    Coastal Craftsmen LLC
The install went very smoothly and was completed in a matter of 2 days.  The door and exterior work was completed on day 1 and the interior trim was completed on day 2.  Since there was rot under the door frame, they conducted all necessary repairs to ensure the stability and longevity of the door.  All work was completed very professionally, without cutting corners.  I watched the entire process and neither of the carpenters were annoyed with my presence and were able to fully explain what they were doing and why they were doing it.  With the interior trim, we made a last-minute decision to enhance the entryway and they were very accommodating.  The work was superb and made a positive impact on the way we felt about using Coastal Craftsmen, as well as completely changing the feel of our 2-story entryway.  After the second day, I did notice something that needed to be rectified and a carpenter was sent out in a timely manner to correct it.  Overall, the cost of the install was not the cheapest that we were able to find, but the work was completed to the highest standard, making the cost worth it.
We have had several estimates for work to be done by CC, but have not been able to act on them yet.  After seeing some of the shoddy workmanship in the area, we will only allow Coastal Craftsmen to work on our home.

    McClay Custom Homes
Our home had a large unused attic space which we wanted to convert into an additional bedroom. A previous project we had just completed with a very bad contractor had left us rather cautious about who we worked with in the future. So for this bedroom project we solicited numerous quotes and interviewed each contractor. We received quotes ranging between 13K to 24K. We chose McClay Custom Homes due to their professionalism when Bill and his project manager came to evaluate the project and a few days later when they came to personally deliver the quote and explain the project and cost break down. Bill created a very specific and detailed scope of work outlining the entire project, and setting key milestones. We felt very confident with the attention to detail he put on the project before they even started construction. By the time the appropriate permits were filed and construction began, everything fell into place and ran like clockwork. We had no issues from start to finish. The crews that came were very professional and cleaned up after themselves. At the end of every day Bill would update us in person or on the phone about the progress to date and the plan for the next day. We felt very informed as to what was going during the whole project. Any questions or concerns we did have at any time, he quickly addressed.

McClay Custom Homes is a very responsive, professional company to work with. Bill McClay takes great pride in the work his employees perform and it is evident in the quality of the workmanship. Working with Bill has been by far the most pleasant and worry free experience we have had on a project. I highly recommend McClay Custom Homes for anyone that wants the job done on time, on budget, and right the first time. We have no reservations about using them for future projects.

    Highland Construction Inc
We made an apt with an Highland Construction rep for this Friday, Nov 13, 2015 to review our home to access the job details. Over the phone we discussed all the work we needed done.  They also wanted us to agree to sign a contract (along with our home owners insurance) before they come to the estimate apt, which we agreed to do.
Today, Nov 11, 2015 at 4pm we got a call from the rep from Highland Construction informing us that they have decided not to come & give us an estimate or do our home project. The reason they gave was their case load is too heavy for them to come up to our county. When in Angie's List is states they work in our county.
I had scheduled off work for this apt.

They did a wonderful job. It took them about six weeks. They've also done work for me in the past and will be doing some stuff for me in the future. They were easy to work with and easy to get ahold of. The employees were very good. They were respectful and polite.

    Re-Bath of North Carolina
if it is indeed a franchise hopefullyThis was one of the installers recommended by Angie's list. As a member, I tried to keep an open mind about everyone's experiences. Both positive and negative. What some people like others may not and vice versa. However, at the very least I expect a decent level of service from anyone who answers list recommends. I have to say this installer surpassed my lowest expectations for an Angie's list recommended company. We are looking to have a major bath remodeling job which in turn down the road will probably lead to more work as there is much to be done in a  home we bought in North Carolina last year. The bathroom is just the first step I called and set up an appointment with Re-Bath of North Carolina (located in Wilson as I know there are other franchises) my wife made it a point to leave work early and to her surprise and mine they never showed up. We had other estimates come in but as I want to have a clear as choices possible, I took the high road and assume that perhaps something happen ? a sticky note got blown off the desk, something got deleted on the computer, whatever. I called R Bath and spoke to a very nice young lady who apologized beyond profusely and couldn't understand how we could of been missed in their schedule. She told me she had no record of ever calling although as I've only called three people that Angie's list recommended they were the second: I made. At any rate I'm a fairly understanding guy up to the point. We rescheduled for today Monday, July 7. Again, my wife took time off from work, canceled patients that she was scheduled to see late in the day, to be there to meet with the RBath installer/estimator. I think you can see where this is heading ? They decided not to show up a second time. Normally I would contact the company, get a hold of the owner/general manager and let  him or her know exactly how I feel about this level of service in this day and age of competitive work. But, I'm not going to do that because it's obvious to me they just don't give a d*** about customers or good business or the reputation and certainly not  their standing on Angie's list! As someone who's been in the general retail arena including the installation business and home improvement business I hope that you will pass this information on to whoever you deal with at that company. Needless to say I do have some serious questions about the level of research that goes into being a "Angie's list recommended contractor"

    Re-Bath of North Carolina
We had Re-Bath redo our master bath. They removed our Jacuzzi and small stall shower we had and replaced them with a large walk-in shower and linen/towel closet. The men who did the work were efficient and professional. The project was finished in two days. They brought in a licensed plumber to replace the pipes and fixtures and after that the two ReBath guys did everything. They were excellent craftsmen and we are very happy with the result. To save a little, we spackled/painted the drywall that they tore out and replace. We also had our own tile guy come to finish the floor (although ReBath would have done this). The sales representative was extremely courteous and came twice to the house to make certain my wife was happy with her color choices and such.
We couldn't have asked for more and they were significantly cheaper than two competitors who did not do as much.

    C & C Tile And Renovation

The custom shower apparently leaked from the day it was built.  We discovered the trouble as a result of the subfloor swelling and raising vinyl tiles.  C&C remediated all the damage and cleaned up the mold that was quite extensive.  They cleaned up every day prior to leaving and were prompt and courteous.

They helped us correct some squeaking floors and made some suggestions concerning foundation issues that were discovered.

I will use this company again if I ever need work done to our house.  I would recommend them for consideration to do tile and renovation work.  Chris actually sent my wife and I a handwritten thank you note after the work was completed.

This is the best service provider I've had for the past year or ever. They ordered the wooden stairway I requested, picked it up and showed up when they said they would. They carefully removed some tin off the ceiling and put the stairway at the place I requested. They then put the tin on the back of the stairway to match the ceiling. The two men were both friendly and professional. They did an excellent job installing the stairway and put plywood at the top on the sides of the opening as a landing. They also assisted me in pulling the stairway down and putting it back in place to make I understood how to use it properly. They completed the installation in a day. They cleaned up all debris at the end of the day before they left and let me know when they were leaving. I don't have one single negative thing to say as to this project.

    Spectrum Building & Remodeling LLC
Jay is a good person and contractor. There are so slight issues where he had to patch some sheetrock I could see the line but when the lift was installed it covered that part. There is another area where the patching was not the best. I will contact him and he will return. Previous to this he had come over to the house to help me with some minor problems and did not charge me a thing. So overall I am happy with him.

    Jack Bender Construction
Most went well, but when laying subfloor, staple gun did not work well and left some staples raised that are now coming through. Left bubble on floor and said it would go away, did not and now floor has split open. Will probably have to get new floor covering.
