Lighting Installation reviews in Oak Island

    Advantage Construction
Our project included a full kitchen remodel, complete flooring replacement, remodel of 3 bathrooms, painting and electrical work. Corky was very professional, cost conscious, punctual and delivered on our requirements. He offered design ideas that improved the remodel. Corky, Mike and the rest of the team are craftsmen, who understand how to solve the problems encountered in a project of this size. They have been a pleasure to work with. The results of the project are outstanding. We look forward to working with Corky and his team in the future and we would highly recommend them to work on any project.

    Coastal Home Renovations
We are extremely pleased with our choice of COASTAL HOME RENOVATIONS! We were not present for some of work, however, found them to be Trustworthy, Tidy, and Proficient. Pavel is very Hard Working and kind. Iwona stays right on top of things! She sent us pictures of progress when we weren't there...SO HELPFUL and REASSURING. I would absolutely hire them again, as well as recommend them to friends.

Porch Conversions are a "one stop" service company. Once we signed a contract, we never had to do anything else. PorchConversion obtained all necessary permits.  Their personnel did, or supervised, all the work. The same fabrication crew was here everyday. They were punctual, consistent, skilled, and extremely professional.  The only subcontractor was electrical; they completed installation of plugs in the new room and spotlights outside the new room.
the work area was cleaned, everyday before they went home. When the new sliding door was installed, plastic sheeting was installed in the house, from floor to ceiling, to contain the dust. This kept the inside of our house dust free.
Porch conversion also sent a photo of the crew chief, beforehand, to "introduce" him so we would know if he was the right person to be here. Kyle came to the door and introduced himself to us and told us what to expect over the coming days.  A couple times, during the project, the "boss" came to do some quality checks and insure all was going well with the job, and make sure we were happy with how everything was going.
the job was basically completed in the agreed upon time frame.  The only delays were weather related, and delays due to building inspector sign offs.

    Bachert Builds
The progress and work completed is on target and excellent.  His prices are competitive.  He goes the extra mile in recommending new fixtures, new appliances, new materials etc including samples, trips to vendors etc.  In terms of trust he says what he means and means what he says.  We would recommend Chester for anyone, especially those with fairly large projects.

    Overall, an excellent experience.

Very professional team, cordial and prompt.

Provided clear explanation of what needed to be done and what they were doing.

    MKC Kitchen & Bath Center
The project went amazing well! From the start we were impressed with the knowledgeable design staff, that asked us questions about not only the things we wanted in our kitchen, but also informed us of the many options and add-ons we would never have thought of. We were able to see 3-D plans of the new kitchen design from every angle and found the staff very patient whenever we decided to make a change in plans. The work was scheduled and started on time. Every day the workers showed up on time and worked professionally throughout the day; cleaning the job site at the end of the day. MKC coordinated all the contractors (drywall, electrician, plumber, flooring, counter) in a timely manner. We are extremely happy with our new kitchen. The cabinets are of the highest quality as is the counter top and flooring. Would gladly recommend MKC to anyone.

    All About Energy Solutions

Chris and his crew were very professional, knowledgeable and courteous.  They were very proficient in the installation of the radiant barrier material.  They were very neat and cleaned up after themselves.  When they left, it looked exactly like they had never been her.

With the changing of the light bulbs with high efficiency LED, there was a dramatic improvement in light, color of the light and energy savings.  The light was much brighter and was very white and not the yellow tint from CFL light bulbs.
Over the years, I have used a number of companies in the energy efficiency business  By far Chris and All About Energy Solutions is the best.  They have great customer services, are very knowledgeable and do not try to sell you things you do not need.  They provided sound recommendations and options, did a great job during installation and stand by their work.  What more can you ask for?  I cannot recommend them enough

Mr. Electric of Brunswick & New Hanover Counties
Called Mr. Electric because several of our friends used them in the past and were very happy with them. They lived up too and exceeded our expectations. They were very curtious, knowledgeable and explained how the were going to proceed with the job from start to finish.
    I highly recommend them!!!!

    Advantage Construction
It did not get a professional job,  I got a shade tree carpenter
remodel.  I still have electrical items that don't work. I have high and
low tile and stone. I haven't yet grouted all the places where grout is missing.
It took me a week to scrape grout off the tile walls.  If I had used a
glossy tile I would not have been able to scrap the grout off at all. I used a
putty knife and a lot of elbow grease.  From what I have been told, if
they had mixed the grout correctly I would not have been able to get it off at
all ? so, mixed blessing.  I have a wall that is bent, things everywhere
are caulked - switch plates, tile, ceiling joints, molding ? caulk everywhere.
The toilet is not centered.  I still have walls I have to repaint and ceiling to touch-up.
There was plaster dust in the first week from one end of my 3800 sq. ft. home to the
other and I have a hall door which separates the two ends of the house.  They left linen
closet and other doors open so I had to remove everything and clean, clean,
clean.  They stored all the work debris and tools on a carpet in the
adjacent room and I have yet to get it fully clean.  The bath door
they installed won?t close properly. They laid the travertine far too early in
the project and then did not clean and seal it nor did they protect it, so it
is filthy.  Travertine can?t be just be washed, the dirt goes into the
stone.  I will have to have it sanded and sealed.  It has to be flat in order for this to
happen ? not high low - so I am not sure what to do.  There are three rooms with
carpets which are supposed to come up against the stone in the hall.  The workers
didn't even attempt to cut the carpets in a straight line and later tried to patch the gaps with
tiny pieces of carpet affixed to nothing.  After they created the problem their advice on fixing
it was to call in a carpet person.  I searched the internet and also talked to professional tile
persons about the methods they were using on the walls and found their method was
ill-advised.  When I approached them with what I found from these many sources
I was told ?they always do it this way?  as if doing the ill-advised all the time, made
it all OK.  Against my pleas they used the cheapest junk materials available.
Doing a job and doing a job well, are two very different things.  I am still going to
have to call in an electrician, a plumber, a carpenter, a stone person and a painter to finish
this project.  Oh, and a carpet man.
This was not the professional job I expected or wanted so I would not use this
    team again.
    They were really nice guys.
It took me a long time to write this review because they were such nice
guys.  If you ignore inferior materials, stepping on uneven stone, and the
caulk everywhere and you don?t look close at the tile or mind the bathroom door
not closing correctly or the heater not working, the amenities look OK, not
great, but OK.  I purchased high end amenities.
