    Longs Restoration
The table had been a dining table cut down to a coffee table. It has large ball and claw feet with a lot of detail and was in bad shape. It also had been taken apart. Dennis Long refinished it beautifully as well as put it back together with additional reinforcement, all for a very reasonable price. I was very impressed with the quality of work and will most certainly use his talent again as well as recommend to others.

    Fibrenew Monroe
Fibrenew was very quick in responding to an inquiry for repair of a leather seat bottom that was ripped and in very bad shape. They promptly provided an estimate and scheduled an appointment for the repair within a week. Fibrenew came to my home and took the seat out of the car for repair. They returned the next day and installed the repaired seat. The leather work was excellent and the color matched the old leather. I'm very pleased with the work and how easy they were to work with. This is the second time I have used them and would use them again.

I hired Peter as he was recommended on Nextdoor. He was gracious enough to pick up the cedar chest from my home as we lived close by. I was SO pleased to see the end result when he returned the chest. It is beautiful and I am so happy. This cedar chest means a lot to me and Peter did a wonderful job restoring it.

    Conder's Piano Service
They moved a very expensive piano in what amounted to an uncovered pickup truck. The piano arrived undamaged, but the entire process came off as very unprofessional. The one positive is that full insurance is included in the cost of the move.

    Charlotte Piano
Wendell and his team did a great job. They were prompt, professional and very careful. The job turned out to be more complicated than initially thought because of the tight quarters at the house where the piano had resided for decades. Wendell also provided me with a recommendation for a piano tuner, whom I will be using next week.

    Well-Loved Piano
Thank you Barnes Piano, LLC for your exceptional customer service! Tim not only took the time to explain to me the fundamentals and importance of tuning a piano but my 5 year old was drawn in immediately by his passion. She started playing since the age of 3 and I think her excitement in learning the piano only grew after meeting Tim. We look forward to working with you and your team for years to come!!!! And the piano sounds PERFECT!!!!

    PALMER'S REFINISHING
Mr. Palmer was awesome! Very professional, cost actual came in lower than the estimate, he was on time and did exactly what he said he would do during the estimate. Love the new hinges on our kitchen cabinets. They are very quiet and now close completely. He is very trustworthy and I was very comfortable having him in my home. He took extra care to protect our hardwood floors while working. He did such a great job I now have him refinishing an antique table.

