took care in laying mats over our grass before driving heavy equipment in the yard, moved any plants in the way (so they wouldnt be destroyed), relocated irrigation, and left the construction site tidy and as safe as possible before leaving everyday. They also spent time after install, teaching us how to take care of the pool, use the equipment, etc. Great folks! The outcome...our pool looks like it was built with our house...fits in perfectly. We have our own little oasis right in our backyard. Years later, we still love our Ocean Blue pool! Best improvement we made to our house!

  • Beautifully done, from start to finish. After searching online and reading reviews, we sent an e-mail to three pool companies stating our budget and wish list. We asked them to tell us how much of our "wish list" they could provide within our budget. One company never responded at all, one sent an e-mail response about a week later. Jordan Whitaker of Prestige Pools called immediately and stopped by that afternoon with photos and suggestions. He got the contract. Jordan was honest about what could/should be done. His price was fair. We decided on a 12X25 fiberglass pool, 4 1/2 feet deep throughout, with filter, skimmer, etc., one light, and a Rico Rock waterfall. Jordan returned with Shane, the company owner, to survey the yard. Installing a pool is a project with lots of parts. Excavation, pool placement, concrete decking, various inspections, etc. Throughout the process, Jordan was here frequently. The customer service was absolutely wonderful. Each team of workers clearly knew what they were doing, and each step of this process required skill and experience. Jordan also coordinated efforts with our fence contractor and landscaper. He cleaned the pool for our first use, and taught us how to care for filter, etc. All necessary equipment was included. No surprise extra necessities with charges. Everything can be operated electronically by cell phone. Our pool was ready on the promised day in time for a gathering of out-of-state family! We are very happy with the result, and we recommend Prestige without hesitation.

  • It went very well. CCPL were there when they said they would be and finished the job when they said they would. We are very happy with our new pool It turned out even better than I could have imagined. We had a really good feeling about Art Miller the day he came to our house to discuss the pool and give us an estimate. He was very professional and we knew he knew his business. Art was very good in communicating with us and has always promptly returned our phone calls, text, and emails, unlike another pool company we had reached out to, and this remained so through the entire project of which I have greatly appreciated. Our project manager Eric has been equally as attentive to our needs from start to finish to make sure things flowed along in a timely manner. Eric was also excellent in answering my phone calls and texts and always patiently answered ALL of my many questions, which meant a lot. Couldn't ask for a better team! These guys have been wonderful and we are so happy we chose Carolina Creatiations to install our new pool. We have found them to be very trustworthy and true to their word. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a pool or outdoor project. I have heard horror stories from some of my friends and neighbors that have went used other companies but I can honestly say we have had a great experience with Carolina Creations.

  • After paying $80.25 for the repair, I was disappointed to find that it had not worked. Making matters worse, I was charged twice for the service. Upon contacting both Will and Liz to let them know of the mistake, they said they only sent the charge to my bank one time. I spoke to my bank and was told that the charge definitely went through twice. I then provided proof to Bullfrog Pools, but they continued to deny that they took the money twice. Fortunately, my bank has a dispute process and they are trying to collect the money for me.

  • I would advise anyone to find another provider. Without getting too detailed, I should have known it wouldn't go well when the man delivering the pool equipment advised us to go with another provider.  Our pool has never worked correctly since the very first day. Multiple attempts have been made to correct myriad of problems with no luck. Pool cleaning was okay, Our pool doesn't get very dirty because there aren't very many trees but they would charge us an arm and a leg for cleaning it when their pool cleaner would basically sit in our lounge chairs for 15 minutes on his phone. After a major problem with our heater, Jeff came out and of course did not fix anything but charged us. I finally had 2 other well know companies out and fixed the problem immediately all the while telling us all the things that were done wrong by Jeff. Jeff is a nice enough guy, however his wife is not and always acted as if we were a huge inconvenience. She is very unprofessional.
