  • I arrived at the office a few moments before my appointment, checked in, and sat down. A few moments later, the receptionist announced that the physician whom I was scheduled to see was running 90 minutes late and if we needed to reschedule, to please do so. I had time (and stuff to work on) so I stayed. But within 10 minutes, I was called back. The nurse performed an extensive health check: weight, blood pressure, heart rate, prescription overview, and general health assessment. She took extensive notes, asking lots of questions. She left, and I waited for the physician about 20 minutes. When the physician came in, we talked about the specific reason I was there (a prescription), and then he asked me lots of other questions: female health issues, was anything bothering me about my health, et cetera. He also asked me about my family and job, mentioning specifics he had learned from previous appointments.

This appointment sums up why I really like this provider and his office staff:
    - They were running late. They told everyone, and allowed the waiting patients to make the decision to stay or go with no penalty.
    - Why was the provider running late? Because I know, when he comes into the exam room, that if I wanted to sit in there and discuss world politics or how my pinky toe hurts, the physician (and the nurse) would stay in there with me until i was finished, regardless of how long that appointment takes. (Of course, I would never waste their time like that, but the thought that they will give each patient as long as he or she wants is refreshing.)
    - Even though they write stuff down during one appointment (my child's name, for instance) and then repeat it back the next time from the notes is fine with me...they're making the effort to show they are concerned about my whole-person well-being.

  • He is very good. The staff is very good too. His nurse is wonderful too. They were work very well together, which is rare. He is very interested in the patients too. I can't say enough nice things about him.

  • EVERYONE in the office is wonderful. It's an older building, but has been remodeled and is nice and comfortable. No long waiting on my visit. Everyone professional. Since it was just a check up, I saw Meg Dolan, Dr. Rickabaugh's nurse practitioner, and she was thorough , knowledgeable, very kind and helpful. My husband has also become a patient and he too was very pleased. He too said he didn't have a long wait and enjoyed talking with Ms. Dolan.

  • He is very thorough and honest. He is a really good, old-fashioned practitioner. I feel jealous of my mom that he is not my doctor. Once we got there late, still they took her right away. When I was there, there was a whole bunch of people complaining about their $5 coupon failing and the staff was patient with them, which was nice.

  • I had been shopping around for doctors for a long time and John really does the job. His confidense as a man of science is the most important thing. John is a very fine man and I've been a patient of his for 10 years. He's got a great nurse (Crystal) and I'm a critical person, so that's saying a lot. He is well read and up to date. He's a young man at 42 and very bright. I have a lot of respect for John and he's not only well prepared but he is also a very decent man. He is very interested in his patients and will spend sufficient time with you. With many of the doctors i've experienced before, you have a limited amount of time but John takes all the time he needs. He's intellegent and personable.

  • We started to go to Sea Breeze Family Practice because our long-time FNP had started working there. She left rather abruptly, leaving us with very little choice but to continue seeing other practitioners there. I have been fairly happy with the care from the nurse practitioners; however, the staff and office administration is horrible. I had blood work done, was told to call on a certain day to receive the results. I called, and got their voicemail (which is always the case, whether you are making an appointment or calling in for a refill) - and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, after four days of waiting for a returned phone call, I called back and (quite by accident) managed to get the hall nurse. She still put me off for another two days. I have had trouble getting appointments; when I call in the morning for an appointment, I have to leave my info on the voicemail and hope that they will get back to me by close of business that day. I don't work near a telephone, and if I'm not nearby, and I do get a call back, they leave a message - and I call, get the voicemail, and off we go again. This, while their advertisements state "same day appointments available". I wonder how that works out.

  • He spends time with you. He seems to be very concerned with every individual. I think he's a very good doctor. He's very sincere.

  • She saw me on time. The visit went well and it didn't take long. The overall experience was excellent. It took a month to get the appointment.
