    Paint One Inc
We couldn't be more pleased with the work done by Paint One. We met with the Project Manager, Dwayne, who gave a thorough explanation of what they would do and supplied us with a detailed breakdown. We went with Paint One because we were impressed with his knowledge and presentation and the Angie's List reviews. The three man crew was polite, professional, very hard-working and efficient and they left the site clean at the end of the day. Elvis did a great job on some difficult carpentry work involving several rotted boards. Dwayne came out periodically to check on the progress and encouraged us to contact him anytime with any questions or comments. He kept a close tab on the project and went over everything thoroughly to ensure that we were completely satisfied. In addition, he made some good suggestions along the way, but we never felt any pressure. The house was properly prepped and caulked, the painting was neat and crisp and they came every day until the job was done. A final bonus was having the exterior windows washed as well. We will be using Paint One again for our future painting needs.

    Mountain View Siding
When trying to schedule, Mr. Guthke was very hard to get a hold of to pin down exactly when they would start the job.  He stated that we were 3-4 weeks out.  Kept using the weather as an excuse for scheduling.  At the end the of second week, he stated that we were a couple weeks out - (communication short and by email).  After four weeks, ... plus...
Then finally we stated that we needed to know what day they would start.  He replied Wednesday.  On Monday night Mr Guthke sent an email at 8pm stating they would be there in the morning at 8am.  We had to scramble to be able to meet them andwas lucky to see his last minute email.
During the first day, it was apparent they did not know what they were doing - they were using 2 1/2" drywall screws to attach the J channel and siding.  I immediately put a stop to that and provided the correct screws for the job.  Additional issues came up to which I called Mr Guthke (He does not do the actual work - he either subcontracts or hires Mexican laborers to do the actual work).  Mr Guthke did not return my phone calls and the work continued.  They established there own 'level' line and made the bottom row of siding not straight....
Mr Guthke sent me a bill - to which I immediately objected.  He had charged more labor and materials than what was used on my job.  I also pointed out a punch list of items that remained to be done... re-attach downspouts, missing pieces of siding, holes too big to chaulk, crooked cuts, not trimmed correctly.  I told him he would be paid when the job was done correctly.
He went back to correct the invoice and took excess materials with him.  He adjusted only about $300 worth of materials and stated the rest was used on my job.  I immediately again told him this was not the case.  I am an Engineer - but basic math skills can tell you that 167 sq feet does not require 400 sq ft of material that he insists was needed since the scrap rate is very high...
He then started calling 3-4 times a day demanding payment.  Then threatened to turn it over to his lawyer...
