Colors by Design Painting LLC has an office in Wilmington NC. and Charlotte NC. We paint exterior"s and interior's. My crews also have a carpenter, we replace rot wood. We do not take short cuts. *Our paint jobs come with a 3yr Warranty. It includes paint peeling. It does not include fading, or other Acts of God. *We do not warranty stain however. *We use Sherwin Williams paint. We can use paint of your choice if needed. *My painter's clean up after themselves daily. *My field manager checks on the paint jobs in progress. *Free estimate's. *Very competitive prices.

This company obviously has cash flow problems since immediately upon issuing a bill he will continuously call you until he either comes to collect a check. There is never any discussion of the bill. If he charges it, you must pay it. If he purchases supplies that is reimbursed by the customer, he does not produce a bill, only his bill. I have learned my lesson after many thousands of dollars lost ...

my initial work was a bathroom renovation and this company performed well at a reasonable price. I hired him again for various other jobs and the price went from a quote to a extremely high hourly rate with many hours being paid for cell phone time and smoking cigarettes. I paid several thousand of dollars to repair the roof of a sun room and it still leaks. I contacted Mr Markley and he does not guarantee his work, said he would come back at additional cost. He also has started charging to give an estimate. My daughter asked for an estimate and he charged 90.00 to give an estimate on house repairs.

It took a few weeks to hear back from him but that was due to some computer issues he had with getting his email. Once he contacted me, he started when he said he would and was very honest about the price and definitely the quality of his work was top-notch. Mark Marcley is the real deal. I needed help replacing the rotten eaves around the front and sides of my house. He and his sons were there to take care of the repairs needed to close the sale on my house. He and his sons removed and replaced the rotten fascia around the eaves and it was caulked, primered and painted so that it will last for a long time. He had no qualms about coordinating with the city to "drop" the electric service to the house.
