Garage Door Repair And Installation reviews in Wilmington

    Garage Door Specialist
I left a message for them Wed. night that we needed someone to come the first thing the next morning as I had a 9 AM doctor's appointment and would like to get my car out. They called the next morning and arrived soon after. He got the door up so I could get to my appointment and determined that the spring had broken. He replaced the spring.

    Overhead Door
Wow, what an experience - the day started out poorly, I was outside and went to open the 2-car garage door and it went up about 3" and stopped, tried it again, same problem. I had the key on me so opened the side door and turned on the light. There were no obstructions I could see so disengaged the track and tried to lift it, couldn't lift the door no matter how hard I tried. Then I noticed the cable laying on the floor and traced it to the spring-loaded pulley mounted over the door. The cable on the other side was laying on the floor also. That's when I noticed the spring itself was in 2 pieces, uh oh. I called Overhead (had used them twice before) and was told someone would be out but it's a 2-step process, someone comes out and measures the spring and then orders a replacement for overnight. We're a 1-car family and no one around to help me raise the door so I could back the car out, not good. Well, superman showed up at 3:00 on the dot (real name Steve), I let him in the side door and he quickly diagnosed the problem and said he'd be right back. He returned with a couple of bags of tools and in about 7 minutes had removed the broken spring. He runs outside and comes back in a minute with a new spring (Voila!). I wish I had filmed him in action, he was just a blur moving the ladder back and forth, going up and down, doing this, doing that and in no time at all had the new spring installed (not for the faint of heart). Steve noticed I had been lubricating the opener track and the door pulleys and hinges but not the spring, he said to make sure I do that also, very important. Total cost was $200 and he departed at 3:25, amazing - thank you Steve (aka Superman)!

Fully did not expect to get same day services when calling on a Monday morning. Placed call at 730, was scheduled for a 11 - 1 time slot and technician arrived at 1220. Agreed to replace both sides of the spring while he was on site. Fully satisfied with the service and repair tech.

    Powers Garage Door Co.
Called them after regular business hours, and they scheduled an estimate next morning. Showed up on time for the estimate, had the needed parts on hand, installation was same day. Took about 45 minutes and the door has not been so quiet for years. Was very happy with the work, the cordiality, and the professionalism

    Garage Door Specialist
Technician arrived in a professional vehicle well marked with company name.

Proceeded to introduce himself and scheduler had also given me my technicians name.

Immediately was able to open my door manually and allow me to get the vehicle out of the
    Garage to the Driveway.

    Diagnosed the problem.
Did not try to oversell the appointment.

I asked for a keypad and he had one on his truck.
The entire service call was under a hour and had all the parts on the truck.
Technician even offered to leave replaced parts.
I declined and what was really impressive he left my garage floor cleaner than when he arrived.

I do not usually write reviews however I was lucky to find the right service provider and was very
pleased with pricing, service, professionalism, receipt was emailed to me before he left along with
a decal to put above the garage door opener in case we need them in the future.

Now I only have one name "Garage Door Specialist"  I understand they are a family owned business
all over the Triangle to the Beach:). ! Thank You Garage Door Specialist!

    Crawford Door Systems
They did a really good job. He said the spring that I had in the door was a waste, because it was oversize. He put in a standard sized spring to save me money. The new spring that he put in would last the same amount of time as the oversize one that was put in by the person who built the house. The main tech has recently suffered a heart attack. They have a very good reputation for doing good work and most of it was due to him. I'm sure they have other good techs, but he was the best. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an overhead garage door company.

    The Garage Door Company
This is my second experience with The Garage Door Company. They were very knowledgeable and they offered the best solution for my needs . The job was completed on time and on budget. I am very pleased with the results. One last positive that I was not aware of until the job was completed is that they give 5% of their profits to local and international outreaches.

    Rock's Garage Doors
A year or so ago Rock's Garage Doors repaired my garage door so when my garage door wouldn't open I called Rock's.  He asked me questions about what was wrong and then asked if I could go to the garage and check out the springs to see if they were broken.  When I said they weren't, he asked me to move the sensor on the side and try to open the garage because he thought they may have been misaligned.  I did this and the door now works!  He stayed on the phone with me until he was sure there were no other problems.   I highly recommend Rock's Garage Doors and I will be sure to call them again if I ever have any more issues with my garage door.
