New Hope Painting Drywall & Remodeling LLC
Ariel and his team did a phenomenal job. They were very focused and precise and executed on demolition and remodel with the highest quality and in a timely fashion. We had had storm damage from Hurricane Florence and were really nervous about restoring what ServePro aggressively tore out, but Ariel took all of the anxiety out of the work as he handled everything with ease. In addition to tile work, the team replaced ceilings and trim work and repaired and painted a steep staircase ceiling and wall with no damage or "spillover" to anything else in the same rooms or locations. I will definitely hire New Hope Painting, Drywall, and Remodel again!

I am a happy customer! I had asked Chris to come out to my home a year ago for an estimate. Time passed and we were finally ready to change our carpet. I contacted Chris by email and I was in the office the next day looking at samples. He understood our wants and needs and provided several options at different price points, and he explained the pros and cons of all. We made a decision and 6 days later, our new carpet was installed! We are very pleased with the final product. Installation was great- the two installers were professional and kept a clean work space the entire time and cleaned up on their way out. We will definitely use Carolina In Home Flooring again!

    Leon Home Repairs
Leon Home Improvement will be my first choice to complete work on my home. Fast response, prompt, courteous and professional. The team when doing the bathroom/laundry room work, would clean each night before leaving. Nothing was assumed - if there was a problem, they brought it to our attention. If there were more than one way to do the work, we were consulted. Just a pleasure to work with and will be back soon for the popcorn ceiling removal.

Ultimately, we are happy with the finished product. The beginning of the project did not go smoothly. We were expecting the workers between 8 and 10am and were told that this was a 2 hour job. The night before (7PM) the day of the job we received a call from the project manager asking if we could reschedule. Since we had taken time off of work to get this completed, the answer was no. So, according to schedule, a worker arrived at 9am the next day. Unfortunately, this 2 hour job turned into a 6 hour job. We contacted the project manager when we were at the 4 hour mark (double the time we had allotted for this job) because the worker informed us that it would be ANOTHER 2 hours. We had planned to take care of a few things; taking advantage of the day off during business hours. We missed our 1PM appointment due to the job taking triple the amount of time that we were told. The worker worked alone the entire day. At the end of the job, the project manager came and we discussed the huge discrepancy in the estimate time and actual time. Additionally, there were gaps between the new floor and each doorway, the toilet, etc. We were informed that the new flooring was thinner than the old and that the salesman should have informed us that this was a possibility. Well, he did not. Also, there was damage to the baseboards; a groove that extended the entire perimeter. We are not clear how this happened, but my husband states that he saw the guy pull up the floor and it looked like the tool that he used would hit in the same place as this gash. So, at this point, we were not happy with the results. We spoke with the project manager. THIS IS WHERE THEY REALLY SHOWED HOW GREAT A COMPANY THEY ARE. As we all know, things don't always go well, but the response to issues is important to consider. He completely agreed that the was clear damage to our baseboards. He was sorry that our expectations were not managed properly regarding the outcome of the gaps at every door way and at the toilet. He gave us advice about contacting a plumber to fix the toilet. He arranged for other workers to come and fill in the gaps with putty. Also, they repaired the baseboards and repainted them. He was also very apologetic regarding the excessive amount of time that this job took. He explained that they had a bigger job that was running over and that's why the worker was alone on this job. (Reason for the last minute call the night before to try to reschedule) He stated this is not customary behavior and just unforeseen circumstances. We are in the process of getting a plumber to fix the pipe so that the toilet sits flush on the new floor. Besides that, everything is GREAT. We are very satisfied with the finished product. Of course, it would be optimal for all things to go as expected. However, you should know that if things don't go perfectly, this is a company that takes full accountability and will fix things to ensure that you are happy with the quality of the work. I would hire them again.

The initial consult went well, with prompt arrival, plenty of information, and allowed me to see available samples.  They did not try to oversell me on flooring quality I didn't need and were very helpful.  Since I was simply replacing low-grade vinyl in a Town House, I didn't really see a lot of samples, but if I was doing this for my own home I would probably like to see a greater assortment and variety, which it sounds like they have access to.  The company also does a lot more than just vinyl.
When it came time for install, the installer was a little late due to equipment trouble (cold weather), but finally arrived thirty minutes after the two hour window and did a very good quality job on the installation.  What was estimated for a two and a half hour job took about four, and a few times for status I received phone calls initially in Spanish (one was a wrong number) from the contractor - which I do not speak -- though I was able to get them to put the other contractor on who spoke English.  I'm not sure if they were regular employees or hired subs as they also had to come back by to get the signature form signed.  They were very polite and easy to work with.
All being said, the work was fine though and the cost was way better than expected.  I would use them again.

