APiedmont Property SolutionsIt went amazing! I can’t say enough about Piedmont Property Solutions! They are a Godsend. We purchased a house in NC and decided at the last minute that we did not want to live with popcorn ceilings, the color of paint, the master bedroom, floor, tub, shower and vanity. Bottom line, we wanted a remodeled bathroom, popcorn ceilings removed and the house painted before we moved in. I was referred to John Vernon during the first week of August by someone doing some other work for me. We talked over the phone as I was in Maryland to provide an idea of what I wanted and we met on 8/24/18 at my home in Yadkinville. I was surprised to receive an estimate early on Saturday morning 8/25. I was impressed and managed to contact the real estate agent and the previous owner and John arranged to meet them to pick up a key to have access to the house. This is what blew me away: Piedmont Property Solutions had a crew in the house Sunday. When I arrived on 9/1/18 and the trucks came in with all of the furniture on Sun 9/2/18 - all of the popcorn ceilings were gone, the house was painted, the bathroom demo was done and the tile work had begun. Today as I now sit in the house 9/10/18 - all of the painting is done, the popcorn ceilings are gone, the vanity and toilet is in, the shower has been tiled and the new tub is enroute. It was great to be able to have all of this done before furniture came in. I took it one step further and asked if Piedmont Property Solutions could squeeze in a white wash of the brick on the entire fireplace before we returned from closing on the 7th and wow! It was done! What am I saying: if you want a company who will go the extra 5 miles, a company you can trust, a company that follows through, has a sense of quality and professionalism, reachable, creative and flexible: I would highly recommend Piedmont Property Solutions. I am having them now provide an estimate to finish the basement (floors, bathroom, ceilings, French doors, electric and so much more). Suffice it to say, I am grateful and completely satisfied with the work. I felt comfortable enough to allow John to apply his creative hand to the process. This has been a very positive process. I will write more once I am sitting in the soaking tub, listening to some nice music, candles burning and enjoying my new bathroom. Unbelievable???? I appreciate John and his crew for coming through when we really needed it.- Bonnie W.

AHome-Aid Home RepairMike is very responsive, easy to reach and returns calls and emails promptly, this is very rare in the home improvement industry. As an interior designer I have worked with many contractors and very few I'd hire twice. Mike is a keeper. He is always on time and fully equipped to tackle the job. He can take care of larger projects or take care of all the little nuisance jobs that no one else is willing to come out for. His charges are reasonable and he is easy to work with. I highly recommend Mike Hood and Home-Aid Home Repair for your home improvement and repair needs. He also connected me with a top notch roofing contractor for work that he doesn't do. AFLD Handyman ServicesTom Faulkner, the owner has been a pleasure to work with. Always on time, and ready to get things done. Great input and ideas. He is fast and competent in all the jobs we have tackled so far. Tom is pleasant and patient with me when I'm learning and have no idea what I'm doing. So far we have accomplished a lot in the month of "two days" he has worked. I couldn't be more pleased at his professional demeanor and attitude about the job and look forward to continuing our work. We have moved and installed windows, put up insulation and sheathing and dry wall, installed electric for ceiling fixtures, designed and built a simple outside storage system for materials and kayaks already. Tom does whatever is needed at the time even if that is sweeping the floor or moving boxes. Honestly, I was worried that I might get some macho guy that would get a kick out of telling me what to do.......so I was very glad to have Angie's list to refer to and read what others said. AMatt Phillips and his team did an amazing job on several projects we had. They encapsulated our crawlspace, installed a dehumidifier (provided wireless humidity monitor), installed a bath fan, replaced an old can light, and added insulation to our attic and bonus room knee walls. Their workmanship is top notch and their pricing was competitive. The team was professional and detailed oriented. I especially liked working with Matt Phillips, he was very patient, and answered all of my questions while providing me honest feedback on some items and even guidance on other projects that his team were not going to tackle for us. He is just a stand up guy who genuinely cares about his customers and ensuring they are taken care of, before, during and after the project is done. CAll of their people were very nice. They installed a generator without coming out to the house once.!!!! How is that possible? They subbed out all of the work to independent contractors. Gas hook up was one company, generator delivered by a second company, and electric hook up was done by a third company. Not once did a Canter representative come to the house to check on the installation or installation progress. Very difficult to reach Canter people who work at the company to ask questions. Canter representatives had no idea what was going on at the job site. One time they called to tell me that the electricians had finished with my job, two days prior, but in fact they were still at the house. Not what I expected!
