    Coastal Carolina Improvements
Will and Sarah McWilliams are con artists who take advantage of their clients, quote low to get the job then whine how they should have charged more, can't pay for employees labor (his brothers) left huge holes where fill dirt should have been placed around fencing, put their tools on my materials purchases, destroy property with their carelessness (broke $100 decorative plate, storm door closure) then quit before job is completed after paying over double their quoted price...more no shows than actual show ups, dumped debris in woods behind house which is my property. Took over 8 weeks and job still not completed have to hire another contractor to finish jobs...took all materials purchased so I have to rebuy...fencing not stretched properly not even on top posts not dug in properly

    50 North Roofing,Co. LLC
The total renovation project of our house was complex and required a lot of creativity and technical skill. 50 North Roofing was one of the very best among the many subcontractors. They not only installed metal roofing, they carefully ensured all the details of the roof functioned well and looked great. Same for the zinc gutter system. Luis was attentive to our requriements, timely, and supervised a great team who was detail-oriented, creative and technically excellent. They also pitched on smaller projects to help out the overall project. Thanks!

When I called for an estimate they told me they would have someone come that afternoon or next day to measure and will leave an estimate in the mailbox. Two weeks have passed and no one has contacted me or left an estimate in my mailbox.

    Harts Roofing & Windows
Harts Roofing did an excellent job on our roof. They were always on time and the crew was hard working and friendly. Our neighbors were all impressed with the quality of the workmanship. The work was done right the first time; we've had some intense wind and rain since, and our new roof has had no problems at all. Derek also worked with us on the financing when no one else would. This company provided a high quality product at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

He was prompt. He actually called me back when I left a message. Which is rare around this area I am learning.

He came when he said he would and did a great job. I would definitely use him again. 5 stars.

It went very well.  I am a returning customer.  I had my roof done in Feb. of 2015 and was very satisfied.  When I had a car hit my house, I knew immediately who I wanted to fix it.  As in the past, the crew was very professional and hardworking.  Brian and Sarah are the best.  They followed up on the work-site to make sure everything is progressing as expected. Brian was very good about explaining all the details of the project before beginning to ensure I understood what they were able to fix with the funds available.  Sarah immediately returned my text when I told her what happened and her and Brian came over within an hour and they were on their way to their son's game.  Can't say enough positive things about Atlantic Coastal.  I still have work that I need to get done on my house, and when I get the funds to do it:), I know who I will be calling.  Thanks again Atlantic Coastal!

I called for a quote to have some rotten siding replaced prior to having
my house painted.  Atlantic Coastal stood me up without a phone call on
2 separate occasions after stating they would come look at it, a
Saturday and a Monday which I waited around for them to show.  They
called my cell phone about 3 weeks later and hung up the phone when my
wife answered.  I can't speak to the quality of work since they never
showed, but I was not impressed with their professionalism.

It went very well.  Brian & Sara kept in contact with me to ensure everything was going well, mostly by text which was great and convenient for me.  One crew did the roof and another crew did the soffit & fascia.  I have an old house so there were some areas needing unexpected attention which Brian was quick to point out and ensure it was fixed.  After the roof was complete, we had several days of rain.  At the time of the massive rain storms,  I was not living at the house but when I stopped by I seen the roof windows had leaked water onto the floor, I called Sarah and she sent someone over within an hour of my call.  The roof has not leaked since.  Both crews were professional and friendly.  Once I am able, I hope to have windows put in.  I of course plan to shop Angie's List again and have several estimates, but I have a feeling that I will be sticking with Brian & Sara.  Thank you Atlantic Coastal Enterprises.

