    Killingsworth Environmental Home Services
    I hired Killingsworth for bedbug treatment because of a testimonial on their website and the associated guarantee. After treatment, bites continued and bugs were detected by K9 in headboard of bed. Item was removed from premises. Bites continued almost nightly, but K9 could not find the bugs. Management refused requests to retreat even though I had purchased the guarantee. After continued requests, and at the end of the paid warranty, I was finally told that they would retreat one time after which they would sever all connection with me as a customer. After research, I believe that the condo was NEVER treated sufficiently on a cool winter day and that when bugs were detected, re-treatment should have occurred immediately without delay. However, after paying more than $2500 plus warranty, and sending a $2000 headboard to the landfill, management has continually stonewalled, and it is my conclusion that they are not only unable to provide service I expected, but also that their supposed guarantee is worthless, especially if K9 cannot find the bugs. I want to say that the individuals providing the services are good people. My complaint is with ownership and management and their refusal to honor their commitment to me as a customer and provide fair service. Killingsworth's warranty is simply worthless. "Above and Beyond" means completing the job commissioned and paid for...by whatever means necessary... not making excuses for not doing so. After a failed heat treatment for bed bugs, Killingsworth management continually refused to reheat treatment until 1-3-17. They stated that unless I could produce a bug, they would not reheat (bites had continued throughout the year of warranty). Again, at the time reheating was eventually offered, it was with the condition that all ties would then be severed and no future services would be provided, warranty or otherwise. I viewed this as another slap in the face from management and felt that it was extremely unethical treatment of a customer. The condo should have been reheated as soon as the headboard was removed as bedbugs were still present after treatment according to K9 detection and continued bites. Once the headboard was removed, the K9s could never find another source and management used this as an excuse not to retreat, although the same bites continued almost daily. It is important to note that during the post treatment inspection, the K9 did not detect bugs in the headboard until I specifically directed the handler to put the K9 up on the mattress and sniff the headboard. It is highly likely that K9 detection is imperfect. In the entire time that bites have occured, I have found only one adult bed bug in towels from the linen closet which was never detected by K9 during inspection. K9 alerted to bugs on other end of condo in bedroom, sun room, and living room. And still, I have never seen another bug despite the fact that I continue to get the typical small "three in a row" itchy bites several times a week. I spray daily and heat bedding twice a week. I did request that the company empirically reheat the condo with the continued bites as empirical evidence of continued infestation, no matter how minimal or occult, and was continually rebuked. It is interesting to note that the company stated several times that spraying does little to kill bed bugs unless they are sprayed directly because the residual left after spray dries typically does not harm the bugs (they do not groom like other bugs). While they refused to reheat the condo, they did say they would spray, which they did after telling me multiple times it would not work. I allowed them to spray even though it had not worked in the past. After they sprayed, bites continued unabated and they still refused to reheat. In my opinion, the heat treatment was never completed. The bed was not sufficiently heated to kill the BB's, and it is therefore safe to assume that the walls and remainder of the premises was not adequately heated to adequate temperature for a sufficient duration to eliminate the bugs. If they had returned and, just once, reheated the condo, I would not be complaining. And if they do not believe I have bed bugs, it is my opinion that they should have worked with me tirelessly and more intently to identify the source of the bites. Putting out a few baitless traps does not suffice. As I stated, I did request multiple times that the company empirically reheat the condo with the continued bites as empirical evidence of continued infestation, no matter how minimal or occult and was continually rebuked... "that will cost me money." The "guarantee" was why I initially chose this company, and I asked several times if the heat treatment would be repeated if the initial treatment did not eliminate the problem, and I was assured that it would be. I had read about companies who did not offer a guarantee or who did not honor their guarantee and I wanted to avoid that. However, customers beware... if bites continue and they cannot find the bugs, they will not repeat the heat treatment which is the very unethical behavior I had sought to avoid. Repeated K9 inspections, a few baitless traps, and a spray which rarely does anything to bed bugs does not constitute "above and beyond" no matter what they tell you. That requires completing the treatment contracted for and solving the problem. Lip service and stonewalling do not solve anything and do not qualify as "above and beyond". In my lifetime, I have never had a worse experience with a company. I believe in treating others as you would want to be treated. A business that does not honor and complete its obligation to its customer should not be in business and should not be patronized by a knowledgeable public. Also, management told me that the state would not allow them to reheat unless a bug could be produced. The state official in charge told me directly that their statement was not true. I see Killingsworth ownership and management as dishonest and unethical in this case. I like to believe that most people eventually do what is right. I hate to focus on the negative in any situation. However, as the bites have never stopped and have increased as of late, I feel I need to inform those who might consider contracting for their bed bug treatment. While some customers may have been treated successfully and treated fairly, my experience speaks for itself and is a strong warning to others. At this time, I do not know if my experience is one of incompetence, negligence, or both. Either way, I have found Killingsworth management to be untrustworthy as they have refused to complete the job they were hired to do. If you are looking for an exterminator service that displays honesty, ethical conduct, competence, treats customers with appropriate respect, and honors its commitments, I wish you luck in your search. Killingsworth has not lived up to these standards in my experience.

    I have been a customer of Bugg Busters Inc. for 15 years. I met the owner Gary Ward at one of my rental homes on the first visit. He was honest and told me that nothing was needed at the home in the area of Termite work. I started using Bugg Busters after that at all my rentals and at my home. Bugg Busters completed waterproofing at my office in Lincolnton last year. I had water pouring in from the road out front of my office. The Bugg Busters team installed a drain system and treated my building for termites. They also put down plastic to control the moisture. My favorite service they offer is the EZ Breathe which is a house ventilation system. No more bad odors from my dogs or from that crawl space. I have the Ez Breathe at my home, office and my mothers house. I will continue to use this company for years to come.

    I have been using Dixie Love Bug for over a year now. Since the first initial visit they have always gone above and beyond what I expected. Very prompt and great customer service. Very thorough, they don't just rush through the job. They take care of the little things that need to be handled. They even cemented up a hole at my dryer vent.. I would highly recommend them.

    Called the provider several times.  No answer.  Finally called a secondary number and could not get in contact.  He called me back one time and said he had been having family problems and would service my home the following week, which he did not.  I calle dback a few additional times and never heard anything back.  I never got the service.
