    Dental Works
RE: My experience with Dental Works AKA DW When my son needed dental assistance, 4-19-14 I looked into getting dental discount for him. I shopped Dental plans.com. I called Dental Works (DW) and asked them if they accepted the plan I chose. They couldn’t tell me. Unfortunately, around 4-22-14 my tooth started hurting. I was able to set an appointment for 2:00 on the 24th with Dental Works , 1595 Glidewell Dr. Burlington 336-524-0099. When I got there they didn’t have me on the schedule. There was confusion about wanting an appointment, because I was concerned about getting a discount with a dental program and wanted to know if they were part of it. I didn’t mean to cancel the appointment. So they said that they would fit me in. They did, but I waited for an hour or more before I got to see Dr. Diane Jacobs. A full panorama was taken and she said that I needed two cleanings. One for 451.80 and the other for 126.40 and that she couldn’t see why my tooth was hurting, but that there were two cavities. Then we set appointments to have that done. They couldn’t take care of the problem today. We set an appointment for cleaning on 5-1-14 and an appointment to take care of the problem, my hurting tooth on JUNE 05,2014. This is ridiculous. I must suffer for a month and a half? They charged me $149.60 to let me know about how they could possibly help me in the future with partials and gave me a price of $1998 for two. When I got home I reflected (can’t believe that they were satisfied with letting someone suffer for six weeks) and decided that they are not as concerned with my problem as they are concerned with making money on cleaning and partials, so I , upper and lower. My tooth broke on Thursday, May 1. The next day I called. Gloria answered the phone but said that the office was closed and I would have to wait until Monday, 3 more days. We set an appointment for 9:00 on Monday. At 9:00 I was there and waited over 30 minutes to get in a room and then I waited quite a while, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as it was the first time I visited, but it was a long time for having an appointment. Dr. Jacobs looked at the tooth, gave me some options. She said that there was an oral surgeon there that day and that it would be $370 plus more x-rays to pull it. I agreed at first to have it done, though I thought that it was very highly priced. As I was sitting there waiting for their return I decided to make some phone calls and shop. Glad I did. I made an appointment with Dewey Carter for 10:45, half an hour from then. I asked for my x-rays and was handed a Xerox copy of only tooth #5. I said that that wasn’t very clear. They told me that if I was going to another doctor that they would send the x-rays to them via e-mail, which would be clear. They also asked for another $52.80, which I found out later was $20 above the average fee for a consultation. I paid it and left at 10:30 and the last thing the receptionist said was that she would take care of my x-rays. When I got to Dewey Carter they hadn’t received the x-rays. Dental works took my money, and then put off serving me. Now they have my money, were not willing to help me without an exurbanite fee, and have my x-rays. We waited ½ an hour. At 11:15 DC’s office called Dental works and told them that if they don’t send them in the next 5 mins. I wouldn’t have a chance getting this done today. Then they were put on hold. So, I called and asked for the manager and was put on hold and hold and hold and never got through. Then the x-rays, not all of them, just some of them, the important ones for now, came. I hung up the phone. DC pulled the tooth, didn’t need more x-rays and only charged $171. If DW would have pulled the tooth at a reasonable price, and not wanted more x-rays, it would have been done there then. And I would have been pleased. I am not pleased with DW and when I get partials, it won’t be from them. Here’s another thought. Could my tooth have been saved on the 24th? They lied to me about needing more x-rays I feel robbed and lied to. This story is even worse, because now Jan. 13, 2015, eight months later. I finally got my teeth cleaned and the dentist told me that the cavities were too small to worry about. Plus the dentist didn’t need to take a full panorama until we decided to try to get dentures.

    Fuller Dental Practice
Their office hours and their availability stand out to me about them. They open at seven thirty in the morning and they always seem to be running on time. The staff is great and I haven't had any issues with the staff at all.

The Dr. Matsko is great! I was new the area in 2012 and Fuller Dental was recommended. Since then, I've had a badly infected tooth removed and four crowns. I recommend this office to everyone!
