Shane was quick to respond to my inquiry and got back to me in a very timely manner to schedule the services I need. Dusty was the gentleman that came out to perform the work and he was incredibly professional- following COVID protocols by wearing a mask and staying 6ft away. He was friendly and efficient. Finishing up everything I needed in a timely manner. And he fixed everything right the first time- I am confident that I’m not going to have to hire someone else In a few months to fix what was supposed to already been done. I am so happy with Eager Beaver that I am getting more estimates for other projects I need completed. This is by far the best handyman service in the greater Charlotte area. We quoted several, and while the pricing was competitive, this company was the most responsive and easy to deal with. They were straightforward with pricing and options. The employee who performed the work was professional, very understanding of our dog and very quiet completing the work around our newborn and autistic son. The work was done professionally and he cleaned everything prior to leaving. I would highly recommend their services. ASteves SolutionsI talked with many contractors and Steve was the only one who helped me get an engineer to make sure everything was done to code. He framed out a very difficult job which required cutting into a steel beam and a helical pier because the ground was too soft. He expanded laundry and bath area to provide for walk-in closet and full bath. He feathered out the wall to hide the plumbing pipes that could not be concealed. He was clean and orderly although dealing with inspections was rough and messed up our schedules and plans often. His people were very smart when it comes to plumbing and electrical and they provided advice to the licensed contractors when said contractors said things could not be done which helped me immensely. I purchased all tile, flooring, lighting, and plumbing fixtures and products separately.- Venus S.

ABlinds put in great. So far the shelf she rebuilt has not broken and appears much more sturdy since the shody job some other person who initially built the shelf and it broke on me. Price a little high but she was able to accommodate me on same day request. I will be hiring her again definitely soon so that things are completed correctly around my new house.

DOriginally the job was to fish a new HDMI cord through the wall, hang a ceiling fan, and mount a TV over the fireplace (quoted $150). The scheduled time of service was changed multiple times on their end. Upon arrival and inspection, all that could be done at the time was reposition the mount that was already on the wall. My tools were used because the tools they had were inadequate, and they were on a time constraint needing to leave by a certain time. Then, I was charged $100.....to unscrew and rescrew something into a wall. After speaking with the owner, he assured I'd be refunded money to make it right. Understanding and appreciated. Only, how convenient that the owner is no longer returning my messages? Lack of communication and lack of professionalism in my opinion - I'm all for paying for the services I receive but fully feel I was taken advantage of.

FAs seems to be typical with handymen, his timeline took a lot longer than originally stated (beginning of June and finished August 4, 2020). He often needed emails and texts to set up times to return to work. I acknowledge I did not give him any written plans but I was specific about what I wanted. I stated I wanted a French door ( a double door) with mostly windows because closing off the entryway would make the front hallway dark. While I worked in the other room, he framed out the added wall and cut out only a single door. In addition, the wall did not match up with the ceiling above it. It started out flush but then stuck out about an 1.3 inch when it reached the other wall. I have pictures. He claimed he needed to move it over so he would not block the electrical outlet (was a light switch, which he moved). He ended up covering half the electrical outlet with the wall and placed trim pieces above and below it. He says that it is up to code. I have pictures. I wrote an email citing my concerns on July 28th - he had cut out the wrong doorway and the wall was not properly aligned. He did not respond to it until I texted him on August 2nd, after 8pm. He acknowledged he had not read the email. He texted he could not return the door without a restocking fee and he would add trim to cover the misalignment. The front hallway has an elevated ceiling so while adding trim was a fix, aesthetically it does not work as well. He came on August 4th and spoke at length about the dust created if he used sheet mud and it would require another day. Since I needed it done before school started, I agreed to do the trim. Before he left, I discussed that I was not happy with his timeline and the work was not what I had stated. He left. I then took pictures and noted additional concerns like the baseboard and trim not matching up on both the left and right sides (noticeable gaps). The trim cut out for the electrical outlet which was partially covered by wall - the top trim is cut straight and the bottom piece is cut at an angle, both with the exposed wood shown. I have pictures. Other work he did - installing a pet door and an insta hot went well, though took longer to complete than I would have liked. That work I would rate him a B.
