AGray Carpentry ServicesFantastic. Darrell made me feel great about it. We went with a more high quality wood and it was worth it! Job took two days once the wood arrived. Looks spectacular. Tubular, even. All in all great stuff. Fun guy. Give him a call.- Dylan M.

AShamusAnother great job. Highly recommend him. Shamus was there when promised, worked consistently, clean, neat, quality work at a very fair price. His skill and patience reversing the refrigerator doors was amazing. I'm very happy I didn't try reversing those doors myself.- Anthony D.

AMike Fusco BuilderWorking with Mike was a wonderful experience. We communicated weekly for months during the construction of my home. At the time, I was living in another state and had full confidence that my home would be a superior project under Mike's guidance and direction. Eleven years later my home is still standing. Individuals who visit my residence marvel at the construction, details and features that mark Mike's gifted abilities. Most importantly, Mike is an honest man and a person of integrity. In an industry where many builders produce a inferior product or "cut corners", Mike did not subscribe to those devious business practices. Mike was entrusted with the biggest financial investment I had ever made while I lived in another state. Some individuals thought I foolish to place so much trust in this contractor. I however was not disappointed at the results. In fact he exceeded my expectations. Eleven years later a relationship that began as a business arrangement evolved into a family friend.- Talia D.

AMike Fusco BuilderMike Fusco is an excellent builder and contractor. He built a house for me and a house for my daughter immediately afterwards. Mike was the ultimate professional. He was thorough and conscientious and demanded good work from his workers. Additional, he did his best to make sure that the job was done within budget without cutting corners. I would recommend Mike to anyone who needed a good builder.- Locksley D.

AShamusExcellent. Used Shamus' business several times during the process of self building a house. He always arrived prepared with the tools needed and an obvious thought out plan regarding the work to be performed . He was both knowledgeable and efficient and performed top quality workmanship including metal siding install, window install, basic plumbing, stair railing in home, deck building, tongue and groove wood ceiling, and outdoor railing at end of deck. His work was worth every penny paid. Alan Frederick Franklin, NC- Alan F.

ATriangle Classic Homes IncBuilding our farm, which included a barn and new home, with Carl and Ralph was one of the best experiences of our lives! Every trades person performed their work with great skill, professionalism, and efficiency. We've never seen such a clean jobsite throughout the project. Carl and Ralph respond immediately to phone calls, texts, and emails. They met every request and often went above and beyond. We do not have one complaint about this experience. This farm is superbly built with high quality craftsmanship. We highly recommend Triangle Classic Homes, and wish we had another house to build with them!!!- Barbara H.

AJohnny R Powell Construction Co LLCI first found Johnny when our stone exterior wall leaked and rotted out the entire front wall of our home. Few people were interested in a small ($8k) stone job in our small but booming area. Johnny went up the next day and came up with a plan to remove as little as possible, saving us about $5k. At the same time, we had an internal supply line leak 30k gallons of water from the 3rd floor, completely devastating the entire home. Fortunately, Johnny was already up there and jumped on it right away. He doesn't make a big deal out of things and thinks creatively to find solutions to save time and cost. His crew was a nice group of guys and we got the entire place remediated and restored in under 3 months. He communicated frequently and was very responsive. Super nice guy. I don't know what we'd have done without him.- Kristin J.

AGeo Home repairsWork was excellent, completed on time. In the past Geo has completed other work for me including building a small barn and installing kitchen cabinets. All work done was excellent.- Richard L.

DCreative Backyard ConceptsOver promised, under delivered. Work not up to code, takes too many shortcuts, used interior screws for deck boards. Always has a excuse or blames someone else. When confronted about his lies, and unsafe work, gets all upset and disappears. Don't give this guy a dime until job is complete and inspected. Creative Backyard Concepts has relocated to Franklin NC from Texas. This is for work done in North Carolina.- Steve B.

FNever happened: Mother payed deposit of almost $500 and just over 2 months later, still getting jerked around as to why its not even SCHEDULED yet. Mr Lands is quoted as saying "you're not getting your money back" even though the contract clearly states there is a 15% cancellation fee, "do what you gotta do" is in regards to my mother trying to get her money refunded, and "you're not a priority" is in regards to my mother asking why jobs ordered after her are getting done before hers is even scheduled. Very unprofessional and just good old fashioned robbery in my book. Please look elsewhere. Just an fyi, this place is the same place as Total Home Center on 40/42. Don't know why it's not listed as such....

FVery responsive to come out ainitially and access damage and get fixed as all was paid for by insurance. They also agreed to installing a skylight where the tree came thru (there was not a skylight before). It was installed well and has never leaked. That's all the good news I have folks. HOWEVER we had 'total replacement to original status' insurance coverage and first go around all they were going to do was patch damaged areas of roof. matching tiles "as best they can". After much bickering back and forth, they finally replaced entire roof. 3 times. yes, three times as the first 2 times work was substandard- and eaked. They did not overlap roof tiles and did not flash properly. When insurance overseer finally agreed to redo entire roof to "original" with a 30 year guarantee, she was subsequently fired by the insurance company after the job was done. Inside the house, the subcontractor they hired to fix our wall and ceiling was horrendous. "Johnny" from Mississippi put up a wall that was not linear -nit bowed. He said our house was crooked and he could not fix that. There was a good 2 feet crawl space between inside wall and outside house. We insisted he redo it (multiple times.) till he got it straight, finally, He said "the wife" was being too fussy. Then he replaced smooth ceiling with a popcorn ceiling because he said he couldn't fix the drywall plaster lines...now we have the task of taking off the popcorn, replacing the drywall ceiling, and replastering correctly. . We grew weary of him and decided not to have him redo. As for coming "on time", well, we learned that "on time" is a relative term...seems to mean just showing up sometime in the morning. Bottom line: Don't let your insurance company bully you into using this company and certainly do NOT hire them on your own.

FInsulation to help reduce noise from wine bar to upstairs apartments. Months later a leak in the ceiling downstairs showed the entire attic was not insulated. Attempt to contact owner both by phone and mail was unsuccessful. The salesman responded to the call and letter. He was extremely nasty. Never did hear from Hutch, the owner. We lost both tenants in the apartments, never received the energy rebate or reduced utility bills as promised in addition to losing both upstairs tenants.

FA hurricane came through and I used him to do the repair roofing. Now two years later my roof is leaking. He now says he only has a one year warranty and will no longer do the work. My insurance company put up a lot of money for him to fix that roof. I think a roof should last longer than 2 years. My insurance company has already paid for this service and will not pay for it again, so finding someone to fix the roof and paying for it is on me.

AThey were the only company that said they would be there as soon as they finished a job. They came, quoted a reasonable price, left to get supplies, returned and fixed the problem plus other little potential problems he saw on the roof. Make them your first call for a really good handyman. Plus they do power washing and home interior cleaning. Very nice people. Will use again.