PLEASE READ THIS UPDATE AND FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME BEFORE HIRING THIS CONTRACTOR FOR ANYTHING! My email [Removed Members EMail Address]. As you can see from my original review, this contractor was professional and courteous and treated my husband and I with the utmost priority and respect, always answering phone calls promptly and going on endlessly about how much pride he took in his business, quality of work, professionalism of his workers, blah blah blah.  They reassured us that we would be "treated right" and that they would take care of all the repairs from the last lowlife we had to deal with.  The minute we handed him the final check, that professionalism went out the window!  We paid this company a little over $15,000 so I don't think it's too much to ask for them to stand by their work and not blow us off when they realize "quality" is obviously in the eye of the beholder.  Not long after the job was complete (during one of those nasty rain storms in August) I thought I heard water running in my guest room.  I discovered that rain was POURING from the ceiling.  Not dripping.  POURING!  It was running down the walls, all over my dresser, ruined a brand new flat screen Sony TV, and soaked my bedding.  My husband and I called and they sent someone over to "temporarily" fix the problem.  They said the roof would be fixed promptly and the ceiling replaced "after it dried out".  Well, WEEKS later still no response from the numerous phone calls and texts from my husband and I.  Finally I got on Angie's List and sent them a message.  Apparently Angie's List is their bread and butter because, POOF, a prompt text and Angie's List response from Sarah (8/8/14).  She assured me that someone had come while no one was home and repaired the outside of the roof and that "there will be no more damage" until they could get back to fix the ceiling.  Never heard back from them (notice a pattern emerging) so I texted Sarah again on 8/25/14. She "checked" with her husband and told me that someone would be out "one day this week".  No specification as to which day, what time, etc.  I told her that I was off Wednesday through Friday that week and she said "I'll let you know".  SURPRISE!  No one showed up that week or the following week.  No phone calls or texts from anyone.  Then on 9/8/14 at 7:42am I get a text from Sarah asking if someone can come to fix the ceiling that afternoon.  I guess they think no one else works and can sit around all day waiting on them, but I still made arrangements to be home early that afternoon.  Waited on them.  Kept waiting.  No call.  No text.  Finally, at 4:14 I text again asking whether someone is coming or not.  No response from Sarah.  Finally, someone showed up early evening and got started.  Barely.  Then he left and was supposed to return the next morning.  The plan was to come by at 7:30am to put more plaster on and then return around 6:00pm to allow it to dry in between.  Again, no one showed up.  No call.  No text.  (Again, here's the pattern).  I texted Sarah at 7:00 that night and asked her what happened.  She told me the EXACT opposite of what the worker told me, and even indicated that I was lying and that the worker never told me he was coming.  Really?!  The worker called me shortly after and apologized and he assured me that he would be here the next day (9/11).  Guess what?  Didn't show.  Sarah texted 15 minutes before he was scheduled to arrive to let me know he was "caught up" on another job but would be here tomorrow to finish!  Well, the next morning (9/12) I was off from work and relaxing in my living room listening to that nasty storm we had and reading a book when....get ready for it, I heard water running.  Ran into the guest room and rain was AGAIN pouring into my house.  Same spot as before!  But now the water mark was moving even closer to the center of the room, as it was quickly growing.  And this time I had a nice pile of wet plaster and insulation on my wood floor because when they left on Monday they left the room in shambles. I texted Sarah immediately to let her know that I'd had ENOUGH and this was completely unprofessional and that someone needed to get out here immediately.  Guess what?  Yep!  No response!  But...the worker just happened to call about an hour later to let me know that, YET AGAIN, I was being blown off again today.  He told me that he was unavailable today and wanted to know what time "tomorrow" he could come to work.  I quickly let him know that my ceiling was leaking, and suddenly he was no longer "tied up" and told me he would be here within the hour.  At this point, my husband had to take over because my patience was GONE.  He showed up, shoved something in the "problem spot" on the roof, and told my husband that he would be back the next morning around 9:00.  So.....yesterday morning comes and STILL NO ONE HAS COME TO FIX MY ROOF!  Now I can't get anyone to answer their phone or my texts!  Is this really how you want to treat locals?  Folks, I am only telling you about the biggest problem post-payment I've had with this company.  I haven't even gotten into the fact that I told them I was not satisfied with some aspects of my composite deck back in July.  Sarah and Brian assured me that they would find out about sealing it, replacing the boards that are messed up, etc. and still haven't followed up with that either.  OR the fact that my ceiling fan fell out of my ceiling a couple days after the roofers left and (surprise!) it's still hanging!  I know this review is LONG but I want you to be AWARE of how insignificant you will become once this company gets your money.  And they will obviously NOT stand behind their work.  They will blow you off and force you to lawyer up like we apparently are gonna have to do!  Shame on you Brian and Sarah, you guys pretend to be upstanding local contractors who care about their customers but are simply con artists in professional logo shirts.

The work went well.  They did all this work during different contracts as I was doing some of the work myself.  They showed up when expected, did the work to a high quality and the estimate was right on.  They even called their supplier on speaker phone with me right there so that I could hear the quote for materials.  Job site was left clean and I was even sent pictures of the roof during and after the work!
