  • Very slow. Dropped it off on a Tuesday. Theodore Kenneth Sever {ken} looked at it on a Wednesday. On Thursday he installed some parts which he was 90% certain would fix the problem. He was wrong. Friday went by. No contact. Monday at 3pm I called him. He said he believed he knew what part is causing the problem and he will try to have it sent via overnight shipping. Tuesday, the part isn't there. He informs me that once the part is installed, it needs to be programmed and he uses a mobile mechanic to do the programming, and of course we are at their mercy when it comes to how soon they can come out and resolve the problem. I tell him I have to pick the car up on Wednesday. He gets upset, yet he ultimately made it happen. So I pick the car up on Wednesday which is 8 days from when I dropped it off. Turns out it only needed one single part, He charges me a total of $1355.28! He claims he has waived the labor fee for installing the parts that I didn't need. He also tells me that for all the parts he's only going to charge me what the parts cost him. The parts I didn't need came to $179 plus tax, which, after ding some research, I found out they go for much less than that. He also charges me $756 plus tax for the part that I needed. It's a rebuilt transmission control module, part number 24239062. These rebuilt modules go for under $200, just about anywhere you look. He gouged me. He also charged me $149 for the mobile mechanic. I actually saw their invoice to him. It was $130. His labor charge was $222, which I thought was reasonable. Bottom line, you'll be better off taking your vehicle to a legit shop, like Aamco or Pep Boys or Midas. They won't be cheap either but they will be cheaper than Ken and they won't dilly dally. This should have been a 3 day job at about $800 plus tax.

  • I m very pleased and happiest guy in entire world!! They are quick with their service and stop the leakage. There is no leak at all!! They did double check inside of my transmission while they took it out of the car, saying it is still excellent condition and doesn't need to be rebuilt. Other places would charge me $3,500 to rebuild when it doesn't need it. They keep the cost low as possible so I can afford to have the car repaint in the future. Many thanks to Buster, they did amazing job!

  • I went to Busters with a slipping transmission. We checked the fluid level and it seemed OK. He drove it and said it seemed as if the fluid level was low, so we checked again and it was. He put in some fluid and we drove it again and it was fine. Super to work with and charged me for just the fluid and his time. Super. If this isn't a permanent fix, I'll definitely take it back to him. I trust this guy.

  • It has been a few years since we have been there, but we have a warranty on our transmission for life. We like the fact that they did our transmission, they even put a motor in for us and even that was a good job. They went through a couple of new managers, not owners, but he had a couple of managers in there at one time. They seem to have a steady cliental now. It does not seem to be overloaded. So, I am going to say they probably have somebody in there now who can manage it correctly. The quality of the work they did when the rebuilt the transmission was good.

  • From start to finish they were professional and told us what needed to be done every step of the way. Ken was helpful and very pleasant to work with. We feel they are extremely honest and go out of their way to accommodate the customer.

  • Extremely friendly and competent service, well organized and clean shop, quality work. Bruce did a tremendous job on the transmission, is extremely knowledgeable in the field of transmissions, and performs the work fast and efficiently. His estimate was accurate and the transmission has never performed better, even when new. After suffering dealership work on this transmission when at 18K, it has never shifted correctly since. Bruce of Advanced Transmission Care did an outstanding job and it shifts effortlessly and drives far quieter than it ever has. A very skilled craftsman.

  • I PICKED UP THE VAN AFTER HOURS AND THE TECH DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO WORK THE CREDIT CARD MACHINE. I SMELLED WHAT APPEARED TO ME TO BE A FUNNY ODOR ON THE GUY. NO WONDER MY VAN IS IN SUCH A MESS AND PARTS WERE LAYING IN THE DRAIN PAN. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!
