One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning
It went very well. Their service is prompt, thorough, friendly, honest and very professional. I needed to replace one of my AC/Heating units today. I've dealt with 1 Hour at my previous home, replaced both units there several years ago. Already I have replaced one of my Heat & Air units at my new location last year and have just contracted to have the other unit replaced here next week. The service engineer didn't pressure me to buy a new one but the explained the condition of the unit. I already knew from last year's checkup that it would need replacing but wanted to get one more year before I to a new one. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

    A Plus Heating & Cooling
Well, before leaving the house, the repairman SHOCKED me with a bill for $281.00 for his 40 minute visit. The $63.00 diagnosis wasn't what bothered me. BUT his charge of $160.00 for a breaker that you can purchase for $8.98 at Home Depot (see my photo) was OUTRAGEOUS! PLUS a charge of $37.00 to pop it in the fuse box (WHILE HE WAS THERE ANYWAY) (see my other photo, a copy of the invoice I was left). I told the technician that this was an outrageous charge, to which he agreed but said he could not do anything about it... As you can see I wrote "UNDER PROTEST" on the invoice and only paid $200.00 telling him I was going to his office to complain to the owner, later in the day, which I did. Of course when I arrived there the owners were nowhere around, but I did receive a call the next day from the billing clerk explaining to me that this was indeed a "mistake" and I was overcharged by $100.00 due to the tech using a "new" price book that was incorrect......... REALLY ???... IS THIS COMMON PRACTICE FROM THIS COMPANY?? Are we to believe that the Tech really did NOT KNOW he was overcharging more than $100.00 for a single FUSE ?? And when questioned, he did NOT realize a "mistake" was made ?? YOU decide before ever calling this company if YOU want to take that chance..From this experience, I have to believe that this is a common trade practice and this company routinely preys upon its older, more vulnerable clients by overcharging as much and for as long as it can get away with. Be very careful here. Sorry, but A+ gets an F

One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning
Excellent. The technician explained everything to me,offered me upgrades to prolong the life of my heat pump, and actually did a complete cleaning of the entire system. If your looking for cheap work don't call them. If your looking for a professional company ,the pride they take in there work is nothing less than staggering.

72 Degrees Heating & Air Conditioning
Their technicians arrived on time, were very courteous, and highly professional.  They answered any questions we had, and did a great job of installing our HVAC unit.  They also did a great job of keeping the area clean.  We definitely would use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs to replace their HVAC equipment.

Had a problem with my HVAC called my service man he told me that the unit was short and needed to be  replaced. Gave me a price of $8,000  and could do it next week. Called me another service  agent in the area and he gave me a price for the same unit and he came in at $6,500. and he could do it next week.   CALLED ONE HOUR  AIR CONDITIONING THE SAME UNIT CAME IN $5,400 AND THEY COULD DO IT NEXT DAY. THEY CALLED BEFORE ARRIVING , INSTALLED  THE UNIT AND WAS DONE IN LESS THAN FIVE HOURS.
THE FOLLOWING WEEK I HAD MY UPSTAIRS HVAC UNIT TESTED IT FAILED SO I  CALLED  ONE HOUR, THEY WERE THERE IN ONE HOUR, GAVE ME A PRICE, AND THE  NEXT DAY INSTALLED THE NEW UNIT.
DON'T CALL ANYONE ELSE  BUT ONE HOUR , ALL BUSINESSES SHOULD BE THAT GOOD, THANKS TO TOM DITLZER ,ROGER, WALTER AND THE REST OF THE CREW " GREAT JOB " 10 ++

    ATLANTIC HEATING & COOLING
Mark and his crew arrived promptly, diagnosed and showed us the errors that were causing the problems quickly. The returned the
next day with the needed permit. They reinstalled the units correctly fixing faulty wiring, incorrect breakers, rewiring the new thermostat, moving the outside unit to it's correct distance from the house and reconnecting and testing all lines. I was very happy with their work.

    Sandpiper Heating & Air
This company is great to work with.  They are easy to schedule, and will come out to make things perfect.  The new system they installed was slightly larger than the old one.  They had to come out and redo a pipe because it stuck out past the door frame.  They did this in a timely manner and made sure everything was working perfectly.  444

    Carolina Cooling & Heating
John said he would arrive at 9:30 am and arrived at 12:30 pm. He left around 6:30 pm and called me to say everything was installed and fine. The vacationers?called me the next morning to say the Thermostat was set at 72 degrees but the cottage was at 63 degrees. I called John and he said he would return at 12 noon that??day?to fix any problems. He arrived at 6 pm and stayed until 10 pm. The vacationers had to ask him to leave. He called me to say everything was fine and everything was fixed. The day after he attempted to fix the unit a second time the air handler worked on the inside but the outside unit still did not kick in. My tenants asked me that John not return.? ? I sent a technician out from One Hour Heating?and Air Conditioning to check the work ($49) Also from Angie's list. They did a thorough and excellent diagnostic service.?They explained why it did not work. Disaster- John had installed black flexible pipe through floor that will not meet code. Left enlarged whole in floor, electrical wires to thermostat left exposed with?wire covering on wire chipped open, fire hazard, thermometer put in wall next to heat duck in laundry room, making it hard for the thermometer to give?accurate readings and hard to access instead of in the kitchen where it was before, used wrong breakers on inside and outside, not up to code, used- 60?amp that should have been a 50 ?amp?and 40 amp that should have been a 30 amp, both the inside and outside unit have to be refused, did not encase the coil on top of heat pump as required by code. Hooked up electric wires to air handler,?incorrectly, used relay that is not correct, pulled wires from inside?of the air handler unit to the outside on a brand new unit, did not put sleeve protection on the?wires, ?all wires from inside to outside have to be taken apart and??re-routed correctly, put outside unit on the pad for the old unit, new outside unit is larger than old unit resulting in new unit being only?8 inches from?house instead of state required 18 inches, requiring that the new unit will have to be placed on a?new pad, the refrigerant has to be re-contained and the new unit ?will have to be moved. The outdoor unit, insider unit and thermometer all need to be rewired. I called John and asked him to take everything out and return my money and was told that is not possible. I contacted the supplier of the units: East Coast?Metal Distributors of Myrtle Beach. I spoke to L Jay who had recommended John to me. They said I could not return the units because they are not sure what John has done to them. One Hour Heating and Cooling said they could not guarantee their work unless I replaced the air handler completely. They were not willing to use the air handler that was just installed because they cannot be sure what John had done to the inside wiring. I called two other companies that reported the same diagnostic problems and concerns about the air handler. I finally found Atlantic Heating and Cooling who have agreed to fix all the problems and bring the units up to code and to pass North Carolina Permit inspection.?Atlantic Heating and Cooling completed all work on 2/24/16. I ended up spending $1,100 more than the price that John and I had agreed on. I called John and asked him to pay for the additional $1,100 cost to me due to his errors. He hung up on me. John had 9 A ratings on Angie's List, so I was very disappointed in this result.

    Sandpiper Heating & Air
All of the service people are excellent - thorough, considerate and professional.  They check everything and don't try to sell you something you don't need.  I would say that the only thing they need is more service people!  When we called for our servicing that is included under our plan, they were scheduling for 6 weeks later.  And in all fairness, next year I'll have to remember to call them sooner too!
