    Dr. Jane Murray
She is personable, thorough, and takes the time to know you, and spends time with you. She does a good job. I have used her for several years now. Once you can get on her calendar, she is on time. For the most part the staff is good, but sometimes they are edgy. She is very thorough.

    University North Carolina
We use UNC. We live right near Chapel hill and UNC is a massive health organization with all kinds of specialists and everything. Once you are in the system you get referral to the experts and we are very pleased with it. It is different all the times, It is a University Hospital. You always see an intern first and once that appointment is through then the doctor comes in and talks to you and confirms things. They are very up-to-date on everything because they are a University. Just for an example, about a year and a half ago, I had surgery on my elbow. I had to have a tendon repaired and fixed. That is normally a 10,000 dollar surgery to slice your elbow open, sew it back up and weeks of therapy. They stuck a needle in it and did it with a needle and put a band aid on my arm and sent me home. The same repair if it were done in any hospital but there are only a hundred doctors in the country who can do it and one of these doctors is here. At least we get cutting edge medicine here. Because you don't see a specific doctor, you can get in quicker. The office environment was nice and they are doing it even nicer. They have a sign up like if it is has been 20 minutes of your appointment and somebody isn't there, they want you to come to the desk. The staff is always very pleasant and helpful. The bedside or the cheer side manner of the doctor is very good. They are interns and they are minding them so they are very concessions to do it right. The scheduling when you get referrals, it seems like it takes forever, within the agency like I saw the sports medicine doctor and then I had to see the surgeon and it seems like forever to get a referral. The prescription renewals sometimes tend to go into the black hole and you have to call. Their systems, I think they are so large that they have trouble. The medical side is wonderful but the administration side can be a bit of a nightmare at times with trying to get prescription renewed or get a referral. Sometimes you have to make a number of calls to make it happen. I will use them again in the future because the medical care is great.

    Carrboro Pediatrics & Internal Medicine
They're very good at connecting with you on a human level. They're very good with educating you on how to stay healthy. Scheduling wasn't a problem at all. Other providers had six-week appointment turn around times. Lab result communication and appointment reminders are clear. The staff is great and they even have weekend and evening call hours.

    Bergdolt, Dr. Barbara
She is very nice, and she has a good bedside manner. I don't feel rushed when I am with her, and she is pretty thorough. She listens to your questions, and tries to come up with answers, and gives your resources. The treatments have worked out good.

    UNC Family Medicine Center
I've been using UNC Family Medicine for my primary care needs since moving the the area in 2010. Overall the staff is very professional. The reception area has always been busy when I check in for an appointment, but the staff is typically courteous and efficient. The nurse usually comes to get me in the waiting area within 5 minutes of my scheduled appointment, but one time I did have to wait about 15 minutes.
UNC Family Medicine sets aside appointment blocks for acute care needs so that the one time I needed to see them about a sinus infection I was able to schedule an appointment within 2 hours of my phone call.
My only real complaint is with the responsiveness of their travel medicine group, which doesn't work by appointments. Instead, the receptionist contacts the group with your information and a nurse or physician is supposed to contact you by phone. It took 4 calls to the receptionist over 4 weeks before someone contacted us. Once the initial contact was made things went smoothly and we were satisfied with their counsel and recommendations.
Despite the travel medicine group, we are extremely satisfied with the UNC Family Medicine and I highly recommend them.

    Pittsboro Family Medicine
An acquaintance recommended Dr. Corey from Pittsboro Family Medicine. I made an appointment to visit him and transfer my medical records to the office. I was very impressed with Dr. Corey; he listened carefully, and spent as much time with me as I needed.
A few months later, I was very ill and asked for an appointment with whomever was available. I was able to get an appointment that same day with Dr. Burgert. He was very caring and understanding, as well as a good listener. A while later, when I was still having symptoms, I saw him again. He remembered my situation and proceeded to treat my illness aggressively.
I am very pleased with both doctors that I met, as well as all of the staff.

    Pittsboro Family Medicine
My entire family goes to Pittsboro Family Medicine. We normally see Dr. Burgert and I recommend this practice to anyone who needs primary care for their entire family. The doctors and staff are very courteous and accommodating. I also like it because they are conveniently located close to my home and work near the circle in downtown Pittsboro. Plus, they offer Sat. appointments.
Doctors, nurses and tech staff are very knowledgeable and they listen. My husband who is normally hesitant about going to doctors likes seeing Dr. Burgert. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a primary care physician for their entire family medical care.

    Garlick, Dr. William L.
Bill Garlick is a fine man and excellent physician. He is knowledgable, flexible, cooperative, caring, and all other good things. My wife and I have gone to him as our primary physician for ten years. We could not think more highly of him.

    Pittsboro Family Medicine
When I had been there many years ago I remember the office manager there was very harsh. The rest of the staff was friendly. The doctor that day told me that I needed exercise as I was short tempered. When I tried to contact them last summer due to high fever and I called them for an appointment, the person told me that I needed to call later to take an appointments for the next day. I called the doctor, and he told me that if youre a first timer in the clinic then it would take a week to get to see the doctor and that is the way it is always there. Though I knew the physician, I could not see him that day. I had a bad experience with them. They do a pretty good job on billing.

His office staff is very responsive and always manages to squeeze us in for unexpected injuries/illnesses. Dr. Garlick (and the other doctor who occasionally fills in for him) are always professional, yet friendly, and very capable. I have complete confidence in his treatment.
