    Truckin Movers Corporation
Trucking Movers was extremely easy to work with. They are quick to get back with any questions I had and the scheduling process was very easy. As for the move, it was clear the guys have worked together for a while and were very careful despite the item being very heavy. I would certainly use their services again.

    Truckin Movers Corporation
A man came to give us an estimate. Although I dont think he was intentionally rude, he was definitely not there to answer our questions. He damanded to know what we were going to do about things his company would not do and the only other thing he seemed interested in talking to us about was what we would be required to do before his company would move our stuff. Some of these were reasonable requests and some were completely unreasonable judging by the info from other companies. The whole experience was totally bizarre compared with other companies who came out and didnt seem to have any issues or require us to do anything special. The man (he never said, but his business card said his name is Nick), said hed have an estimate to us the next day. We never heard from him or his company again. Fortunately, we had only good experiences with the other companies and had several good choices for our move!

    Fire Logistics Moving Specialists
It was a joy to work with Fire Logistics. I don't use that term lightly - we had a horrible moving experience the weeks prior with our interstate move with another company. Here's what you should know: they are prompt and professional, they take care of the items as if it was there own, and they show great integrity. Unlike other local movers that have terms in the fine print guaranteed to increase the quote and make it inconvenient to pay with extra charges for credit cards, our moves came under the quoted amount, everything arrived safely, and it was easy to pay after the move with no additional fees. If you are looking for movers who have logos on their truck and tshirts, they may not be for you. If what you are looking for are quality movers who will work efficiently, rent trucks at cost to save you money, and genuinely nice folks, then give them a call! One tip regardless: the more organized you are (items packed and know where they go in your new home), the faster they can work minimizing the hourly fee!

Stevens Moving & Storage of Cleveland
Joe came out twice to give estimates as we changed our moving needs. Great guy to work with. Dave and the moving crew were also great to work with. Delivered our items within the window they told us they would and kept us informed on when they would arrive. True to Stevens word, our actual weight came in lower than estimated so they lowered the bill accordingly. Very happy with the service.

Virginia Varsity Transfer and Self Storage
I can't say enough great things about this company. They provided caring and professional service at a very difficult time for our family. The young men that moved the furnishings were so careful with every detail. Nothing was broken or misplaced. The price of the service was very competitive especially for the quality provided

    A1 Moving
When reviewing several candidates for our move, the difference early on was the personal attention from A-1.  Rather than having us fill out forms and estimating our move through formulas and communicating via email, we spent a good deal of time on the phone explaining what made our situation unique,  including an apiary, wood and stained glass workshops and the associated tools, equipment, and raw materials which included several hundred pounds of stained glass sheets and nearly a ton of hardwoods.  Their advice and suggestions were invaluable even before we had made the  decision about which carrier we would use.  What they suggested and what made their option the most economical  for us was to hire them  to load two trucks with the most important items and those items best moved by professionals.  The remainder we would move ourselves and/or discard.  This allowed us to keep costs at a reasonable level for a move that was almost impossible to estimate otherwise.  It turned out beautifully.  They did such a great job packing the two trucks that we ended up with them handling all of the expensive (and heavy!) stuff,  and we were able to get the remainder into a smaller rental truck (which we did at a later date.)  They kept telling us that they would not be the cheapest carrier, which was true, but neither was their estimate the most expensive one that we received.
We could not be more pleased, impressed, and in awe of the work that the movers did.  They arrived in WV with fresh snow on the ground, and the high temperature the days they loaded the trucks was 12 degrees; when they unloaded in NC, it was in the middle of an ice storm.  Yet they did not slow down or hesitate to focus on their jobs.  We have already recommended them to a couple of other people and will not hesitate to call them at any time in the future.

DeHaven's Transfer & Storage of Greensboro Inc
Everything leading up to the day of the move went well with DeHaven's, i.e. quote process and the little arrangements. I was expecting a smooth move. On the day of the move, the crew showed up 4 hours late. There's not a lot to do at a storage facility to pass 4 hours of time. Although I paid an extra fee for moving a piano, which was clearly indicated on everyone's paperwork, they arrived without a piano moving board and too few men to move a piano. The crew was slow and unmotivated. When the additional crew and piano board arrived (almost 4 hours later) it seemed to me that nobody was properly trained in piano moving. I've watched my piano being moved several times over the years and I'm very surprised that due to the odd way the chose to get the piano on the board, one of the men did not suffer back injuries. The piano was one of the last items loaded and come to find out, they had run out of furniture pads. The additional crew had just arrived, I'm pretty sure they could have brought additional pads had they been requested by the first crew. The piano was wrapped with my bedding, throw rugs and a flannel shirt as these were the only things available. Because the crews arrived late and moved so slowly, it was getting close to the time when the storage facility would lock down and any motion sensor activity would send the sheriff. So, there wasn't really any time to fix this problem, we had to get out and I simply hoped for the best. Not a big surprise to me, the piano arrived with chips and gouges. Luckily, I had taken an insurance policy with a deductible. To DeHaven's credit, the claim process was not a problem. I had a check reasonably quickly. However, I asked DeHaven's for some consideration on the deductible due to the unprofessional preparation. Bottom Line : They screwed up, did a poor job and because of that, I'm out $250. I realize crap happens occasionally but this could have been avoided by doing the job correctly. A company that cares about their customer and takes pride in what they do would own up to their mistakes and work with the customer. I'm sure they could have covered the deductible, had a satisfied customer and still made money on the move. However, they've chosen to ignore me.

Everything on the delivery end went very well. it was DeHaven's affiliate North American Van Lines who actually drove the load, and North American's local representative that did the unloading. They were quick, careful and polite.