    HH GREGG
I would say the prices at this store were on par, and the salesman was pretty darn good, customer service is horrible and their extended warranty is the WORST I have ever used. DO NOT, however, buy anything from HH Gregg. Of course, the choice is yours - but I will tell you why & you make that call. Problems During Sales & Delivery: We purchased what seemed like a fantastic GE refrigerator during a decent sale for a new home we were constructing. We bought the fridge a few months before we needed it, because the salesman talked us into getting it at that price and they would store it until we needed it delivered. PLUS, if the price dropped they would give us the newer, better price. So why not, right? We bought their 5 year warranty, too. Well, a few months go by & it's time to deliver it. They tell us they don't have the refrigerator anymore. Keep in mind, this is a fridge that we already bought & paid for, yet somehow they didn't have it anymore??? To top that off, the refrigerator is now an outdated model and the new model is more expensive. If we chose a refund, it would still cost us too much to get another one, because the good sale was long over. To HH Gregg's credit, after a LONG and drawn out argument with their store management, they finally agreed to give us the newer & more expensive refrigerator at a the same price as our original one. This, however, was only after a LOT of stress and unnecessary arguing. So their customer service process gets a 2/5 because they eventually fixed their error. I cannot give them any higher rating because they tried to get more money out of us, after selling our fridge (that we already owned) out from under us. HUGE problems with their warranty company: Fast forward 1.5 years after the fridge was delivered. The refrigerator portion of our Fridge has been freezing our food. Milk bottles are expanding and then busting out of the containers, the Kale is like ICE. Our onions are frozen solid. It's absolutely ridiculous. This is a GE problem, not an HH Gregg problem, but the way the Warrantech (??) company works is absolutely the worst of any appliance or electronic I have ever used. The HH Gregg warranty department schedules an appointment for a tech to come out. The tech was from "Golden In-Home Service". They are only open Monday-Friday 9-6; which isn't very good for 2 working homeowners. But we dealt with it, cancelled some meetings & planned to stay home for that scheduled visit. 2 days later, we get a call from "Golden In-Home Service" stating that our appoint is now scheduled for the day after HH Gregg's warranty company (Warrantech?) scheduled it for. Then tells us that the warranty company cannot schedule their people, it must come through their own dispatch, etc. Strike 2 so far with the warranty company. When the tech does show up, he's about the same age as my kid, and doesn't seem to know anything. He tells me that I have a bad water valve, and ignores when I suggest that the water valve is only bad because it's frozen, just like the contents of my refrigerator. This first service guys says, he cannot find anything wrong with the fridge, and he just "rebooted it" by unplugging and plugging it back in & he cleared out all the frozen lines and components in the fridge. I called the service company and they were incredibly rude and unprofessional, which of course makes me be just equally rude back to them. They say there is nothing wrong with my fridge, and I guess freezing items in the Fridge portion is just an acceptable behavior to them. So I asked what we are supposed to do when our 2500 dollar fridge starts freezing things again, they said I will just have to call back. 5-days later we call back, Ask for a Senior Tech; and they finally send him out. Meanwhile we have 2 newborn twins and all our food keeps freezing. He comes out & replaces the mother board, but the board is bad & won't take the software updates. 7-days later - again. Replace more boards and do software updates in our non-tech style fridge. Replace sensors. 14 days layer - again. nothing they can do. 10 days later - again. Comes back out and tells me that we should just try to use the areas of the fridge that aren't freezing things. There is nothing more they can do for us. Meanwhile,I am getting the finger-pointing run around between the golden service people and the warrantech people, and no one will take ownership for the problem and replace the fridge if that is what's needed. The Service company says they can't replace & needs to come from Warrantech. Warrantech says they won't deal with me and it MUST come from the service company that THEY sent to me. All along, the customer service is completely aweful. I guess a positive thing is that all call centers seem to at least be English speaking agents, but still rude and useless. We still don't have a working fridge after months of trying to get it fixed. STAY AWAY!!!! Update 11/14/16 - We have been trying to get this repaired for 2 months now. The Warranty company told me today that since the Service company says nothing is wrong - I don't even qualify for a 2nd opinion. So, I have a refrigerator that freezes it's contents; and cannot be used - but because someone else said nothing is wrong - then I am out of luck for any service or repair? How does that happen? I am now waiting to hear back from a supervisor - who will approve or deny our request for a 2nd opinion on our refrigerator, and meanwhile have newborn twins in the house and cannot even use our main kitchen refrigerator! We have just filed an official complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs of NC - and hopefully they will take legal action against HHGregg & The Warranty company!

    Well-Loved Piano
Tim called at 8:30 to say he was sitting in traffic so would be slightly late for our appointment, which I truly appreciated. When he arrived, he did an initial assessment of my piano, asking how long I've had it (18 mos), who plays it and how much, where did I get it? After about 15 more minutes he called me back in, told me all about my piano: how old it is, the style of the case, the condition it is in now. He told me what he needed to do to get it up to snuff and how much that would be. I agreed and he went to work. He spent a few hours going about his business, showed me what he had done, and taught me how to take care of the humidifier pads myself so that I would only need a visit from him yearly. I can't say nice enough things about Tim, and every single contact point in the process was precise and professional. If every business ran like this, life would be much less stressful. I'm already scheduled for next year.

    Carolina Finishing Inc
Ed repaired a dining room table leaf that was damaged during our move to the home over a year ago. The table leaf repair was amazing and repaired promptly.  He recently refinished an antique dresser with mirror and bookshelf. He made repairs to blemishes in the wood and the all pieces look amazing. Would highly recommend his services.
