AAdvantage ConstructionJob #1 - Corky and his crew do excellent work and show outstanding attention to detail. Corky is easy to work with. He offered suggestions, while the work was in progress, that we would not have considered - which improved the outcome tremendously. I feel that he is honest, strives to understand what I want, and makes suggestions that save money. He hires hard workers who are always respectful, polite and professional. They were considerate of our needs, and always left the work area clean when finished for the day. Job #2 - Because of the scope of the job for the new addition, we wanted to be sure we did our due-diligence, and requested quotes from three construction companies, Advantage Construction included. Not only was Corky’s bid far more reasonable than the others, he immediately took my drawing and made suggestions on minor design tweaks/options, as well as ways to save us money. He has a good eye for design, and offers solutions to problems without raising his projected cost. It was a no-brainer. We are not quite half-way into the project, and are very pleased so far. Don is a skilled carpenter, and it is obvious he knows what he is doing – the entire crew has done a great job, they have been reliable, have worked hard, and have been a pleasure to work with. I’ve already made a change to one of the window sizes after the wall went up, and Corky made the adjustment without question. If not here working himself, which he often is, Corky stops by every evening to check on the day’s work, and to see if we have any questions. I can’t wait to see the finished product! I will finish my review when this build is complete, but as of now, I give them an A+.- Brian S.

AAdvantage ConstructionI bought a house in the historic district of Wilmington. It was a great house, but with small living room and dining room. I wanted an open house plan on the first floor with the living room, dining room and hallway turned into one space. I had several builders look at the project. One said it could not be done, another two 'top' builders in town basically said that they had done it before, knew how to do it, and really did not seem interested in talking to me about what I wanted, only what they had done before. Fortunately, a very good upholsterer who was doing work for me suggested Advantage Construction. I am very particular about workmanship and I wanted fabulous woodwork in my living room/dining room. Corky took me to see cabnetry that they had done in the past. It looked great and their price was very fair and lower than what the 'top' builders quoted. Price is important to me, but even more important is a builder who will talk to me about what I want and help me figure it out. The crew was very interested and patient while we figured out how I wanted it to look. When I changed something, they were very good about it. Corky said that he would not be happy with the job unless I was happy. All upcharges were with my approval and were because I added something. They always told me when they would be late due to picking up materials, etc. Frankly, I don't even talk to other builders or ask for quotes from them anymore. I know that the Advantage crew listens to me, knows what they are doing, does a great job, and quotes fairly.- Susan Q.

AWorking with Chris Holland at Rodas Construction has been an absolute joyful experience. They are doing a 4 part job for me at my house. Refoofing, landscape retaining walks, concrete drive and two wood decks. The roofing is com complete and Chris and his crew did an excellent job!!! As an architect I'm pretty selective on who I choose to do my own work. I see contractors every day. Rodas meet their agreed to schedule, did the work professionally and clean up was amazing!!!! Chris is a true gentleman abd has my respect as we continue to work.
