    4th Generation Landscaping & Design
I explained to 4th Generation why I needed the work done in a timely fashion. They did a fantastic job and took to heart that I needed the work done quickly. The quality of the work was absolutely phenomenal. I loved that the workers got the weeds out of the flower beds and the precision of the trimming was perfect. I plan on using them in the future.

M&M Landscaping & Outdoor Living Designs
The following is a list of issues that I had with M&M Landscaping & Outdoor Living Designs, LLC when I used this company to build a pergola. When M&M Landscaping originally built my pergola they did not provide the same quality materials and craftsmanship that was used to build the pergola of my friend, a previous client of M&M, that was used as a reference. During the original quoting process I told them I wanted exactly what my friends had built (style, materials and craftsmanship) which they didn't do. I hired them based on their recommendation and the work that I personally saw done at my friend's home. From the initial build a large amount of the cross strips were split at the ends from the fasteners being improperly installed. Also, the cross strips were installed in 3 sections where the final section was only about 6" long making it look sloppy and less secure. The main support beam has a huge ridge (defect) that spans its entire length of the board. It's not a structural defect but it is unsightly and should have not been used in such a prominent visual location. In general the quality of the wood was poor, everyone of the 6x6 columns has cracks/splits. The center rafter does not line up with the center column which is a very obvious and unsightly mistake. I was not informed that my concrete patio slab would be altered during the installation. M&M Landscaping destroyed my patio where they cut into it to install the post (columns). Mike Iannacci, the owner of M&M Landscaping, promised that the new concert would blend right in and wouldn't be noticeable. This was not true, the concrete work looks amateur at best and doesn't blend in at all, yet another unsightly part the of the installation. My rain gutter downspout had to be redirected because of installation and M&M Landscaping used materials that caused the gutter to back up and leak and when they repaired it they used parts that didn't match my original gutters. In terms of customer service, Mike Iannacci the owner of M&M Landscaping started out fine. Face to face he seemed personable and even acted like he cared and understood my personal issues with being a quadriplegic and my recovery. M&M Landscaping was recommended by my good friends, so all things considered, I gave them a certain level of trust that I probably shouldn't have. As the process went on, I began to notice that when I brought up issues Mr Iannacci would explain the problems away with excuses and if they did actually come to fix the issue I had to send several reminders/request. This last request to repair all the split and detaching wood went on for 10 months. I sent Mr Iannacci multiple emails about this, the majority of which went unanswered. He claimed he did not receive my emails but it was apparent after our disagreement, about who was responsible for the cost of these repairs, that was not true because he showed me old emails to defend his case for payment. Mr Iannacci was simply making excuses for not responding. Furthermore, he tried to intimidate me with threats of putting a lien on my home, saying he would do what he had to do to get his money, etc. His overall tone was threatening and unprofessional. All that being said I still paid for the repairs because after reading over the old emails I didn't make it clear that I thought Mr Iannacci agreed to take responsibility for the poor materials and installation and do the repairs for free. Over the last 10 months I've sent so many emails and have had discussions with other contractors about the situation (who all thought M&M Landscaping should take care of the repairs), in the process I neglected to clearly communicate my change of heart about paying for the repairs, that I previously asked Mr Iannacci the owner of M&M Landscaping to quote. Again, I've paid the invoice in full but I feel it's my duty to inform people of the issues I encountered with Mike Iannacci and M&M Landscaping & Outdoor Living Designs, LLC.

    Piedmont Outdoor Design
It went very well. They were prompt and professional. They even blew off the sidewalks when they were done. They were a pleasure to work with. I've already made agreements to work with them in the spring.

    Total Yard Renovations
Did a good job of raking leaves in the front yard.  Did not remove a small bush as agreed, did not do any work int he back yard.  Left the site without letting us now they were going, no chance to check the work or remind them to do back yard work.

So I purchased the deal for 3 hours of leaf removal which on this day meant 3 guys for a total of one hour. This was a recently purchased home where the previous owner had not kept the back yard up for several years. They showed up 30 minutes early and had 90 percent of the work done in an hour. I paid an additional $45 for 30 extra minutes and everything was completed including well over 40 bags of leaves stacked neatly. The company offers many services including landscape design, pressure washing, maintenance, etc., so I would definitely use them again.

Secure Turf - Charlotte Landscaping Experts
I called on Monday to get a quote on having my front lawn graded after having three large trees removed.  I was told that they would check some calendars and call me right back.  Its Wednesday evening and no call back yet.

    Eden Lawns
Luke and crew arrived on time and began cutting down the 8 overgrown boxwoods (each about 7 feet tall). After much digging and chopping, they were able to remove each root ball and prepare the area for the new plantings. They purchased and planted 8 new shrubs and arranged pine needles around the area. They also removed lower branches from a large oak tee in the front yard plus several low limbs from other trees in the side and back yards. All in all, it was a nearly complete re-do of our yard

I will not let a day go by that I will not tell someone not to ever use them.  I have had to replant my yard several times where they scalped my yard.
I have had to have the window replaced because they do not respond to the problems that they cause.

    Hall's Lawn Care L.L.C.
I have used Hall's Lawn Care for the past 3-4 years.Prior to signing annual contract with him , I had been using a "name brand" lawn service and was having concerns about my lawn. I had contacted the other company to get someone out to discuss my service.  I did not get any sort of response.I actually saw Hall's doing work at a neighbor's so I walked over and asked for someone to contact me re: my lawn.  Within an hour, David Hall came to my home and we discussed my lawn and what I wanted done.  I did a recap of what I had been paying 2  others for doing  certain yard work. David gave me a price for everything I had been paying others  and his price was just about total of what I had been paying.
I have 2 dogs, 1  large shepherd(85-90#) and a small terrier (9 #) and I do keep them inside when the men are here doing yard work. I am extremely pleased with the way my lawn is looking.  David is very willing to work with me when I have   projects that I want done.
This year he trimmed shrubs, spread pine needles and worked diligently in fixing certain bare areas in my yard. If you have dogs, you know what I mean. He also installed large railway ties around my fence . He always gives me a
proposal on anything above & beyond what is on the contract. He is always willing to work with me on any project.
I am pleased that I can depend on David for all my lawn needs.  And his pricing  is always very reasonable.  He cares about his work and that means a lot to me.
My lawn has never looked better.

I had no contact with the company after purchasing a deal from Angie's List and came home one day to a notice that he had been there and performed the service while I was not home.  I can't say my grass benefited from the service.