    Floor Coverings International
completedThe service was very good.  I was referred by my mother who was so pleased with her services that she recommended Marty when I told her I was planning to re carpet my home.  The service was personal and friendly.  Marty was very easy to work with and knowledgable.  He did an in home consultation and assisted me in choosing the carpet that was best for my needs and budget.  All my questions were answered.  I was able to look at and try different carpet samples throughout my home insuring the best choice.  The installers were also friendly and knowledgable.  They were skilled and took time to do a good job.  They allowed me time to vacuum along the baseboards and steps after the old carpet was removed and before laying the new carpet down.  They were very careful with my furniture as they were moving it and took care to not bang or mark up my walls/door frames.  All my furniture was returned to the proper location and after each room was completed, I was asked if I was happy with where everything was placed.  The cost was exactly what was quoted, no surprises.  I am very happy with my new carpet and my experience with Marty, Randy and Adam at Floor Covering International.

    Floor Coverings International
We have used this company on four separate occasions over the last 7 or 8 years. While our first-floor master bedroom was the most recent area carpeted, this company has installed carpet in the entire second and third floors of our home, relocating furniture as they worked. They also added hardwood flooring to a small area.
Marty is the owner and he wants his customers to be completely satisfied with their new flooring. From product selection and cost proposal to installation and warranty explanation, the level of professionalism is always very high. Marty is able to bring product samples to the home so that we can see how things look in our own space and lighting. Pricing is competitive and very fair. His product quality is very good. You will be satisfied. I recommend Marty and his company to friends and relatives with any hesitation.

The Grout Medic - Raleigh Durham & Chapel Hill
Prior to that we had all the re-grouting, we had a company come in to do that. They did a nice job. I think they called themselves The Grout Medic. When he quoted this job, he laid out several different options which was good. He broke out everything price wise, individually, price wise. The total cost ended up to be actually about 1400 dollars. They also recommended another glass company. Our experience was good. They had to come out and check. They wanted to match the grouting with the tiles that we had both in the shower stall but also the tiles of the bathroom floor. Then when they decided and everybody agreed, they spent time just going through and trying to match them with us and we came to an agreement on different grouts. They came back again to schedule the job and came back again. The young man that did it spent the entire day or so, whatever, just kept on working, working, working till everything was done. He did a nice job and did a good clean up. They are very good. I don't think we had any delays or we didn't have anybody calling and say oh, I can't make it today, we will do it some other day. They were very prompt. From what I could gather, I thought that they had a very reasonable price for the work that they had to do I would say good.

First, I called Fisher Hardwood Flooring on Thursday, April 2nd, 2015; Matt and I discussed having an estimate done. We scheduled for the following day, Friday, April 3rd, 2015. His lead installer - Andy came by around the approx. time frame that he [Matt] stated he would come. He surveyed my hardwood floors; I provided him one of my sample planks so that they could better identify a match for potential future work. He stated he would get back to me with an estimate. I never heard from Matt nor Andy again.
I texted Matt back that following Monday (April 6th)  -- all things considered we have had several exchanges over text messages in scheduling the initial visit, proving to be a viable and accepted form of communication with Fisher; I was fine with that -- NO RESPONSE. I called on Wednesday, April 8th AND left a message inquiring about the estimate -- NO RESPONSE. I emailed on Thursday, April 9th 2015 -- NO RESPONSE. In the past I may have note received the most timely INITIAL responses from business, but NEVER have I had a discussion with a service provider -- scheduled visit -- had service provider visit AND PROVIDED THEM WITH MY PERSONAL PROPERTY as a sample AND they totally NEVER respond back nor acknowledge my polite attempts to reach out to them about the estimate.
While I'm sure they've done good work in the past (And hopefully my experience is a "one-off" for them) -- I can't deny the reviews. But this is a lesson learned, don't always go by the history of reviews -- get a thorough feel for your potential Service Provider to the best of your ability, through tone and behavior. And as for Service Providers -- keeping a clear communication with your potential client whether work is in inception, analysis or implementation phases is paramount, as with any relationship.
I was completely abandoned. With one less sample plank. :-/

    Affordable Tile by Moses
This was our second time using Affordable Tiles by Moses which I think tells you enough! Ken was great with communicating in regards to scheduling, obtaining the right materials, and ensuring that we were satisfied. He showed up promptly and stayed until the job was done. He is very friendly and polite and takes caution to ensure our home was well maintained throughout the process. Wish we had more projects to tile!
