    I���ll be the first to admit that I haven���t been the best at getting my teeth cleaned. The truth is, I haven���t had my teeth cleaned since 2014, which was pointed out to me several times today, but we can talk more about that later. Yes, I know, it���s awful. I can tell you that kids, work, life and the fact that you have to schedule 6 months in advance is the reason. Although, it is part of the reason, ultimately it is my fault, my responsibility, my teeth. I have no trouble getting my three daughters to the dentist, but I definitely dropped the ball on my own dental health. With all that being said, I noticed a bump on the roof of my mouth, about a year ago. I thought maybe I had burnt it or injured it and kept hoping it would go away. It didn���t. I already have a bony area on the roof of my mouth, but this was definitely new. I knew I needed to have it checked out, but I dread going to the dentist. Plus, I didn���t want to be judged for not having my teeth cleaned. So, I kept putting it off. The bump didn���t go away. Then a few weeks ago, I noticed a bump on the bottom part of my gum. Now, I was really starting to worry. The fact that I am a Registered Nurse didn���t help the matter either. I have a tendency to diagnose myself with the worse diseases possible. My husband convinced me to go the dentist. He even called and made the appointment for me. I just couldn���t do it, I was too scared. I was super happy that they were able to get me in within a week. But, they did give the disclaimer that I could not get a cleaning because I would have to make a separate appointment for that in 6 months (business is good). So, the day arrived and I packed up my kids and asked my husband to drive because in my mind I was going to get bad news. I thought it would be best to have my support system with me. I didn���t have to wait more than 5 minutes in the lobby. The receptionist was very friendly. The dental assistant, who never introduced herself, came to get me. I now know her name is Sherry (I saw it on her wall and we called and asked afterwards). I tried to make small talk, she answered me, but wasn���t super friendly. That is fine, I wasn���t really expecting for us to become best friends, but a smile at least once during the visit would have been appreciated. Plus, I think just being friendly to a patient makes them feel like you care, it most definitely would have put me at ease. But, no smiles, no laughter, we hopped right to it. The why are you here from her. The I have a couple of new bumps in my mouth that I am concerned about from me. She continued to be short with me. But, maybe she was upset that I was an add on patient or maybe she was having a bad day. I was just feeling very uncomfortable. Then she leaves the room. A few minutes later, she walks back to the door, not in the room, still in the hallway and asks me the dreaded question, ���Have you not been here since 2014?��� I smiled and said, ���No.��� Then she asks, ���Have you not had your teeth cleaned anywhere or just not here?��� I said, ���I haven���t had them cleaned.��� And as if her condescending tone wasn���t enough to make me want to climb under the chair and hide, she Smirked at me. Yes, she Smirked at me. I wasn���t sure what to do, so I just gave her a shrug and grin. She just turned and walked off. I have honestly never felt so judged. It���s one thing to not be friendly or nice to me, but to make me feel so embarrassed or bad about not getting my teeth cleaned was too much for me. Facial expressions can say it all. Next, Dr. Wilson comes in. I showed him my problem. He was dismissive with me. He wasn���t rude to me like Sherry, but he just said he didn���t see anything. That���s good news, right? I���ve been worried for a year and it���s nothing. But, it���s more than that. He didn���t say it wasn���t anything to worry about. He said nothing was there. The sore spot on the roof of my mouth, he said is not there. Maybe it���s completely fine, maybe it is nothing to worry about, but something is there, something has changed. Don���t be so dismissive. Acknowledge and explain, never dismiss a patient. Dr. Wilson walked out of the room. Sherry just stood there. She said nothing. I wasn���t sure what to do, so I just took the paper towel off my neck and handed it to her. She didn���t say thank you, bye, or go to check out. She said absolutely nothing. She was just standing there. I eventually stood up, walked out of the room and found my way to the lobby. I can���t ever remember being treated so poorly at a healthcare facility in my life. They made me feel about 2 inches tall. I felt like they were bothered by me. It appeared as if I were wasting their time. Although, they will still bill my insurance and me. They were not seeing me for free. We all know the saying, ���They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel.��� That is so true. I will never forget how they made me feel today. I do not recommend this place for friendly, professional, caring service. If you have been slack on your teeth cleanings and worry about being judged, I would not recommend this place. Life happens and a smile goes a long way. This has been my husband's dentist for 25 years. We called the office and told them what happened. They never called to apologize or even talk about the situation.

    He is a great dentist, well worth the drive. He is a very realistic man and never prescribes any unnecessary treatments. His treatments are very effective, and he never stops until he has fixed the problem. The technology in the office is very up to date, even if the decor is not.

    I went to Dr. Hendrick after a horrible experience with Affordable Dentures. My initial visit was for a consultation because the dentures made by Affordable Dentures fit SO POORLY that I could barely eat. I consulted another dentist whom refused to make any adjustments and would only make new plates for $3000, which I didn't have! Dr.Hendrick immeadiately adjusted them so they were MUCH more comfortable and I was able to eat, and only charged me the consultaion fee. Since then I have had mini implants put in both top and bottom. The staff has been amazing. Their first concern is their paitent's comfort. My last procedure was done right before the weekend but they stayed in contact with me to make sure I was ok. They even offered to come into the office over the weekend if I was having any pain or if I needed any adjustements. I have NEVER had a dentist do that!!! They have worked with me on the charges by streching out the procedures so I could pay in steps and helped me with their different payment options. I can't say enough about Dr. Hendrick and his staff...THEY ARE GREAT!!!!!!!!!

    I like everything.  He is very maticulous.  He is gentle and cares about your comfort.  I've had 10 crowns done over the years, and he has always done a fantastic job of control my pain.  He does an excellent job.  I have recommended him to several of my friends.
