ABURNETTE HEATING & ACI would give this man more stars if I could. Words can not describe the professionalism and the dedication of this company. We arrived home very late after our daughter’s birthday and found our air to not be working. We have two very small children and arrived to our home temperature at 9pm to 87 degrees inside. I quickly called many air conditioning companies and the only person to answer was this company. Him and his wife were sleeping considering how late it was. This gentleman woke up and helped fix our Air conditioning. Because of this companies dedication and Professionalism Our children will not sleep hot tonight. I would highly recommend this company and from now on use this company in the future for all of our heating and cooling problems.- Ashley V.

Here is my story. I live in NC but have an elderly aunt who is battling cancer in Portsmouth, VA. She has dealt with another local company, R S Andrew's, for 15 years and has paid monthly to be on their service plan and part of their loyalty program. They put in a new HVAC system three years ago but have not serviced it since last winter even though she has the service contract. Her AC stopped working on a Tuesday night about 7pm during a heat wave. She called R S Andrew's after hours and was told they could not get there until Saturday. I called R S Andrew's the next day and explained she has a medical condition and I was not sure they were aware. They told me they were aware and Saturday was the best they could do. I immediately thought of Angie's list and found EL Sawyer and read the reviews. Called Thursday morning at 8:30am, Joe, the owner, answered the phone and I explained the situation. He jumped to help. He indicated he was extremely busy with the heat wave but given the issue he would send someone in the next two hours. His employee was there and had the clogged drain line fixed before 12pm. The drain line would not have been an issue if R S Andrew's had serviced the HVAC per the service agreement. Bottom line. Joe and his children who help run this family owned business were a GODSEND!!!! This is who one should contact FIRST!!! We plan to move the service contract to them. Obviously, they come running in case of an emergency even to those who are not current customers. They charged a very reasonable fee given the circumstances and speed they delivered. I could not be more pleased. JOE AND FAMILY....WELL DONE!!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!! GOD BLESS YOU AND YOU'RE FAMILY. He arrived at 10:30am. Performed diagnostic check and replaced the capacitor. He was very professional and efficient. We appreciated the promptness and great service provided. AAwesome, stress free experience. Royce and his partner Jake (?) were outstanding. When our truck load was 160 lbs over the truck's weight limit of 8,500 lbs, they removed their spare tools and equipment and drove the 890 miles with no more than 1/2 their fuel load to stay underweight. Nothing damaged and they were so helpful in getting all our furniture and boxes into the right places. Protected walls and floors and disassembled and reassembled beds and tables without issues. Outstanding and would hire them again. Thank you!

AI've never had my ducts cleaned so wasn't sure what to expect. Seemed like a fairly straightforward cleaning. Technician made some decent recommendations and pointed out a few issues with the system. He pulled a bunch of lint out of our dryer vent so I'm looking forward to a more efficient dryer as well. Would recommend to others.
